9.Installhardwarebackintotheholeinthetopofthe
deckwherethedischargebafewasremoved.For
Lazer,LazerXP ,andLazerXSunitsSerialNumber
539,000andlower,reinstallthebeltguidewithaspring
discwasherundertheheadoftheinnerboltandadjust
thebeltguide1/8inchfromthebelt.Allopenholes
inthetopofthedecknotcoveredbyshieldsmustbe
pluggedtopreventsandorothersmallobjectsfrom
beingthrownupthroughthedeck.
10.Tightenallhardware.
11.Carefullyremovethejackstandsandlowerthemachine
totheground.
RemovingtheMulchKit
Toconvertthedeckbacktosidedischarge:
1.Stopengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop,
engageparkingbrake,removekey,anddisconnectthe
negativebatterycable.
2.Removemulchingbafes,blockerbafe,andcover
plate.
3.Installthedischargebafethatwasremovedinstep4
ofInstallingtheMulchKitsection.
4.Replacethemulchingbladeswithstandardblades.
Refertostep8ofInstallingtheMulchKitforblade
torque.
5.Install5/16-18x5/8inchhexheadcapscrewand
whizlocknutintheholeontopofthedeckwiththe
boltheadunderneath.Install5/16-18x5/8inchhex
headcapscrewandwhizlocknutinthetwoholesinthe
frontofthedeckwiththeboltheadstotheoutsideof
thedeck.Allopenholesnotcoveredbybeltshields
mustbepluggedtopreventsandorothersmallobjects
frombeingthrownupthroughthedeck.
6.Flipdownthedischargedeector.
DANGER
Anuncovereddischargeopeningwillallow
objectstobethrowninanoperator'sor
bystander'sdirection.Also,contactwiththe
bladecouldoccur.Thrownobjectsorblade
contactcancauseseriousinjuryordeath.
Neveroperatethemowerwiththeside
dischargedoorraised,removed,oraltered
unlessthereisadischargedeectorandmulch
pluginplaceandworkingproperly.
