1. Unpack the Portable Fireplace Heater from the box.
2. Remove any packaging such as cardboard, paper and/or styrofoam.
3. Wipe clean with a soft cloth. NEVER IMMERSE THE PORTABLE FIREPLACE
HEATER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE MATERIAL TO CLEAN THE SURFACE

1. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse power cord or plug in
water or any other liquid. This is an electrical appliance. To avoid the risk of
electrical shock or serious personal injury, always operate with dry hands.
2. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near
children. This heater is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning the use of the heater by a person responsible for their safety.
3. Do not use the heater outdoors or in wet areas. It is for household use only.
4. Do not allow the heater to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when
heater is used by or near children.
5. Do not use the heater with a damaged cord or outlet plug. Do not use the
heater if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped in water.
Return the heater to the service center for examination, repair or refund or
contact customer service.
6. Do not handle the plug or the heater with wet hands.
7. Use the heater only as described in this manual. The use of accessory
attachments or any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause fire, damage to the heater, electric shock or personal injuries.
8. Do not put any object into openings of the heater. Do not use with any
opening blocked. Keep free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce air
flow.
9. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings
and moving parts.
10. Do not use abrasive materials to clean the heater. Do not immerse the heater
in water.

11. Do not place the heater on a small, unlevel, uneven surface which might allow
heater to tip or fall. For proper operation, heater should be placed on a
smooth, non-combustible surface.
12. Do not place on rugs, carpet, vinyl flooring or other plastic surfaces.
13. Use the heater only in dry environments. This heater is not intended for use in
bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never place heater
where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
14. Do not use heater in damp environments such as a flooded basement.
15. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners
or similar coverings. Do not route cords under furniture or appliances.
Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
16. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot
surfaces. Use provided handle when moving the heater.
17. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers,
clothes and curtains at least 3 feet away from the front, sides and back of the
heater.
18. Do not use heater unattended.
19. Store the heater indoors. Store after use to prevent accidents.
20. Do not abuse the power cord. Never carry the heater by the power cord or
pull the power cord to disconnect the outlet plug from an outlet; instead
grasp the outlet plug and pull to disconnect.
21. Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
22. Do not let power cord hang over edge of counter or touch hot surfaces.
23. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
24. To disconnect, always turn OFF first, then unplug from wall outlet.
25. This heater is not designed to be a primary heat source.
26. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet. Never use with an extension
cord or power strip.
27. A heater has hot and sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where
gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are utilized or stored.
28. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner.
29. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.

WARNING: Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The warnings,
cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all
possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the
operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this
product, but must be supplied by the operator.
CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords
are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their
use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also, the
cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V, and at least 13 A., 1625 W.,
and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.
Polarized plug
NOTE: This heater has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
•As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit
in a polarized outlet only one way.
•If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
•If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.
Electric power
If electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliances may not operate
properly. The appliances should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from
other operating appliances.
Safety warning
Although your heater is easy to operate, for your safety, the warnings below must be
followed:
1. Do not place the heater near a heat source.
2. Do not unplug by pulling on the power supply cord.
3. The heater must be unplugged:
A. Before any cleaning or maintenance.
B. If it appears to be faulty.

How to use
1. Always operate the heater in the upright position while following all
recommendations and instructions listed in this manual.
2. Place the heater in an area of the room that is the coldest.
3. Plug into a compatible wall outlet. Be sure the plug fits tightly.
NOTE: To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater into a circuit that
other electrical appliances are plugged into.
Control Knob
•LED flame effect only –turn control knob to FLAME ONLY setting.
Indicator light will come on.
•LOW heat –turn control knob to LOW HEAT setting. The fan will come on
at full speed and heat will be limited to 700 watts.
•HIGH heat –turn control knob to HIGH HEAT setting. The fan will come on
at full speed and heat will reach limit of 1200 watts.
•OFF –turn control knob to OFF. The power indicator light will go off.
OVER HEAT PROTECTION
This heater is protected with an overheat protection that switches off the heater
automatically in case of overheating, ex: due to partial or total obstruction of
the main grids. In this case, unplug the heater for it to cool and remove any
obstruction. After 30 minutes, switch the heater back on and the heater should
operate normally. Should the problem persist, contact customer service.

Cleaning and Maintenance
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the portable fireplace heater is switched to OFF (O) and
unplugged before cleaning or attempting to store the fan.
1. Before cleaning, turn the heater off and unplug from the electrical outlet.
2. Wipe off excess dust with a lint free cloth.
3. A vacuum cleaner brush attachment can be used to clean the fan guard. This
will help remove lint and dirt from inside the fan. NOTE: A can of compressed
air may also be used to help push any excess dirt out.
4. Should the heater housing become soiled, it can be cleaned with a damp cloth
using warm (not hot) soapy water and a mild detergent solution. Wipe dry.
5. Do not immerse your heater in water or any other liquids. Do not allow any
liquid to get into the fan or motor.
6. Do not use gasoline, thinner or benzene as a cleaner.
Please Note:
Take care not to stain the plastic parts with oil. Avoid using the fan in places
where oil is liable to spill on fan. Damage or deterioration can be caused by oil on
the housing.

1. Para protegerse contra una descarga eléctrica, no sumerja el cable de
alimentación o los enchufes en agua u otro líquido. Este es un
electrodoméstico. Para evitar el riesgo de descarga eléctrica o lesiones graves,
siempre debe usarlo con las manos secas.
2. Es necesaria una atenta supervisión cuando el aparato es usado por niños o
cerca de estos. Este caloventor no está destinado para ser utilizado por

7. Utilice el caloventor solamente como se describe en este manual. El uso de

detallan en este manual de instrucciones no cubren todas las condiciones y
situaciones posibles que podrían suceder. El operador debe entender que el sentido
común y la precaución son factores que no se pueden incluir en el producto, sino que
los debe aportar el operador mismo.
PRECAUCIÓN: Se proporciona un cable eléctrico corto para reducir el riesgo de
lesiones personales resultantes de enredarse o tropezar con un cable más largo. Hay
disponibles cables de extensión en las tiendas locales de hardware y estos se pueden
utilizar si se tiene cuidado en su uso. Si se requiere usar un cable de extensión, es

Enchufe polarizado
NOTA: Este caloventor posee un enchufe polarizado (una clavija es más ancha que la
otra).
•Como medida de seguridad para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, este
enchufe está diseñado para entrar en un tomacorriente polarizado en un solo
sentido.
•Si el enchufe no entra completamente en el tomacorriente, gire el enchufe.
•Si el enchufe aún no encaja, comuníquese con un electricista calificado. No
intente eliminar esta característica de seguridad.
Alimentación eléctrica
Si el circuito eléctrico está sobrecargado con otros electrodomésticos, estos podrían
no funcionar correctamente. Los electrodomésticos se deben utilizar en un circuito

Uso
1. Siempre use el caloventor en posición vertical, siguiendo todas las
recomendaciones e instrucciones indicadas en este manual.
2. Coloque el caloventor en la zona más fría de la habitación.
3. Enchufe en un tomacorriente compatible. Verifique que quede bien ajustado.
NOTA: Para evitar la sobrecarga de un circuito, no enchufe el caloventor en un
circuito en el que estén enchufados otros electrodomésticos.
Perilla de control
•Efecto LED de llama solamente –gire la perilla de control al ajuste LLAMA
SOLAMENTE. Se encenderá la luz indicadora.
•Temperatura BAJA –gire la perilla de control al ajuste TEMPERATURA
BAJA. El ventilador se encenderá a máxima velocidad y el calor estará
limitado a 700 vatios.
•Temperatura ALTA –gire la perilla de control al ajuste TEMPERATURA
ALTA. El ventilador se encenderá a máxima velocidad y el calor alcanzará
el límite de 1200 vatios.
•APAGADO –gire la perilla de control APAGADO. Se apagará la luz
indicadora de alimentación.
PROTECCIÓN CONTRA SOBRECALENTAMIENTO
Este caloventor está protegido mediante una protección contra
sobrecalentamiento que apaga el caloventor automáticamente en caso de
sobrecalentamiento, p.ej.: debido a una obstrucción parcial o total de las rejillas
principales. En este caso, desenchufe el caloventor para permitir su
enfriamiento y elimine cualquier obstrucción. Después de 30 minutos, vuelva a
encender el caloventor y el mismo debería funcionar de la manera normal. En
caso de persistir este problema, póngase en contacto con el servicio de atención
al cliente.

PRECAUCIÓN:
Siempre asegúrese de que el caloventor portátil tipo chimenea esté apagado (O)
y desenchufado antes de limpiarlo o intentar almacenar el ventilador.
1. Antes de limpiarlo, apague el caloventor y desenchúfelo del tomacorriente.
2. Limpie el exceso de polvo con un paño sin pelusa.
3. Puede usarse un accesorio de cepillo de aspiradora para limpiar el protector
del ventilador. Esto ayudará a eliminar la pelusa y el polvo del interior del
ventilador. NOTA: También puede usarse una lata de aire comprimido para
ayudar a empujar hacia fuera cualquier exceso de suciedad.
4. En caso de que la carcasa del caloventor llegara a ensuciarse, se la puede
limpiar con un paño húmedo usando agua tibia (no caliente) jabonosa y una
solución detergente suave. Séquelo.
5. No sumerja el caloventor en agua o cualquier otro líquido. No permita el
ingreso de ningún líquido en el ventilador o el motor.
6. No use gasolina, diluyente o benceno como limpiador.
Observación:
Tenga cuidado de no manchar las piezas de plástico con aceite. Evite usar el
ventilador en lugares en donde es probable que se vuelque aceite sobre el
ventilador. El aceite en la carcasa puede producir daños o deterioro.
¡NO USE MATERIALES ABRASIVOS PARA LIMPIAR LA SUPERFICIE!
