KEY OPERATIONS
POWER
Press POWER button to turn on the unit and enter
[Radio mode], press again to turn off.
Selecting Radio BAND
In [Radio mode], press BAND button to choose FM, AM
or SW1, SW2 listening. Scroll up/down on tuning buttons
to tune into your radio station. To select WB station for
your area. Scroll up/down tuning buttons until you hear
weather information for your area.
Note: When listening to SW1, SW2, the band indicator will remain "AM".
SW1: 5.6 - 10.00 MHz
SW2: 11.0 - 18.0MHz (5k tuning step)
VOL / VOL
Press VOL / to increase/decrease volume level, press
and hold to speed up adjustment.
TUNING / TUNING
In [Radio mode], press TUNING / to adjust frequency,
press and hold it to auto tune into the next available
station.
LIGHT Operation
Press LIGHT button once to turn on the ashlight,
press it again to turn off. When the ashlight is on, hold
down the LIGHT button to dim/brighten the ashlight.
Press the LIGHT button twice quickly to turn on the red
emergency lights, press it twice again to turn off.
CELL Phone Charging
Plug your phone’s USB charging cable into the USB
out port on the FRX4 and plug the other end into your
phone. Press the CELL phone charger button to start

charging, a USB symbol appears in the display. Press it
again to stop charging and the symbol will disappear.
Note: Radio performance may be degraded while using the USB input or output
charging feature. The audio from weak radio stations may no longer come in
clearly.
FRX4 POWER OPTIONS
1000 mAh Lithium Battery
Charge the lithium battery via the included micro-
USB cable. Both the solar panel and the crank will
automatically charge to the lithium battery.
Solar Charging
When placed in sunlight, it will automatically start
charging the lithium battery. Battery light indicator will
show unit is charging. Fully charges the battery in 5-6
hours.
Crank Charging
Crank for 4 minutes to get 1 minute of talk time on most
smart phones or 10-15 minutes of radio time.
AAA Batteries
Takes 3 AAA batteries. Use a coin to open battery
compartment. Insert as shown on the battery holder and
re-seal compartment.
Note: FRX4 will run on Lithium battery until it runs out and then will automatically
switch to AAA batteries if loaded.
SETTING CLOCK
1. With the unit off, press and hold BAND button until
the clock begins to ash.
2. Adjust the hours using the VOL / buttons.

3. Adjust the minutes using the TUNING / buttons.
4. If no buttons are pressed within 5 seconds the unit
will return to normal operations
SETTING ALARM
1. With unit off press and hold the BAND button until
the clock begins to ash.
2. Press and release BAND button again, a bell icon will
appear in the display.
3. Adjust the hours using the VOL / buttons.
4. Adjust the minutes using the TUNING / buttons.
5. If no buttons are pressed within 5 seconds the unit
will return to normal operation.
ACTIVATING THE ALARM
1. With the unit off, press and release the BAND button,
a bell icon will appear on the display.
2. To Deactivate the alarm, with the unit off, press and
release the BAND button, there will no longer be a
bell icon on the display.
Silencing the Alarm
3. Press any button on the radio.
TROUBLE-SHOOTING
If the unit becomes unresponsive, press the RESET
button with a paper clip to reset. If you are having
further problems please contact us.

WARRANTY
If your product is still in warranty and the service
representative determines that warranty service
is needed, a return authorization will be issued and
instructions for shipment to an authorized warranty
repair facility. Do not ship your radio back without
obtaining the return authorization number.
NON-WARRANTY
If your product is no longer under warranty and requires
service our technical staff will refer you to the nearest
repair facility that will be able to best handle the repair.

FONCTIONS DES TOUCHES
ALIMENTATION
Appuyez sur le bouton POWER pour mettre l’appareil en
marche et entrez [mode Radio], appuyez à nouveau pour
éteindre.
Sélectionner la bande Radio
En [Mode Radio], appuyez sur la touche BAND pour
choisir d’écouter FM, AM ou SW1, SW2. Faites déler
vers le haut/bas les touches de syntonisation pour vous
brancher sur votre station de radio. Pour sélectionner la
station de la chaine météo (WB) de votre région. Faites
déler vers le haut/bas les touches de syntonisation
jusqu’à ce que vous entendiez les informations
météorologiques de votre région.
Remarque : Lorsque vous écoutez SW1, SW2, l’indicateur de bande reste « AM ».
SW1 : 5,6 à 10,00 MHz
SW2 : 11,0 à 18,00 Mhz (pas de syntonisation de 5k)
VOL / VOL
Appuyez sur VOL / pour augmenter/diminuer le niveau
du volume sonore, appuyez et maintenez pour accélérer
le réglage.
TUNING / TUNING
En [Mode Radio], appuyez sur TUNING / pour régler
la fréquence, appuyez et maintenez-le jusqu’à Auto-
tune (réglage automatique) dans la prochaine station
disponible.
Fonction LUMIERE
Appuyez sur LIGHT une fois pour allumer la lampe de
poche, appuyez à nouveau pour l’éteindre. Lorsque la
lampe de poche est activée, maintenez le bouton LIGHT
enfoncé pour baisser/augmenter la puissance de la
lumière de la lampe de poche. Appuyez sur la touche

LIGHT deux fois rapidement pour allumer la balise rouge
d’urgence, appuyez deux fois à nouveau pour éteindre.
Chargement de téléphone cellulaire
Branchez le câble de chargement USB de votre
téléphone dans le port de sortie USB sur la FRX4 et
branchez l’autre extrémité sur votre téléphone. Appuyez
sur la touche de chargeur de téléphone portable CELL
pour commencer à charger, un symbole USB apparait sur
l’écran. Appuyez à nouveau pour arrêter le chargement
et le symbole disparaît.
Remarque : La qualité de la réception peut diminuer lorsque la fonction de
rechargement par l'entrée ou la sortie USB est utilisée. Le son des stations de
radio dont le signal est faible peut alors ne pas être tout à fait net.
OPTIONS D’ALIMENTATION DU FRX4
Pile au lithium 1000 mAh
Chargez la pile au lithium via le câble micro-USB
fourni. Le panneau solaire et la manivelle rechargeront
automatiquement la batterie au lithium.
Chargement solaire
Lorsque la radio est placée en plein soleil, elle démarrera
automatiquement le chargement de la batterie au
lithium. Le témoin lumineux de la batterie indique que
l’appareil est en charge. Charge entièrement la batterie
en 5-6 heures.
Manivelle de chargement
Tournez la manivelle pendant 4 minutes permet
d’obtenir 1 minute de temps de conversation sur la
plupart des Smartphones, ou 10 à 15 minutes de temps
d’écoute de la radio.

Piles AAA
Prenez 3 piles AAA. Utilisez une pièce de monnaie pour
ouvrir le compartiment des piles. Insérez comme indiqué
sur la porte du compartiment de la batterie et refermez.
Remarque : FRX4 fonctionne sur les piles au Lithium jusqu’ˆ ce qu’elles s’épuisent
et passe ensuite automatiquement aux piles AAA si elles sont chargées.
REGLAGE DE L’HORLOGE
1. Avec la radio éteinte, maintenez enfoncée la touche
BAND jusqu’à ce que l’horloge se mette à clignoter.
2. Réglez les heures en utilisant les touches VOL / .
3. Réglez les minutes en utilisant les touches
TUNING / .
4. Si aucune touche n’est pressée dans les 5 secondes,
l’appareil revient aux fonctions normales
REGLAGE DE L’ALARME
1. Avec la radio éteinte, maintenez enfoncée la touche

3. Appuyez sur n’importe quel bouton de la radio.

DEPANNAGE
Si l’appareil ne répond pas, appuyez sur le bouton RESET
avec un trombone pour le réinitialiser. Si vous rencontrez
d’autres problmes, veuillez nous contacter.

MAINTENANCE DE VOTRE PRODUIT
Pour obtenir une réparation de votre produit, nous
vous recommandons de contacter en premier un agent
de réparation au 800-872-2228 pour les Etats-Unis,
800-637-1648 pour le Canada ou [phone] an
de déterminer le problème et faire dépanner. S’il faut
continuer la réparation, le personnel technique indiquera
comment procéder selon si la radio est encore sous
garantie ou nécessite une réparation hors garantie.
GARANTIE
Si votre produit est toujours sous garantie et que l’agent
du service réparation détermine qu’une réparation sous
garantie est nécessaire, une autorisation de retour sera
délivrée ainsi que des instructions pour l’expédition à
un centre de réparation agréé. Ne réexpédiez pas votre
radio sans avoir reçu le numéro d’autorisation de retour.
HORS GARANTIE
Si votre produit n’est plus sous garantie et doit être

FUNCIONES PRINCIPALES
ENCENDIDO
Presione el botón POWER para prender el dispositivo
e ingresar al [modo Radio], presione nuevamente para
apagarlo.
Selección de la BANDA de radio
En el [modo Radio], presione el botón BAND para elegir
entre FM, AM, OC1, OC2 (onda corta). Deslícese hacia
arriba o hacia abajo con los botones para sintonizar la
estación de radio deseada. Para seleccionar una banda
con informe meteorológico en su área, deslícese hacia
arriba o hacia abajo con los botones de sintonización
hasta que escuche la información climática de su área.
Nota: Cuando escuche OC1, OC2, el indicador de la banda se mantendrá en “AM”.
OC1: 5.6 - 10.00 MHz
OC2: 11.0 - 18.0MHz (paso de sintonía 5k)
VOL / VOL
Presione VOL / para aumentar o disminuir el nivel del
volumen, presione y mantenga para acelerar el proceso
de ajuste.
TUNING / TUNING
En [modo Radio] presione TUNING / para ajustar
la frecuencia, presione y mantenga para sintonizar
automáticamente la siguiente estación disponible.
Función del botón LIGHT
Presione el botón LIGHT una vez para prender la linterna,
presiónelo nuevamente para apagarla. Cuando la linterna
esté prendida, mantenga presionado el botón LIGHT
para aumentar o disminuir el brillo de la linterna. Presione
el botón LIGHT dos veces rápidamente para prender
