2 Grundlegende Sicherheitshinweise
2.1 Anforderungen an das Personal
• Montage, Inbetriebnahme, Bedienung und Wartung der Messeinrichtung dürfen nur durch
dafür ausgebildetes Fachpersonal erfolgen.
• Das Fachpersonal muss vom Anlagenbetreiber für die genannten Tätigkeiten autorisiert
sein.
• Der elektrische Anschluss darf nur durch eine Elektrofachkraft erfolgen.
• Das Fachpersonal muss diese Betriebsanleitung gelesen und verstanden haben und die
Anweisungen dieser Betriebsanleitung befolgen.
• Störungen an der Messstelle dürfen nur von autorisiertem und dafür ausgebildetem
Personal behoben werden.
Reparaturen, die nicht in der mitgelieferten Betriebsanleitung beschrieben sind, dürfen
nur direkt beim Hersteller oder durch die Serviceorganisation durchgeführt werden.
2.2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Memocheck CYP02D ist ein Servicetool für eine schnelle Überprüfung von Messsystemen mit
Memosens Technologie vor Ort.
Eine andere als die beschriebene Verwendung stellt die Sicherheit von Personen und der
gesamten Messeinrichtung in Frage und ist daher nicht zulässig.
Der Hersteller haftet nicht für Schäden, die aus unsachgemäßer oder nicht
bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung entstehen.
2.3 Nicht-bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Memocheck CYP02D ist nicht für den Einsatz direkt im Prozess geeignet.
2.4 Arbeitssicherheit
Als Anwender sind Sie für die Einhaltung folgender Sicherheitsbestimmungen verantwortlich:
• Installationsvorschriften
• Lokale Normen und Vorschriften
• Vorschriften zum Explosionsschutz
2.5 Betriebssicherheit
Vor der Inbetriebnahme der Gesamtmessstelle:
1. Alle Anschlüsse auf ihre Richtigkeit prüfen.
2. Sicherstellen, dass elektrische Kabel und Schlauchverbindungen nicht beschädigt sind.
3. Beschädigte Produkte nicht in Betrieb nehmen und vor versehentlicher Inbetriebnahme
schützen.
4. Beschädigte Produkte als defekt kennzeichnen.

2.6 Produktsicherheit
2.6.1 Stand der Technik
Das Produkt ist nach dem Stand der Technik betriebssicher gebaut, geprüft und hat das Werk
in sicherheitstechnisch einwandfreiem Zustand verlassen. Die einschlägigen Vorschriften und
europäischen Normen sind berücksichtigt.
2.6.2 Elektrische Betriebsmittel in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen
Die nach ATEX bescheinigten Sensorsimulatoren Memocheck CYP02D-***G dürfen in
Verbindung mit den Messkabeln CYK10-E/G**1/2 oder CYK20-BA**** nur an die
bescheinigten eigensicheren digitalen Sensorausgangsstromkreise folgender Feldmessgeräte
angeschlossen werden:
Liquiline M, Typ CM42-ME******** oder CM42-MF******** gemäß EU-
Baumusterprüfbescheinigung BVS 04 ATEX E 121 X.
Memosens ist zugelassen für Messanwendungen in explosiver Atmosphäre entsprechend:
• IECEx Bauart-Zulassung, IECEx BVS 12.0007
• ATEX Bauart-Zulassung BVS 12 ATEX E 008 mit Ergänzungen
Die EU-Konformitätserklärung ist Bestandteil dieser Betriebsanleitung.
Die nach FM / CSA bescheinigten Sensorsimulatoren Memocheck CYP02D-***G dürfen in
Verbindung mit dem Messkabel CYK10-G**1 nur an die bescheinigten eigensicheren
digitalen Sensorausgangsstromkreise folgender Feldmessgeräte angeschlossen werden:
Liquiline M, Typ CM42-MP******** oder CM42-MS******** gemäß der Control Drawings
des Messumformers.

‣Der elektrische Anschluss des Messkabels CYK10 oder CYK20 muss gemäß Anschlussplan
des Messumformers erfolgen.
‣Die Sensorsimulatoren dürfen nicht unter elektrostatisch kritischen Prozessbedingungen
betrieben werden. Unmittelbar auf das Verbindungssystem einwirkende starke Dampf-
oder Staubströme müssen vermieden werden.
‣Die maximal zulässige Kabellänge beträgt 100 m (330 ft).
Ex-Ausführungen digitaler Sensoren und Simulatoren mit Memosens-Technologie sind
durch einen orange-roten Ring am Steckkopf gekennzeichnet.

Bei Einhaltung der angegebenen Umgebungstemperaturen treten am Simulator keine für die
jeweilige Temperaturklasse unzulässigen Temperaturen auf.
3 Produktbeschreibung
Memocheck CYP02D besteht aus zwei miteinander verbundenen, voneinander unabhängigen
Sensorsteckköpfen, die je einen Parameter liefern. Je nach Bestellung können Sie folgende

4 Warenannahme und Produktidentifizierung
4.1 Warenannahme
1. Auf unbeschädigte Verpackung achten.

Beschädigte Verpackung bis zur Klärung aufbewahren.

3. Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit prüfen.

4. Für Lagerung und Transport: Produkt stoßsicher und gegen Feuchtigkeit geschützt

 Optimalen Schutz bietet die Originalverpackung.

6 Basic safety instructions
6.1 Requirements for personnel
• Installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the measuring system may be
carried out only by specially trained technical personnel.
• The technical personnel must be authorized by the plant operator to carry out the specified
activities.
• The electrical connection may be performed only by an electrical technician.
• The technical personnel must have read and understood these Operating Instructions and
must follow the instructions contained therein.
• Faults at the measuring point may only be rectified by authorized and specially trained
personnel.
Repairs not described in the Operating Instructions provided must be carried out only
directly at the manufacturer's site or by the service organization.
6.2 Designated use
Memocheck CYP02D is a service tool for fast on-site checking of measuring systems
incorporating Memosens technology.
Use of the device for any purpose other than that described, poses a threat to the safety of
people and of the entire measuring system and is therefore not permitted.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper or non-designated use.
6.3 Non-designated use
The Memocheck CYP02D is not suitable for use directly in the process.
6.4 Occupational safety
As the user, you are responsible for complying with the following safety conditions:
• Installation guidelines
• Local standards and regulations
• Regulations for explosion protection
6.5 Operational safety
Before commissioning the entire measuring point:
1. Verify that all connections are correct.
2. Ensure that electrical cables and hose connections are undamaged.
3. Do not operate damaged products, and protect them against unintentional operation.
4. Label damaged products as defective.

6.6 Product safety
6.6.1 State of the art
The product is designed to meet state-of-the-art safety requirements, has been tested, and
left the factory in a condition in which it is safe to operate. The relevant regulations and
European standards have been observed.
6.6.2 Electrical equipment in hazardous areas
When used in conjunction with the CYK10-E/G**1/2 or CYK20-BA**** measuring cables,
the Memocheck CYP02D-***G sensor simulators, which are certified in accordance with
ATEX, may be connected only to the certified, intrinsically safe, digital sensor output circuits
of the following field measuring devices:
Liquiline M, type CM42-ME******** or CM42-MF******** in accordance with EU type-
examination certificate BVS 04 ATEX E 121 X.
Memosensis approved for measuring applications in explosive atmospheres in accordance
with:
• IECEx design approval, IECEx BVS 12.0007
• ATEX design approval BVS 12 ATEX E 008 with amendments
The EU Declaration of Conformity is an integral part of these Operating Instructions.
When used in conjunction with the CYK10-G**1 measuring cable, the Memocheck CYP02D-
***G sensors simulators, which are certified in accordance with FM / CSA, may be connected
only to the certified, intrinsically safe, digital sensor output circuits of the following field
measuring devices:
Liquiline M, type CM42-MP******** or CM42-MS******** as per the control drawings for
the transmitter.

‣The electrical connection of the CYK10 or CYK20 measuring cable must be carried out in
accordance with the wiring diagram for the transmitter.
‣The sensor simulators must not be operated under electrostatically critcical process
conditions. Avoid strong steam or dust currents that act directly on the connection system.
‣The maximum permissible cable length is 100 m (330 ft).
Hazardous area versions of digital sensors and simulators incorporating
Memosenstechnology are indicated by a red-orange ring on the plug-in head.

7 Product description
Memocheck CYP02D consists of two interconnected sensor plug-in heads which are
independent of one another, and which each supply one specific parameter. You can simulate
the following values depending on your order:

8 Incoming acceptance and product identification
8.1 Incoming acceptance
1. Verify that the packaging is undamaged.
 Notify the supplier of any damage to the packaging.
Keep the damaged packaging until the issue has been resolved.
2. Verify that the contents are undamaged.
 Notify the supplier of any damage to the delivery contents.
Keep the damaged goods until the issue has been resolved.
3. Check that the delivery is complete and nothing is missing.
 Compare the shipping documents with your order.
4. Pack the product for storage and transportation in such a way that it is protected
against impact and moisture.
 The original packaging offers the best protection.
Make sure to comply with the permitted ambient conditions (→ Technical data).
