soluzione ELASTOGEL, un tecnopolimero che appli-
cato al rullino dell'unità di resistenza offre i seguen-
ti vantaggi:

Le caratteristiche tecniche dell'ELASTOGEL sono:
elevata elasticità,resistenza alla lacerazione, all'abra-
sione e resistenza agli oli e ai solventi.
*DECIBEL
Il rumore, suono sgradevole originato da rapide
variazioni di pressione che si propagano attraverso
l'aria mediante onde successive di compressione e
di espansione,viene misurato in decibel (dB) la cui
scala ha un andamento logaritmico. Ovvero, un
suono di 60 dB ha un'intensità d'energia dieci volte
superiore a un suono di 50 dB.

A two part manufacturing process allows ELASTOGEL
to withstand abrasions, solvents, oils and heat yet
remains highly elastic.

Noise is an unpleasant sound originating from swift
variations of pressure that spread out through the
air by means of continuous compressed and expan-
ded waves and is measured in decibel (dB) which
scale has a logarithmic trend. In other words, a
sound of 60 dB has an energy intensity 10 times
greater than a sound of 50 dB.
ELITE ist stolz, ein weiteres Produkt präsentieren zu
können, das in Zusammenarbeit mit dem
Chemiekonzern BAYER entstanden ist: ELASTOGEL.
Bei ELASTOGEL handelt es sich um einen technolo-
gisch neuartigen Kunstoff, ein 2-Komponenten-
Elastomer. Dieser wird als Laufrolle für die ELITE
fitness-machines anstelle der Aluminiumwalze ein-
gesetzt und bewirkt:
• REDUZIERUNG DES GERÄUSCHPEGELS UM 50%
(GEMESSEN IN DB).
• ERHEBLICHE VERBESSERUNG DES REIFENGRIPS

Resultierend aus einem zweiphasig Herstellungsprozess

Jenes Geräusch ist unerwünscht, welches sich durch
Vibrationen und Druck ausbreitet. Der Geräuschpegel
wird in Dezibel (dB) gemessen. Die Geräuschmessung
basiert auf einem Logarithmus; dies bedeutet, dass
ein Geräusch von 60 dB zehnmal so laut ist, wie ein
Geräusch, das mit 50 dB gemessen wurde.

Le processus de production bi-composant permet à
l'ELASTOGEL de résister aux abrasifs, solvants,huiles,
chaleur, et de garder ses caractéristiques elastiques.

Le bruit provient des variations rapides de pressions
et dépressions et il provoque des désagréments , on
le mesure en décibels , et l'échelle des mesures est

Las características técnicas del ELASTOGEL son:

Een tweeledig fabrikage proces met Elastogel zorgt

Lawaai is een onplezierig geluid wat onstaat door
snelle verschillen in druk welke zich door de lucht
verspreidt door middel van drukgolven, en gemeten
wordt in decibellen (dB) op een logaritmisch schaal.
Met andere woorden een geluid van 60 dB heeft 10 maal

INTRODUZIONE
Digital B+ è un dispositivo elettronico per effet-
tuare allenamenti e test ciclistici indoor, da
interfacciare con un personal computer
(Windows) e ad App per dispositivi mobili,
come smartphone o tablet.
Grazie alle connettività “ANT+” e “Bluetooth
Smart“ integrate, il Digital B+ si connette al
computer o al device mobile senza fili. La dop-
pia connettività rende il Digital B+ compatibile
con la maggior parte di periferiche anche
senza l’aggiunta di ulteriori componenti.
Il Digital Smart B+ è compatibile con l’app di
Elite “my E-Training”. Questa è un’app che
funziona su dispositivi iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod
Touch) e Android e che ha molte funzionalità.
Il Digital Smart B+ supporta il protocollo ANT+
FE-C. Questo protocollo è stato sviluppato per
l’utilizzo con i rulli di allenamento e oltre ad
acquisire i dati dell’allenamento come velocità
e cadenza, permette anche di variare la resi-
stenza del rullo, a differenza di altri protocolli
ANT+ che acquisiscono solamente i dati senza
la possibilità di interagire con il rullo.
Inoltre il protocollo ANT+ FE-C è un protocollo
aperto che permette al rullo di funzionare con
tutti quei programmi e App che supportano
tale protocollo. In questo modo è possibile
scegliere liberamente il programma con cui
far funzionare il Digital B+ cercando quello che
meglio soddisfa le esigenze.

Nota: non tutti i computer/periferiche hanno la
connettività ANT+ integrata. Per questo motivo
potrebbe essere necessario avere un compo-
nente aggiuntivo.
Per dispositivi che hanno la connettività
Bluetooth Smart Ready, come molti telefoni e
tablet, è possibile connettersi all’App Elite my
E-Training di ultima generazione è possibile
connettersi ai sensori bluetooth smart anche
senza l’uso di componenti aggiuntivi. In questo
caso, il dispositivo si collegherà al rullo o al
sensore usando la comunicazione Bluetooth
Smart del telefono/tablet. Stessa cosa succede
nel caso della connettività ANT. Se lo
smartphone/tablet/ciclo computer dispone di
connettività ANT+ integrata userà quella, altri-
menti alcuni modelli hanno la possibilità di
dialogare con chiavette esterne da collegare
direttamente o mediante l’ausilio di adattatori.
Per controllare le compatibilità del dispositivo,
verificare la tabella informativa qui sotto:
iPad 3 o superiore
iPhone 4S o superiore
iPod Touch 5 gen o superiore
Android 4.3 e Bluetooth 4.0
Per conoscere le caratteristiche della vostra
periferica, consultare la scheda tecnica del tuo
apparecchio presente nel sito del produttore.
Nella pagina http://configuro.elite-it.com/ è
possibile effettuare un test per conoscere la
compatibilità del device, ed eventualmente
conoscere i dispositivi necessari per poter uti-
lizzare il proprio trainer.
CARDIOFREQUENZIMETRO*
Il Digital Smart B+ non ha al suo interno un
ricevitore per cardiofrequenzimetri a fascia
toracica.
È comunque possibile utilizzare una fascia
cardio, la quale dovrà essere compatibile con
la periferica e con il programma/App utilizzati
per visualizzare i dati. Per maggiori informa-
zioni riguardo le compatibilità verificare le
caratteristiche della fascia e del smartphone/
tablet/ciclo computer.

SENSORE CADENZA*
Il rullo Digital Smart B+ utilizza un sistema
avanzato per la rilevazione della cadenza anche
senza l’uso di un sensore da applicare alla bici-
cletta. Questo è possibile grazie ad un sofistica-
to calcolo che si basa sulla velocità. Non essen-
do una misura diretta ma il risultato di un cal-
colo, in particolari situazioni il valore della
cadenza potrebbe non essere accurato.
Qualora si desiderasse una rilevazione più pre-
cisa è possibile collegare al rullo un sensore di
cadenza opzionale. Contattare Elite srl (contat-
[email protected]om) per maggiori informazioni.
* Il sensore di cadenza non è incluso nella confezione.
LETTURA VALORE DI CADENZA
DA SENSORE ESTERNO ELITE
Qualora si decida di installare il sensore di
cadenza esterno ELITE, si deve :
_ collegare il sensore ed il magnete alla bici
come da istruzioni fornite all’interno della con-
fezione del sensore;
_ Collegare il jack del sensore all’unità;
_ Pedalare per 3 giri nel senso opposto alla
marcia per far si che il sensore si attivi;
Per sensori esterni di velocità, potenza o
cadenza senza fili non ELITE, consultare le
istruzioni presenti nella APP che si desidera
utilizzare:
_ Pedalare per 3 giri nel senso opposto alla
marcia per far si che il sensore si attivi. Il led
presente nella scheda del trainer lampeggerà
3 volte ad intermittenza, ogni volta che il
magnete passa in corrispondenza del sensore.
Per sensori esterni di velocità, potenza o
cadenza non ELITE, consultare le istruzioni
presenti nella APP che si desidera utilizzare.

IMPORTANTE
• Non frenare durante l'utilizzo del trainer,
ciò danneggia irreparabilmente rullino e pneumatico.
• L’unità di resistenza si scalda sensibilmente quando in uso.
È necessario aspettare che si raffreddi prima di toccare il volano.

NOTE
• Attenzione: sistemi integrati wireless che
lavorano sulla stessa banda di frequenza,
possono interferire con la trasmissione dei
dati del Digital Smart B+. In questo caso
disattivare tali apparecchi.
• Evitare di lasciare l’unità alla luce diretta
del sole o in ambienti particolarmente umidi
per periodi prolungati quando non è utilizzata.
• Non applicare mai detergenti chimici
(benzine o diluenti) su nessuna parte
dell’Elite Digital Smart B+.
MONTAGGIO UNITÀ
Per il montaggio dell’unità (rif. A) al telaio atte-
nersi alle istruzioni presenti nel manuale del
telaio. Inserire l’alimentatore (rif. B) nella
presa elettrica e il connettore nell’unità di resi-
stenza.
UTILIZZO UNITÀ
Dopo aver assemblato l’unità al telaio è possi-
bile utilizzare il Digital Smart B+. Per potere
visualizzare i dati e modificare la resistenza è
necessario utilizzare un app/ciclocomputer/
programma compatibile*.
La fase di abbinamento (pairing) , lettura dei
valori e modifica della resistenza rispettano i
protocolli ANT+ e Bluetooth Smart; invece, le
modalità di funzionamento dipendono dall’app/
ciclocomputer.
La procedura di connessione e utilizzo varia in
funzione della periferica e del programma/App
che si intende utilizzare. Verificare nel pro-
gramma/app come procedere per connessione
e utilizzo durante l’allenamento.
* verificare la compatibilità del Vostro
smartphone/tablet/ciclocomputer nella tabel-
la 1 riportata a pagina 6.
ATTENZIONE
• Durante l’uso del Digital Smart B+ con rulli-
no Elastogel, una leggera usura dello stesso
rientra nella normalità. I test eseguiti in Elite
dimostrano che dopo un uso continuo di 20.000
Km il consumo del rullino si aggira sui 0,1 mm,
ed essendo 10 mm lo spessore totale, un con-
sumo ben superiore non impedisce il corretto
funzionamento del trainer. Contestazioni dovu-
te ad utilizzo improprio o negligente, non ver-
ranno riconosciute. Si potrebbe verificare una
leggera usura della parte in gomma che rien-
tra nella normalità.
• L’utilizzo con pneumatici stretti o con pres-
sione del pneumatico non ottimale, può dan-
neggiare irreparabilmente il rullino Elastogel.
• Non conservate il Digital Smart B+ in luoghi
bagnati o umidi. Questo potrebbe danneggiare
i componenti elettronici.
• La conformità del Digital Smart B+ alle
direttive comunitarie potrebbe venir meno se
non viene utilizzato l’alimentatore fornito in
dotazione (rif. B).
• Qualora si avvertisse uno slittamento della
ruota sul rullino Elastogel, rendere più pro-
gressivo lo sforzo del pedale, l’allenamento
con il pneumatico che slitta può danneggiare
irreparabilmente il rullino Elastogel.
TROUBLESHOOTING
• Il trainer non cambia la resistenza:
Provare ad allontanare tutte le periferiche
elettroniche (tipo Smarphone e/o router
wireless) o cambiare il canale di trasmissione¹
e quindi eseguire nuovamente l’abbinamento
con l’App/Software/ Ciclo computer.
• Il valore di cadenza non è accurato:
l’algoritmo di calcolo della cadenza senza sen-
sore in condizioni particolari potrebbe non
essere accurato. Normalmente questo è più
critico quando si fanno allenamenti ad altre
frequenze di pedalata e bassa resistenza. In
questi casi è possibile utilizzare altri sensori di
cadenza: o il sensore a filo ELITE da connette-

re al rullo o altri sensori senza fili che inviano
i dati direttamente al programma/app.
Il trainer non si connette alla app/ciclo computer:
il trainer deve essere alimentato correttamen-
te per poter funzionare, ed entro 2 minuti deve
essere fatta la connessione con un dispositivo,
altrimenti il trainer entrerà in modalità di
risparmio energetico. Per riattivare il rullo,
iniziare a pedalare oppure disalimentare e
rialimentare il rullo stesso, effettuare poi la
connessione entro i 2 minuti.
Il led sulla scheda non lampeggia:
controllare l’alimentatore con un tester,
potrebbe essere mal funzionante.
¹ Il sistema di trasmissione ANT+ e Bluetooth
Smart sono compatibili con lo standard Wi-Fi,
perciò normalmente non è necessario spegne-
re il router e lo Smartphone. Ci possono esser
alcuni casi in cui il segnale Wi-Fi disturba la
trasmissione dei dati, in questi casi è impor-
tante che la rete Wi-fi utilizzi un canale minore
o uguale a 6 oppure 14. I canali dal 7 al 13
potrebbero creare delle interferenze al siste-
ma di trasmissione wireless ANT o Bluetooth
del rullo.

Questo prodotto è conforme alle Direttive EU 2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE and
2003/108/CE.
Il simbolo del cassonetto barrato riportato sull’apparecchiatura o sulla sua confezione indica che il pro-
dotto alla fine della propria vita utile deve essere raccolto separatamente dagli altri rifiuti.
L’utente dovrà, pertanto conferire l’apparecchiatura giunta a fine vita agli idonei centri di raccolta diffe-
renziata dei rifiuti elettronici, oppure riconsegnarla al rivenditore al momento dell’acquisto di una nuova
apparechiatura di tipo equivalente, in ragione di una a uno.
L’adeguata raccolta differenziata per l’avvio successivo dell’apparecchiatura dimessa al riciclaggio, al
trattamento e allo smaltimento ambientalmente compatibile contribuisce ad evitare possibili effetti ne-
gativi sull’ambiente e sulla salute e favorisce il reimpiego e/o riciclo dei materiali di cui è composta
l’apparecchiatura.
Lo smaltimento abusivo del prodotto da parte dell’utente comporta l’applicazione delle sanzioni ammini-
strative previste dalla normativa vigente.

GETTING STARTED
Digital Smart B+ is an electronic unit designed
for indoor cycling training & testing that con-
nects to a PC (Windows) or a mobile app for
devices such as smartphones or tablets.
The integrated "ANT+" and "Bluetooth Smart"
protocols interact wirelessly with PCs and
mobile devices, with no additional components
necessary for Digital Smart B+ compatibility
with most devices.
Digital Smart B+ is compatible with ELITE’s
"My E-Training" app; the app’s many features
work with iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) and
Android devices.
Digital SmartB+ supports ANT+ FE-C, an inte-
ractive protocol developed for hometrainers to
read speed and cadence data and to adjust
resistance. Other protocols allow only one-way
data transfer and no interaction with the
hometrainer.
Moreover, the ANT+ FE-C protocol is “open” -
it allows the hometrainer to run all the softwa-
re that supports it, so you can freely choose the
software to use with the Digital Smart B+.

Note: Not all computers/devices have integra-
ted ANT+ connectivity and some may require
an additional component.
Many newer phones and tablets already featu-

READING CADENCE DATA FROM
AN EXTERNAL NON-ELITE SENSOR
Should you decide to install an ELITE external
cadence sensor, you must:
- Follow the instructions found in the sensor
package to connect sensor and magnet to the
bicycle;
-Connect the sensor's jack plug to the unit;
-Pedal 3 (three) times counter-clockwise to
activate the sensor.
Check the instructions for the app you wish to
use for non-ELITE wireless external speed,
power or cadence sensors:
_ Pedal counterclockwise three times to acti-
vate the sensor. The LED light in the hometrai-
ner motherboard will blink 3 times, that is
each time the sensor is in close proximity of
the magnet.

ASSEMBLING THE UNIT
To fit the unit (ref. A) on the frame, follow the
instructions given in the Frame manual.
Plug the resistance unit (ref. B) into a wall
outlet and into the resistance unit, using the
supplied power cord.
USING THE UNIT
Digital Smart B+ is ready for use after mounting
the unit to the frame. You will need a compati-
ble* app, computer and software to display
data and adjust resistance.
The pairing, data collection and resistance-
adjustment phases use the ANT+ and Bluetooth
Smart protocols, while the various modes will
depend on the app/cycle computer.
The connection procedure and the use of the
device depends on the device itself and the
software/app you wish to use. Check the
software/app for instructions on how to
connect and for use during training.

ATTENTION
• During use of Digital Smart B+ with Elastogel
roller, slight wear of the roller is quite normal.
Tests carried out at Elite show that after conti-
nuous use for 20,000 km, roller wear is around
0.1 mm, and since the total thickness is 10
mm, correct operation of the trainer will not be
affected even with far greater wear. Claims
that are due to improper or careless use, will
not be acknowledged. Slight wear of the part in
rubber is quite normal.
• Using Digital Smart B+ with narrow tyres or
with unsuitable tyre pressures can permanen-
tly damage the Elastogel roller.
• Do not store Digital Smart B+ in wet or damp
places. The electronic components could
become damaged.
• Digital Smart B+ may not comply with the EC
directives if the power adapter supplied (ref. B)
is not used.
• If slipping of the wheel on the Elastogel roller
is noticed, apply a more gradual force on the
pedal. Training with the tyre slipping can per-
manently damage the Elastogel roller.
TROUBLESHOOTING
• The trainer doesn't change the resistance:
if you’re having trouble connecting, try
removing all electronic devices (such as
Smartphones and/or wireless routers) or
changing the transmission channel ¹ and
repeat the pairing process with the app/
software/cycle computer again.
The cadence value is not accurate:
the algorithm that calculates cadence without
a sensor can sometimes vary in accuracy. This
might happen when training with a high peda-

INFORMATION ON PRODUCT DISPOSAL

If the hometrainer does not connect to the
app / cycle computer:
The hometrainer needs to be properly powered
up to work and it needs to connect to a device
within 2 minutes, otherwise it will automatical-
ly enter its energy saving phase. Start pedaling
or unplug it and plug it in again to reactivate it,
and then connect to a device within 2 minutes.
If the LED light on the motherboard does not

Use a tester to check if the power charger is
malfunctioning.

The ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart transmission
systems are compatible with the Wi-Fi stan-
dard, so there is usually no need to turn off
your Smartphone and router. The Wi-Fi signal
might occasionally interfere with data
transmission, in which case it's important to
make sure that the Wi-Fi network uses a chan-
nel that is either14 or less than 6. Channels 7
through 13 might interfere with the hometrai-

GEBRAUCH DER EINHEIT
Nachdem die Einheit am Fahrradrahmen befe-
stigt worden ist, kann Digital Smart B+ benutzt
werden. Damit die Daten angezeigt werden
und um den Widerstand zu verändern, muss
eine App/ein Fahrradcomputer oder ein kom-
patibles Programm benutzt werden.*
Die Kopplung (Pairing), das Ablesen der Werte
und die Veränderung des Widerstandes erfolgt
mittels der Protokolle ANT+ und Bluetooth
Smart; die Funktionsmodalitäten dagegen
hängen von der App/dem Fahrradcomputer ab.
Die Vorgehensweise für die Verbindung und
der Gebrauch variiert je nach Peripheriegeräten
und je nach App/Programm, das benutzt wer-
den soll. Im Programm/in der App muss über-
prüft werden, wie für die Verbindung vorge-
gangen werden muss und wie sie beim Training
benutzt werden muss.

Fahrradcomputers/Tablets in der Tabelle auf
Seite 14 überprüfen.
ACHTUNG
• Während des Gebrauchs des Digital Smart
B+ mit der Elastogel-Rolle ist deren leichter
Verschleiß als normal anzusehen. Die im Werk
Elite ausgeführten Tests beweisen, dass der
Verschleiß der Rolle nach einem ständigen
Gebrauch über 20.000 km bei ca. 0,1 mm liegt;
nachdem die Gesamtdicke 10 mm beträgt,
bewirkt auch ein wesentlich höherer Verschleiß
keine Behinderung der korrekten Funktion des
Rollentrainers. Auf unsachgemäßen oder
nachlässigen Gebrauch zurückzuführende
Beanstandungen werden nicht anerkannt. Es
könnte ein leichter Verschleiß des aus Gummi
bestehenden Teils auftreten, der als normal zu
betrachten ist.
• Der Gebrauch mit schmalen Reifen oder mit
nicht optimalem Reifendruck kann die
Elastogel-Rolle auf irreparable Weise
beschädigen.
• Den Digital Smart B+ nicht an nassen oder
feuchten Orten aufbewahren. Dies könnte die
elektronischen Komponenten beschädigen.
• Die Konformität des Digital Smart B+ mit den
EG-Richtlinien könnte nicht mehr gegeben
sein, wenn das in der Lieferung enthaltene
Vorschaltgerät (Bez. B) nicht benutzt wird.
• Sollte ein Abrutschen des Rads auf der
Elastogel-Rolle auftreten, muss die
Kraftausübung auf die Pedale auf progressive-
re Weise erfolgen. Das Training mit einem
abrutschenden Reifen kann die Elastogel-
Rolle auf irreparable Weise beschädigen.
TROUBLESHOOTING
• Der Heimtrainer wechselt nicht den
Widerstand:
Versuchen Sie, alle elektronischen
Peripheriegeräte zu entfernen (z.B.
Smartphone und/oder WLAN-Router) oder
den Übertragungskanal zu ändern und dann
wieder neu mit der App/der Software/dem
Fahrradcomputer zu koppeln.

HINWEISE ZUR ENTSORGUNG DES PRODUKTS

dies am kritischsten, wenn mit niedrigen
Trittfrequenzen oder mit niedrigem Widerstand

dem Rollentrainer verbunden wird oder ande-

Keine Verbindung vom Trainer zur APP/Fahrrad-
Computer:
Zunächst ist es erforderlich, den Trainer kor-
rekt anzuschließen, damit dieser auch funktio-
nieren kann, die Verbindung zum Gerät muss
innerhalb 2 Minuten hergestellt werden,
ansonsten der Trainer auf Energiesparmodus
umstellt. Um den Trainer wieder in Betrieb zu
setzen, treten Sie in die Pedale oder schalten
Sie die Stromzufuhr aus und wieder ein, dann
die Verbindung innerhalb 2 Minuten wie-
derherstellen.
Die LED blinkt nicht:
Überprüfen Sie die Stromzufuhr mit einem
Tester, es könnte eine Fehlfunktion vorliegen.

Die Übertragungssysteme ANT+ und
Bluetooth Smart sind mit dem WLAN Standard
kompatibel, daher ist es in der Regel nicht
notwendig den Router oder das Smartphone
auszuschalten. Es kann aber Fälle geben, in
denen das WLAN-Signal die Übertragung der
Daten stört. In diesen Fällen ist es wichtig,
dass das WLAN-Netz einen niedrigeren Kanal

INTRODUCTION
Digital Smart B+ est un dispositif électronique

Grâce aux connectivités “ANT+” et “Bluetooth
Smart“ intégrées, Digital Smart B+ se con-
necte à l’ordinateur ou au dispositif mobile
sans fil. La double connectivité rend Digital
Smart B+ compatible avec la plupart des
périphériques même sans l’ajout d’autres
éléments.
Digital Smart B+ est compatible avec l’appli
d’Elite “my E-Training”. C’est une appli qui
fonctionne sur des dispositifs iOS (iPhone,
iPad, iPod Touch) et Android et qui a de nom-
breuses fonctionnalités.
Digital Smart B+ admet le protocole ANT+
FE-C. Ce protocole a été conçu pour l’utilisa-
tion avec les home-trainers. Il acquière non
seulement les données de l’entrainement
comme la vitesse et la cadence, mais il permet
aussi de changer la résistance du home-trai-
ner, contrairement aux autres protocoles ANT+

En plus le protocole ANT+ FE-C est un protoco-
le ouvert qui permet au home-trainer de fon-

peut choisir librement le programme avec
lequel faire marcher Digital Smart B+ en cher-
chant celui qui répond le mieux à ses propres
besoins.

Note: tous les ordinateurs/périphériques n’ont
pas la connectivité ANT+ intégrée. C’est pour
cette raison qu’il pourrait y avoir besoin d’un
élément en ajout.
Pour les dispositifs qui sont équipés de la con-
nectivité Bluetooth Smart Ready, comme c’est
le cas pour beaucoup de téléphones et de
tablettes de dernière génération, il est possi-
ble de se connecter aux capteurs Bluetooth
smart, et ce, sans avoir à utiliser de compo-
sants supplémentaires. Dans ce cas, le dispo-
sitif se connectera au rouleau ou au capteur en

cardio qui devra être compatible avec le
périphérique et avec le programme/appli uti-
lisés pour visualiser les données. Pour plus

CAPTEUR DE CADENCE *
Le home-trainer Digital Smart B+ utilise un
système avancé pour la détection de la cadence
même sans l’utilisation d’un capteur à appli-
quer au vélo. Ceci est possible grâce à un cal-
cul sophistiqué qui se base sur la vitesse.
N’étant pas une mesure directe mais le résul-
tat d’un calcul, dans des situations particu-
lières la valeur de la cadence pourrait ne pas
être précise. Dans le cas où vous souhaiteriez
une détection plus précise vous pouvez relier le
rouleau à un capteur de cadence optionnel.

LECTURE DE LA VALEUR DE CADENCE
D’UN CAPTEUR EXTERIEUR ELITE
Dans le cas où l’on déciderait d’installer le
capteur extérieur ELITE, il faudra :
_ Brancher le capteur et l’aimant au vélo con-
formément aux instructions fournies à
l’intérieur de l’emballage du capteur ;
_ Brancher la prise jack du capteur à l’unité ;
_ Pédaler pendant 3 tours dans le sens inver-
se de la marche de sorte à ce que le capteur
s’active.
Pour les capteurs extérieurs de vitesse, puis-
sance ou cadence sans fil qui ne sont pas
ELITE, consultez le mode d’emploi présent
dans l’Appli que vous souhaitez utiliser:
_Pédaler pendant 3 tours dans le sens inverse
de la marche de sorte à ce que le capteur s'ac-
tive. La LED présente dans la fiche de l'en-
traîneur clignotera 3 fois par intermittence,
chaque fois que l'aimant passera devant le
capteur.
Pour les capteurs extérieurs de vitesse, puis-
sance ou cadence qui ne sont pas ELITE, con-
sultez le mode d'emploi présent dans l'Appli
que vous souhaitez utiliser.

IMPORTANT
• Ne pas freiner pendant l’utilisation du trainer,
ceci endommage irrémédiablement le galet et le pneu.
• L’unité de résistance se réchauffe sensiblement quand on l’utilise.
Il faut attendre qu’elle refroidisse avant de toucher le volant.

NOTES
• Attention: les systèmes intégrés sans fil qui
travaillent sur la même bande de fréquence,
peuvent interférer avec la transmission des
données de Digital Smart B+. Dans ce cas
désactivez ces appareils.
• Evitez de laisser l’unité à la lumière directe
du soleil ou dans des milieux particulièrement
humides pendant des périodes prolongées de
non utilisation.
• N’appliquez jamais de détergents chimiques
(essences ou diluants) sur aucune partie
d’Elite Digital Smart B+.
ASSEMBLAGE UNITÉ
Pour le montage de l’unité (réf. A) au cadre et
respectez les instructions présente dans le
manuel du Cadre.
Brancher l’alimentation (réf. B) à la prise élec-
trique et le connecteur à l’unité de résistance.
UTILISATION DE L’UNITÉ
Après avoir assemblé l’unité au support on
peut utiliser Digital Smart B+. Pour visualiser
les données et modifier la résistance il faut
utiliser une appli/cyclo ordinateur/programme
compatible*.
Les phases d’appairage (pairing), lecture des
valeurs et modification de la résistance
respectent les protocoles ANT+ et Bluetooth
Smart ; par contre, les modalités de fonction-
nement dépendent de l’appli/cyclo ordinateur.
Le procédé de connexion et d’utilisation varie
en fonction du périphérique et du programme/
Appli que l’on entend utiliser. Vérifiez dans le
programme/appli comment procéder à la con-
nexion et à l’utilisation pendant l’entraine-
ment.
* vérifiez la compatibilité de votre Smartphone/
tablette/cyclo ordinateur dans le tableau 1 de
la page 18.
ATTENTION
• Pendant l’utilisation de Digital Smart B+ avec
galet Elastogel, une légère usure de ce dernier
est normale. Les tests effectués chez Elite
démontrent qu’après une utilisation continue
de 20.000 Km l’usure du galet se situe autour
de 0,1 mm, et l’épaisseur totale étant de 10
mm, une usure bien supérieure n’empêche
pas le bon fonctionnement du trainer. Des con-
testations dues à l’utilisation impropre ou
négligente, ne seront pas reconnues. Une
légère usure de la partie en caoutchouc
pourrait se vérifier et elle est normale.
• L’utilisation avec des pneus étroits ou avec
une pression du pneu non-optimale peut
endommager irrémédiablement le galet
Elastogel.
• Ne pas garder Digital Smart B+ à des
endroits mouillés ou humides. Ceci pourrait
endommager les éléments électroniques.
• La conformité de Digital Smart B+ aux direc-
tives communautaires pourrait perdre sa vali-
dité si l’on n’utilise pas l’alimentateur fourni
(réf. B).
• Dans le cas où vous sentiriez un glissement
de la roue sur le rouleau Elastogel, rendez
l’effort sur la pédale plus progressif.
L’entrainement avec un pneu qui glisse peut
endommager irréparablement le rouleau
Elastogel.
TROUBLESHOOTING
• Le trainer ne change pas la résistance:
Essayez d’éloigner tous les périphériques
électroniques (de type Smartphone et/ou
routeur Wireless) ou changez le canal de
transmission ¹ et ensuite effectuez à nouveau
l’assortiment avec l’Appli/Logiciel/ Cyclo
ordinateur.
• La cadence n'est pas précise:
L’algorithme de calcul de la cadence sans cap-
teur dans des conditions particulières pourrait
ne pas être précis. Normalement il est plus
