Backup time is shorter than
claimed
•On initial installation, be sure that batteries have been charged for
24 hours before testing backup time
The power plug does not fit my
unit
•You may need to provide a power tip adapter to connect to your
device (two adapters, both male and female for the B-L10V1-20Q)
Device does not turn on when
installed
•Check to see that all plugs are firmly connected at the device, the
Backup Power unit, power adapter, and the AC wall outlet
•Check to see that the AC outlet is live
•Ensure that the Backup Power unit's power LED is lit
•Check for a short or overload. The Backup Power unit is designed
to cut power when a short-circuit or overload is detected
•Ensure that the battery’s polarity is correct and reverse if needed
( B-P1012-26Q)
•Check that the device’s voltage is compatible (12VDC for the
B-P1012-26Q, and either 5, 7.5, 9, or 12VDC for the
B-L10V1-20Q)
•If using the B-L10V1-20Q, press the “Off/Reset” button to reset
voltage output
During a power outage, power is
not provided to device
•Check for a short or overload. The Backup Power unit is designed
to cut power when a short-circuit or overload is detected
•Ensure that the Backup Power unit battery’s polarity is correct and
reverse if needed ( B-P1012-26Q only)
The alarm sounds (long beep) and
the red alarm LED
( B-L10V1-20Q) is lit
•Ensure that the input voltage is either 5, 7.5, 9, or 12VDC
•Ensure that the original power adapter is working and providing
power to the Backup Power unit
•Ensure that the device current draw is no more than 10W
•Check for a short-circuit at the device
was originally supplied with

replacing a battery, for continued dependability and safety, be sure to use the same GE™ 18650 Li-Ion battery
(for B-P1012-26Q). Using an inferior battery could result in a fire or explosion.
