engageparkingbrake,andpullthewire(s)
offthesparkplug(s)beforeyoudoany
maintenance.Alsopushthewire(s)asideso
itdoesnotaccidentallycontactthespark
plug(s).
Note:Determinetheleftandrightsidesofthe
machinefromthenormaloperatingposition.
Note:Parktheunitonalevelsurface.Makesureall
movingpartshavestopped,parkingbrakeisengaged,
thekeyhasbeenremoved,andthesparkplugwire
hasbeendisconnected.Allowunittocoolbefore
startingtheseinstructions.

bystander’sdirection.Also,contactwiththe
bladecouldoccur.Thrownobjectsorblade
contactcancauseseriousinjuryordeath.
Neveroperatethemowerwiththedischarge
deectorraised,removed,oralteredunless
thereisagrasscollectionsystemormulchkit
inplaceandworkingproperly.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.Make
sureallmovingpartshavestopped,parking
brakeisengaged,keyhasbeenremoved,and
thesparkplugwire(s)hasbeendisconnected.
Allowmachinetocoolbeforestartingthese
instructions.
2.Raisethedecktothetransport(maximum
cuttingheight)position.
3.Raisethedischargedeector.
4.Insertthemountingpinintothetubeweldedto
therearcornerofthedeck.
5.Using3/8-16x11/4inchscrewand3/8inch
angednylocnut,looselyinstallthelatchonto
theaccessoryadapterasshowninFigure1.
6.Pivottheaccessoryadaptertowardsthedeck.
Thefrontpinshouldengageintotheslotinthe
deckasshowninFigure3.

7.Rotatethelatchdownwardtolocktheassembly
inthisposition.Adjustthetensiononthelatch
toholdtheassemblyuptothedeck,yetallow
forreleasebyhand.T ensioncanbeadjustedby
tighteningorlooseningthehardwarethatretains
thelatch.
8.Installthe5/16-18x1inchcarriageboltintothe
bottomholeoftheaccessoryadapteranddeck
andfastenwith3/8inchnylocnut(seeFigure1).
