These talking wall communicators give users the ability to initiate
communication throughout their day. Record your message (20 seconds and
allow them to actively participate with their peers, family, and teachers. Put
them in different areas of your classroom or house to express simple
messages. For example: “I’m hungry, I want a cookie”; “I have to use the
bathroom”. Some classrooms place them on lapboards or tabletops. Wall
mounting hardware is included. Size 6½"W x 8"L. Requires 4 AA Batteries.

1. Put-em-arounds requires 4 AA batteries to operate.
Carefully remove the blue Velcro backed battery cover to reveal the black
battery compartment. Observing polarity, install four AA size batteries into
the holder Use alkaline batteries only (e.g. Duracell or Energizer brand .
Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of batteries because
they supply lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. Never mix
old and new batteries together or different brands or types together.
Replace the battery compartment cover.
2. Turn the unit on by turning the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob (black knob
located on the back panel of the unit clockwise. You will hear an audible
click when the unit turns on.
3. To record, simply press and hold the “RECORD” button on the back panel
of the unit, while simultaneously holding down the plate switch. While
continuing to hold the record button and the plate switch, speak your
message. Your mouth should be about 6 inches from the microphone
when recording (the Mic is the “fuzzy” black circle on the back of the unit .
Release both the record button and the plate switch when you finish
recording.
4. Remove the clear cover and place a picture card or photograph tect, on
top of the switch plate. Replace clear cover.
5. To play back your message, simply activate the plate switch. It is not
necessary to continue holding the plate switch when listening to the
message. The unit will continue to playback the entire message, even if
pressure on the plate is released.
6. The unit will retain recorded information indefinitely, even if the batteries
are disconnected. Previously stored information will be erased only when
a new recording is performed.
7. Playback volume can be adjusted using the “ON/OFF/VOLUME” control
knob located on the back panel of the unit.
8. Put-em-arounds are pre-drilled for wall mounting. Mounting hardware has
been included.

The memory of this unit is capable of holding up to a total of 20 seconds of
speech information. If you go over this time, the message will record over
itself.

Action #1: Disconnect the power by removing one of the batteries for 20
seconds in order to reset the unit. Re-install the batteries. If the unit does not
work correctly, replace all the batteries paying careful attention to proper
polarity.

up to an audible volume.

plate switch SIMULTANEOUSLY while you are recording.

messages.

installed incorrectly and/or one is weak/dead.

The Put-em-arounds can be wiped clean with any household multi-purpose,
non-abrasive cleaner and disinfectant. We recommend Simple Green, which is
a non toxic biodegradable all-purpose cleaner.
