PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons,
including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin
touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this
heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows,
bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from
the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near
children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and
unattended.
4. Always unplug heater when not in use.
5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the
heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
Discard heater or return heater to authorized service facility for
examination, eletrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
6. Do not use outdoors.
7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and
similar indoor locations. Never place heater where it may fall into
bathtub or other water container.
8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs,
runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or
appliance. Arrange cord away from traffic areas and where it will not
be tripped over.
9. To disconnect heater, first turn controls to off, then remove plug
from outlet.
10. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or
exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or
damage the heater.
11. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any
manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings
may become blocked.
12. A heater has hot and arcing parts inside. Do not use it in areas
where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.

13. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not
recomended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or
injury to persons.
14. CAUTION: Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle.
Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap
(out/power strip).
15. This heater draws 12.5 amps during operation. To prevent
overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater into a circuit that
already has other appliances working.
16. It is normal for the plug to feel warm to the touch, however, a loose
fit between the AC outlet (receptacle) and plug may cause
overheating and distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified electrician
to replace loose or worn outlet.
17. The output of this heater may vary and its temperature may become
intense enough to burn exposed skin. Use of this heater is not
recommended for persons with reduced sensitivity to heat or an
inability to react to avoid burns.
18. Don’t leave the heater on unattended.

feature. If you are unable
to insert the plug fully into
the outlet, try reversing the
plug. If the plug should still
fail to fit, contact your
electrician to replace your
outlet. DO NOT defeat the
safety purpose of the
polarized plug.
1. Check that neither the appliance nor the power cable has been
damaged in any way during transportation when first using.
2. Place the heater on a firm level surface that is free of obstructions, and
at least 3’ (0.9 m) away from all walls and other objects such as
furniture, curtains, plants or combustible material.
3. Plug the heater into a grounded 120 V AC, 60 Hz source.
IMPORTANT: Your heater is equipped with a polarized alternating
current line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the other).
This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way. This is a safety
feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try
reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your
electrician to replace your outlet. DO NOT alter the safety features of
the polarized plug.

4. Temperature Control Knob
Insert the plug into the power socket then turn the Temperature
Control knob clockwise to the desired heat setting. Adjust the
temperature accordingly.
5. Power Switch Knob
Turn the Power selection knob to select between 3 functions:
Fan only, Low 750W, High 1500W.
6. To turn off the heater turn the Power Switch Knob to OFF position.
SAFETY FEATURES
Thermal Cut-Off: This heater includes a Thermal Cut-Off Overheat
Protection System that shuts the heater off if it overheats due to
abnormal conditions. If this occurs, turn the heater “OFF”,unplug it, and
inspect and remove any objects on or adjacent to the heater. Allow it to
cool for a few minutes, plug it back in, and resume normal operation.
Tip over switch: This heater includes a safety tip over switch, which will
shut the heater off in the event it is tipped over. If at any time, the
heater does tip over, please put the heater back in the upright position.
The heater will then resume its normal operation.

Troubleshoong
If your heater fails to operate, please follow these instructions:
• Ensure that your circuit breaker or fuse is working properly.
• Be sure the heater is plugged in and that the electrical outlet is
working properly.
• Check for any obstuction. If you find any obstruction, turn the heater
“OFF”.
Unplug the heater and wait a few minutes for it to cool down. Carefully
remove the obstruction. Plug the heater in and turn it on again by
referring to the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS.
Cleaning and Storage:
It is recommended that the heater be cleaned at least one time during
the operating season in order to provide the optimum level of
performance.
ALWAYS TURN THE POWER SWITCH OFF AND UNPLUG THE HEATER
BEFORE CLEANING.
Be sure to save the box for off-season storage.
• Turn the heater “OFF”, unplug it and wait for the heater to cool down.
• Use a dry cloth to clean only external surfaces of the heater.
• Do not use any cleaning agents or detergents.
• Never immerse the heater in water.
• Pack the heater in the original carton and store it in a cool and
dry place.

POR FAVOR, LEA Y GUARDE ESTAS IMPORTANTES INSTRUCCIONES
DE SEGURIDAD
Al utilizar los aparatos eléctricos, siempre se deben seguir las precauciones
básicas para reducir el riesgo de incendios, descargas eléctricas y lesiones a
las personas, incluyendo lo siguiente:
1. Lea todas las instrucciones antes de utilizar el calefactor.
2. Este calefactor se calienta durante su uso. Para evitar quemaduras, no
deje que la piel entre en contacto con las superficies calientes. Si existe la
posibilidad, utilice las asas al mover este calefactor. Mantenga los
materiales combustibles como muebles, almohadas, ropa de cama,
papeles, telas y cortinas al menos a 3 pies (0.9m) de distancia de la parte
frontal del calefactor y manténgalos alejados de los lados y la parte
trasera.
3. Es necesario ejercer una precaución extrema cuando se utilice cualquier
calefactor por o cerca de niños o enfermos, y cuando se deje el calefactor
en funcionamiento sin atención.
4. Siempre desenchufe el calefactor cuando no lo utilice.

6. No lo utilice en exteriores.
7. Este calefactor no está diseñado para su uso en baños, áreas de
lavandería y sitios interiores similares. No lo coloque nunca donde se
podría caer en una bañera u otros recipientes con agua.
8. No meta el cable por debajo de las alfombras. No lo cubra con tapetes o
coberturas similares. No lo pase bajo los muebles o aparatos. Colóquelo
alejado del área de tráfico y donde no pueda causar tropezones.
9. Para desconectar el calefactor, primero apague los controles, luego
desenchúfelo del tomacorriente.
10. No inserte o permita que entren objetos extraños en ninguna abertura
de ventilación o de escape, ya que esto podría causar descargas
eléctricas o incendios, o dañar el calefactor.
11. Para prevenir un posible incendio, no bloquee las entradas o salidas de
aire de ninguna forma. No lo utilice sobre superficies blandas como una
cama, donde se podrían bloquear las aberturas.

12. Un calefactor tiene partes calientes y arcos en el interior. No lo utilice en
las áreas donde se utilice o almacene gasolina, pintura o líquidos
inflamables.
13. Utilice este calefactor sólo según se describe en este manual. Cualquier
otro uso no recomendado por el fabricante podría causar incendios,
descargas eléctricas o lesiones a las personas.
14. PRECAUCIÓN: Siempre enchufe los calefactores directamente en un
tomacorriente/receptáculo de pared. No utilice nunca un cable de
extensión o conexión eléctrica reubicable (tomacorriente/enchufe
múltiple)
15. Este calefactor consume 12.5 amperios durante su funcionamiento. Para
evitar sobrecargar un circuito, no enchufe el calefactor en un circuito con
otros aparatos en funcionamiento.
16. Es normal que el enchufe se sienta caliente al tacto; pero un mal ajuste
entre el tomacorriente (receptáculo) de CA y el enchufe podría causar el
sobrecalentamiento y la deformación del enchufe. Contacte a un
electricista calificado para reemplazar el tomacorriente suelto o
desgastado.
17. El calor producido por este calefactor podría variar y su temperatura
podría volverse lo suficientemente elevada como para quemar la piel
expuesta. El uso de este calefactor no está recomendado para las
personas con sensibilidad reducida al calor o incapacidad para reaccionar
para evitar quemaduras.

Su calefactor está equipado con
un enchufe polarizado de
corriente alterna (un enchufe con
una clavija más ancha que la
otra). Este enchufe se adaptará al
tomacorriente de una forma,
solamente. Esto es una
característica de seguridad. Si no
puede insertar el enchufe
totalmente en el tomacorriente,
intente darle la vuelta. Si todavía
no puede introducir el enchufe,
contacte a su electricista para
reemplazarlo. NO anule el
propósito de seguridad del
enchufe polarizado.
1. Verifique que ni el aparato ni el cable de alimentación se hayan dañado de
ninguna forma durante el transporte al utilizarlo por primera vez.
2. Coloque el calefactor en una superficie nivelada firme sin obstrucciones, y
al menos a 3 pies (0.9m) de distancia de cualquier pared u otros objetos
como muebles, cortinas, plantas o materiales combustibles.
3. Enchufe el calefactor en un tomacorriente de 120 V CC de 60 Hz con
conexión a tierra.
IMPORTANTE: Su calefactor está equipado con un enchufe polarizado de
corriente alterna (un enchufe con una clavija más ancha que la otra). Este
enchufe se adaptará al tomacorriente de una forma, solamente. Esto es una
característica de seguridad. Si no puede insertar el enchufe completamente

4. Perilla de control de temperatura
Inserte el enchufe en el tomacorriente luego gire la perilla de control
de temperatura en el sentido de las agujas del reloj hasta el ajuste de
calor deseado. Ajuste la temperatura en consecuencia.
5. Perilla de selección de potencia
Gire la perilla de selección de potencia para seleccionar entre 3
funciones: sólo ventilador, 750W bajo, 1500W alto.
6. Para apagar el calefactor gire la perilla de selección de potencia
a la posición OFF.
CARACTERÍSTICAS DE SEGURIDAD
Desconexión térmica: Este calefactor contiene un sistema de
protección contra sobrecalentamiento con desconexión térmica que
apaga el calefactor si se sobrecalienta de forma anormal. Si esto
ocurre, apague el calefactor, desenchúfelo, inspeccione y retire todos
los objetos sobre o junto al calefactor. Deje que se enfríe durante
algunos minutos, luego enchúfelo y vuelva a encenderlo para seguir
su funcionamiento normal.
Interruptor de vuelco:
Este calefactor incorpora un interruptor de seguridad antivuelco que
lo apagará en caso de vuelco. Si en algún momento el calefactor se
vuelca, póngalo de nuevo en posición vertical. El calefactor
reanudará su funcionamiento normal.

Solución de problemas

Si su calefactor no funciona, por favor siga las siguientes instrucciones:
• Asegúrese de que el disyuntor o fusible funcionen correctamente.
• Asegúrese de que el calefactor esté enchufado y el tomacorriente
eléctrico funcione correctamente.
• Verifique si hay alguna obstrucción. Si la encuentra, apague
el calefactor.
Desenchufe el calefactor y espere durante algunos minutos para que
se enfríe. Retire la obstrucción cuidadosamente. Enchufe el calefactor y vuelva
a encenderlo según lo descrito en las INSTRUCCIONES DE USO.
Limpieza y almacenamiento
Se recomienda que el calefactor se limpie al menos una vez en la temporada
de operación, a fin de ofrecer el mejor nivel de desempeño.
SIEMPRE APAGUE EL INTERRUPTOR DE ALIMENTACIÓN Y DESENCHUFE EL
CALEFACTOR ANTES DE LA LIMPIEZA
Guarde la caja para el almacenamiento fuera de la temporada.
• Apague el calefactor, desenchúfelo y espere a que se enfríe.
• Utilice un paño seco para limpiar las superficies externas del
calefactor, solamente.
• No utilice ningún agente de limpieza o detergente.
• Nunca sumerja el calefactor en el agua.
• Empaque el calefactor en la caja de cartón original y guárdelo
en un lugar fresco y seco.
