Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitch,engage
parkingbrake,andpullthewire(s)offthespark
plug(s)beforeyoudoanymaintenance.Alsopush
thewire(s)asidesoitdoesnotaccidentallycontact
thesparkplug(s).
Note:Determinetheleftandrightsidesofthemachine
fromthenormaloperatingposition.
Note:Parktheunitonalevelsurface.Makesureallmoving
partshavestopped,parkingbrakeisengaged,thekeyhasbeen
removed,andthesparkplugwirehasbeendisconnected.
Allowunittocoolbeforestartingtheseinstructions.

1.Makesureallmovingpartshavestoppedandthespark
plugwirehasbeendisconnected.Allowunittocool
beforestartingtheseinstructions
2.Removeanddiscardthegrassbagfromthemower.
3.Removeandretainthetwoscrewsfromthehandlebar
bracketsandpushthebracketsdownward(seeFigure
3).

5.Installthenewdoorassemblyontotheunitandsecure
withthehandlebarbracketsandscrews.

•Neveropenthedoortothereardischarge
openingwhenthebladeisstillrunning.
•Ifyoucannotclosethedoorbecausethegrass
clippingsclogthedischargearea,stopthe
engineandgentlymovethedischargedoor
handlebackandforthuntilyoucanclosethe
doorcompletely.Ifyoustillcannotclosethe
door,removetheobstructionwithastick,not
yourhand.
WARNING
Grassclippingsandotherobjectscanbethrown
fromanopendischargetunnel.Thrownobjects
cancauseseriousinjuryorkilltheoperatoror
bystanders.
Neverstartoroperatethelawnmowerunlessone
ofthefollowingistrue:
•Thedischargetunnelplugislockedsecurelyin
thedischargetunnel.
•Thegrassbagislockedinplace.
•Theoptionalreardischargechuteislockedin
place.
•Thedischargetunneldoorisclosed.
