Il rullo costituisce uno strumento di allenamento
che consente di raggiungere la migliore forma
per il ciclismo.
L’unità di resistenza magnetica integrata modu-
labile su ben tre livelli, permette di ottenere una
resistenza morbida, omogenea e progressiva,
che congiuntamente al sistema di oscillazione
longitudinale messo a punto da Elite, garantisce
una stabilità e una facilità d’uso incomparabile e
adattabile a qualsiasi esigenza o prestazione si
desideri ottenere.
I rulli, in materiale tecnopolimero, sono sago-
mati allo scopo di garantire migliore controllo
dell’andatura.
I cuscinetti cilindrici di alta qualità garantiscono
molti anni di uso senza alcun inconveniente o
rumorosità dovuta ad
usura dei materiali. Il rullo E-MOTION si eviden-
zia inoltre per il design innovativo e moderno
che conferisce allo stesso un motivo di stile e
unicità.

MONTAGGIO
Il Vostro prodotto E-MOTION non necessita di
alcun intervento di montaggio poiché tale opera-
zione è interamente realizzata presso i nostri
reparti produttivi che ne verificano la perfetta
funzionalità su ogni esemplare prodotto.
UTILIZZO
Prima di iniziare ad utilizzare E-MOTION sarà
necessario effettuare una regolazione dell’inte-
rasse rulli per renderli compatibili con la misura
del telaio della Vostra bicicletta.
La regolazione dovrà essere effettuata nella
seguente modalità:
1) Misurare la lunghezza tra il centro delle ruote
della bicicletta che si andrà ad utilizzare su
E-MOTION (Fig.1). Per comodità chiameremo tale
dimensione “X”.
2) La distanza dal punto intermedio tra i due
rulli posteriori fino al centro del rullo anterio-
re E-MOTION, che per comodità chiameremo
“Y” (Fig.2), dovrà corrispondere o avvicinarsi
il più possibile alla misura “X”. L’asse del
rullo anteriore E-MOTION deve essere posi-
zionato nel foro del telaio E-MOTION, la cui
misura, riportata sulla scala graduata, si avvi-
cina maggiormente alla dimensione “X”
(Fig.3).
ATTENZIONE: La dimensione “Y” deve essere
pari o leggermente superiore a “X”. I rulli
possono essere regolati per adattarli a bici-
clette con distanza tra le ruote da 0944-1124
mm (37 a 44 pollici).

3) Per posizionare il rullo anteriore nella corretta
posizione, sfilare i 4 elastici inferiori (Fig.4).
4) Allentare la cinghia di trasmissione facendola
fuoriuscire dalle relative guide anteriore e poste-
riore (Fig.5 e 6)
5) Svitare leggermente, ma non completamente
(max. 3-4 giri completi) le viti fissaggio supporto
anteriore (Fig.7 e 8), utilizzando la chiave esago-
nale in dotazione.
6) Ripetere la stessa operazione su lato opposto
(Fig.9 e 10)
7) Una volta sbloccato il meccanismo, traslare il
rullo in avanti o indietro a seconda delle vostre
esigenze. Tale operazione dovrà essere eseguita
cercando di sollevare leggermente il rullo di quan-
to serve al fine di oltrepassare ogni singola sede
(Fig.11).

8) Una volta sistemato il rullo, nella posizione
desiderata, cercare di tenerlo in sede tramite leg-
gera pressione, da esercitare sul rullo, verso il
basso e contemporaneamente bloccare le viti fis-
saggio supporto anteriore” (Fig. 12 e 13).
9) Ripetere l’operazione sul lato opposto.
10) Una volta effettuata la corretta regolazione
dell’interasse rulli, reinserire la cinghia di tra-
smissione nelle relative guide anteriore e poste-
riore e riposizionare i 4 elastici inferiori nella sedi
preposte.
SUGGERIMENTO PER UTILIZZARE
IL VOSTRO E-MOTION
1) I rulli funzionano meglio con pneumatico avente
battistrada liscio. Se usate una mountain bike, per
ridurre la rumorosità e aumentare la stabilità,
cambiare il pneumatico in dotazione con pneuma-
tico liscio.
2) Se siete principianti, posizionate i rulli in vano
d’ingresso o vicino ad un oggetto stabile, in modo
da avere un sostegno per poter sviluppare il
necessario equilibrio.
3) Assicuratevi che E-MOTION posi su una super-
ficie piana.
4) E-MOTION ha 3 gradi di resistenza: “0” resi-
stenza minima, “1” resistenza media, “2” resisten-
za massima” (Fig.14). Selezionare la resistenza
desiderata facendo scorrere il cursore in corri-
spondenza del valore di resistenza desiderato.
Quando raggiungete maggiore abilità sui rulli,
potete usare anche i vari rapporti del cambio della
bicicletta per variare il livello di resistenza.
5) Iniziate con la regolazione dell’unità di resisten-
za impostata alla resistenza minima “0” (Fig. 15).
6) Iniziate a pedalare e guardate avanti, come se
foste in strada. Anche se istintivamente tendere-
ste a guardare la ruota anteriore, riuscirete meglio
a mantenere l'equilibrio e a pedalare “in linea
retta” se vi concentrate su un oggetto posto
davanti a voi a 2.5 – 4 mt (10-15 piedi).
7) Se iniziate a inclinarvi o a spostarvi sul lato dei
tamburi, correggete la vostra posizione con movimen-
ti di sterzo molto leggeri. Se sterzate troppo perderete
il vostro equilibrio o finirete oltre il lato dei rulli.

8) Mantenere una cadenza di pedalata elevata e uni-
forme vi aiuterà a rimanere in equilibrio sui rulli,
grazie all'effetto giroscopico della velocità delle ruote.
9) Inizialmente pedalare sui rulli vi darà la sensazione
d’instabilità , muovere il manubrio troppo brusca-
mente o pedalare con un ritmo pesante può farvi
perdere il controllo. Questo è il grande vantaggio dei
rulli rispetto agli strumenti da allenamento standard.
I rulli insegneranno a ridurre il movimento della parte
superiore del corpo e a mantenere un ritmo di peda-
lata uniforme.
10) Una volta presa confidenza con E-MOTION, potre-
te variare il livello di resistenza traslando il cursore di
resistenza nelle posizioni “1” (Fig. 16) o “2”.(Fig. 17).
11) Per fermarsi non usate i freni della bicicletta.
Appoggiare il piede sul telaio E-MOTION e lasciate
che la bici arrivi a fermarsi.
12) È possibile tarare la durezza del sistema oscillan-
te di cui E-MOTION è dotato, spostando semplice-
mente l’interasse del perno di fissaggio elastico in
modo da mettere in trazione lo stesso con minore
(Fig. 18) o maggiore intensità (Fig.19).
CURA E MANUTENZIONE
1) L'esposizione prolungata alla luce diretta del
sole può provocare la deformazione dei rulli in
tecnopolimero. Non utilizzate o tenere i rulli alla
luce diretta del sole.
2) Pulire sempre i rulli dopo l'uso. Usare solo un
panno umido. Non usate solventi o detergenti
aggressivi.
3) Nel caso di inutilizzo prolungato di E-MOTION,
sganciare la cinghia di trasmissione facendola
fuoriuscire dalla relativa sede oppure posizionare
il rullo anteriore nella posizione di minima distan-
za in modo da non lasciarla sempre in tensione.
Il tensionamento può provocare una prematura
perdita dell’efficienza di trasmissione.
4) I cuscinetti accoppiati sul rullo sono auto-
lubrificati e non necessitano di manutenzione.
5) Controllare periodicamente che le viti di bloc-
caggio rulli siano ben serrate, avendo cura di non
deformare le plastiche.
6) Nel caso di usura o rottura della cinghia di tra-
smissione, sostituire la stessa come segue:
A) svitare le viti fissaggio supporto ruota
(Fig. 20 e 21).

B) Svitare le 2 viti di fissaggio copertura in plastica
anteriore e togliere la relativa copertura (Fig. 22).
C) Svitare le 4 viti di fissaggio copertura in plastica
posteriore e togliere la relativa copertura (Fig. 23).
D) Ripetere la stessa procedura di cui ai punti A-B
e C sulla parte opposta del rullo E-MOTION.
E) Sollevare il rullo anteriore e il rullo centrale. Sostituire
la cinghia (Fig. 24), rialloggiare i cilindri nelle corrette
sedi (Fig.25) e fissare nuovamente le coperture.
7) Cinghie di trasmissione e altri pezzi di ricambio
sono disponibili per E-MOTION da Elite indicando
il relativo codice (Fig. 26).

The roller is a training tool enabling users to get
into top shape for cycling.
Its incorporated magnetic resistance unit featu-
ring three levels offers smoother and more even
and gradual resistance which, together with the
longitudinal oscillation system, ensures stability
and incomparable ease of use suitable for any
cycling training need.
The rollers, of technopolymer material, are spe-
cially shaped to guarantee better control of
pace.

ASSEMBLY
Your E-MOTION roller does not require any
assembly, since this is done entirely at our
production facility. Each unit is also tested
before being shipped.
USE
Before starting to use your E-MOTION it is
necessary to adjust the centre distance of the
rollers to make them compatible with the size
of your bicycle frame.
Adjustment must be carried out as follows:
1) Measure the length between the centre of
the wheels of the bicycle you are going to use
on the E-MOTION (Fig.1). For the sake of con-
venience this will be called dimension “X”.
2) The distance from the middle point between
the two rear rollers to the centre of the
E-MOTION’s front roller, which for the sake of
convenience will be called dimension “Y”
(Fig.2), must be the same as or as close as
possible to dimension “X” . The axle of the
E-MOTION’s front roller must be positioned in
the hole in the E-MOTION’s frame, whose mea-
surement given on the graduated scale is clo-
sest to dimension “X” (Fig.3). ATTENTION:
Dimension “Y” must be equal to or slightly gre-
ater than “X”. The rollers can be adjusted to
adapt them to bicycles having a distance of
0944-1124 mm (37 to 44 inches).

3) To position the front roller in the correct posi-
tion, remove the 4 lower elastics (Fig.4).
4) Slacken the drive belt by making it come off the
respective front and rear guides (Fig.5 and 6)
5) Undo, but not completely (max. 3-4 complete
turns,) the front support fixing screws (Fig.7 and
8), using the hex key supplied.
6) Repeat the same operation on the opposite side
(Fig.9 and 10)
7) After releasing the mechanism, move the
roller back or forward as required. This opera-
tion must be carried out by lifting the roller just
enough in order to pass each single seat
(Fig.11).

8) After arranging the roller in the required
position, try and keep it there by pressing down
lightly on the roller and at the same time
tighten the front support fixing screws (Fig. 12
and 13).
9) Repeat the operation on the opposite side.
10) After obtaining correct adjustment of the roller
centre distance, refit the drive belt in the respecti-
ve front and rear guides and refit the 4 lower ela-
stics in the special seats.
ADVICE ON USING YOUR EMOTION
1) The rollers work best with smooth tread
(slick) tyres. If using a mountain bike, change
the fitted tyre with a smooth tyre in order to
reduce the noise and increase stability.
2) For beginners, position the roller in area
doorway or near a stable object, in order to
have a support while developing the necessary
balance.
3) Make sure the E-MOTION is resting on a flat
surface.
4) The E-MOTION has 3 resistance levels: “0”
minimum resistance, “1” medium resistance,
“2” maximum resistance (Fig.14). Select the
required resistance level by shifting the slide to
the required resistance value. On acquiring
greater skill on the rollers, you can also use
the bicycle’s gears to vary the resistance level.
5) Begin with the resistance unit set to the mini-
mum resistance level “0” (Fig. 15).
6) Start pedalling and look ahead, like riding on the
road. Even if you would instinctively tend to look at the
front wheel, you will keep better balance and pedal “in
a straight line” if you concentrate on an object located
2.5 – 4 m. (10-15 feet) in front of you.
7) If you start leaning or shifting to one side of the
rollers, correct your position with light steering move-
ments. If you steer too much, you will lose balance or
end up over the side of the rollers.
8) Maintaining a high and even pedalling rate will help
you keep balance on the rollers, thanks to the gyro-

scopic effect of the speed of the wheels.
9) At first, pedalling on the rollers will give you the
feeling of instability, and moving the handlebar too
abruptly or pedalling at too strong a pace may
make you lose control. This is the big advantage of
the rollers compared to the standard training
tools: the rollers will teach you reduce movement
of the upper part of your body and keep a smooth
pedalling motion.
10) After gaining confidence with the E-MOTION,
you can vary the resistance level by moving the
resistance slider to positions “1” (Fig. 16) or “2”.
(Fig. 17).
11) Do not use the bicycle brakes to stop. Place a
foot on the E-MOTION frame and allow the bicycle
to come to a halt.
12) The hardness of the E-MOTION’s oscillating
system can be set by simply shifting the centre
distance of the elastic fixing pin in order to put the
same under traction with less (Fig. 18) or more
strain (Fig.19).
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1) Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can
cause deformation of the technopolymer rollers.
Do not use or keep the rollers in direct sunlight.
2) Always clean the rollers after use. Only use a
damp cloth. Do not use solvents or harsh deter-
gents.
3) If the E-MOTION is not going to be used for
some time, release the drive belt by making it
come out of its seat or put the front roller in the
minimum distance position so as not to leave the
belt always under tension. Such tension can
cause early loss of drive efficiency.
4) The bearings on the roller do not need servi-
cing.
5) Periodically check the tightening of the roller
clamping screws, making sure not to deform the
plastic.
6) In case of drive belt wear or breakage, replace
the belt as follows:
A) undo the wheel support fixing screws (Fig. 20
and 21).

B) Undo the 2 front plastic covering fixing screws and
remove the covering (Fig. 22).
C) Undo the 4 rear plastic covering fixing screws
and remove the covering (Fig. 23).
D) Repeat the same procedure described in points A-B
and C, on the opposite part of the E-MOTION roller.
E) Lift the front roller and middle roller. Replace
the belt (Fig. 24), refit the cylinders in their correct
seats (Fig.25) and fix the coverings.
7) Drive belts and other replacement parts are
available for the E-MOTION from Elite by speci-
fying the respective codes (Fig. 26).
