Introduction
The Exo Terra®Day & Night LED is ideal for reptiles, amphibians
and invertebrates with NO UVB-requirements, like snakes, nocturnal
geckos, frogs, newts, salamanders, spiders, scorpions, etc…. The
bright white LED’s create a nice daylight, while the blue LED’s mimic
a moonlight shimmer that enables you to observe your animals at
night without disturbing their natural behavior. The dim light of the
blue LED’s allows nocturnal animals to navigate in their territory in
search of insects, mating-partners, etc…, in total darkness they
would be completely disoriented. Simply tap the Day/Night logo
touch button to switch from bright daylight to blue night light. The
Exo Terra®Day & Night LED is the most convenient and energy
efficient way to illuminate your terrarium day & night.
Conventional lightbulbs waste more than 80% of the used energy
in the form of heat, whereas the Exo Terra®Day & Night LED
illuminates your terrarium with a minimum of heat and a maximum
of light output. An almost complete absence of heat production
reduces the risk of overheating during summer season and allows
natural night time temperature drops. For reptiles, amphibians and
invertebrates with higher temperature requirements, supplemental
heat sources should be provided. The LED’s in the Exo Terra®Day
& Night LED consume less energy and have a longer lifespan
compared to conventional incandescent and fluorescent light bulbs.

7. Do not install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to
weather or to temperatures below freezing.
8. The safety of this appliance is guaranteed only provided that the
adaptor and light unit are properly installed. Ensure sufficient air

9. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a proper rating
should be used. A cord rated for less amperes or watts than the

Warning: Disconnect the plug of this light unit, and
any other electrical equipment, used for the
terrarium, paludarium or aqua-terrarium before
placing your hands in the water; and/or performing
any maintenance of any kind.
Warning: Whenever installing or removing the Exo Terra®
Day & Night LED or any other equipment, always ensure that
it is unplugged.

Warning: Do not place the light unit housing near filter outputs
or expose it to water spray or humidity. Do not submerge in
water.
INSTALLATION OF LIGHTING UNIT (P. 18)
Integrated into the Exo Terra®Day & Night LED is a self-adhesive
mounting bracket that will allow you to easily attach the unit onto
the terrarium.
1. Clean the outside surface of the terrarium glass.
2. With the protective backing still intact, place the mounting
bracket on the back or the side of the terrarium to determine its
final position.
3. Mark the position with a wax pencil or other marker.
4. Remove the protective backing and carefully fit the mounting
bracket within the marked area.
5. Make sure the tape is pressed evenly against the terrarium glass
and that no air bubbles are showing.
6. Press the adhesive side firmly against the glass panel for at least
30 seconds.
7. Wait a few moments and make sure the tape is attached firmly
to the terrarium before suspending the fixture
8. Place the LED Fixture in the mounting bracket and connect the
power supply to the fixture.
9. Simply tap the Day/Night logo touch button to switch from bright
daylight to blue night light.

INSTRUCTIONS PERTAINING TO A RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC
SHOCK, OR INJURY TO PERSONS
WARNING: To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should
be observed when handling the Exo Terra®Day & Night LED,
including the following:
1. READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
and all important notices on the appliance before using. Failure
to do so may result in damage to the unit.
2. DANGER – To avoid possible electrical shock, special care
should be taken. For each of the following situations, do not
attempt repairs yourself; return the appliance to an authorized
service facility for service or discard the appliance.
A. If the appliance falls into the water, DON’T reach for it! First
unplug it and then retrieve it. If the electrical components of the
appliance get wet, unplug the appliance immediately.
B. Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It should not
be plugged in if there is water on parts not intended to be wet.
C. Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged electrical cord
or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or if it is dropped or damaged
in any manner. The power cord of this appliance cannot be
replaced: if the cord is damaged, the appliance should be
discarded. Never cut the cord.
D. To avoid the possibility of the
appliance plug or electrical
outlet getting wet, position the
appliance to one side of a wall
mounted outlet to prevent water
from dripping onto the outlet or
plug. A “drip-loop” should be
arranged. The “drip-loop” is that
part of the cord below the level
of the unit and the outlet, or the
connector if an extension cord
is used, to prevent water from
traveling along the cord and
coming in contact with the outlet or light unit. If the plug or outlet
does get wet, DON’T unplug the electrical cord. Disconnect the
fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the appliance, then
unplug and examine for presence of water in the outlet.
3. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
4. To avoid injury, do not contact hot parts.
5. Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when not in use,
before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Never
yank cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to
disconnect.
6. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use. The use

Cleaning the Unit:
1. Do not place the light unit housing near filter outputs or expose it

2. No special maintenance is required for the Exo Terra®Day & Night
LED, other than periodic cleaning with a cloth (never use harsh
chemical products or detergents).
3. It is strongly recommended to always follow all the
precautions
and procedures outlined in both the Important Safeguards and
Installation Instructions sections.

This product is guaranteed for defects in material or workmanship
for a period of 1 year from date of purchase. The guarantee is valid
with proof of purchase only. The guarantee is limited to repair or
replacement of the unit only and does not cover consequential loss
or damage of or to animate or inanimate objects. This guarantee
is valid only under normal operating conditions for which the unit
is intended. It excludes any damage caused by unreasonable use,
improper installation, negligence, tampering, or abuse of the unit.
For guarantee service or spare parts contact your local pet dealer or
write to the representative in your country. This guarantee does not
affect your statutory rights.

INSTRUCTIONS
MISE EN GARDE : Pour éviter toute blessure, il faut, en manipulant
l’appareil d’éclairage à DEL jour et nuit Day & Night Exo TerraMD,
observer des précautions élémentaires de sécurité, dont les
suivantes :
1. LIRE ET RESPECTER TOUTES LES CONSIGNES DE
SÉCURITÉ et tous les avis importants sur l’appareil avant de
l’utiliser. Faute de quoi, il pourrait s’ensuivre des dommages à
l’appareil.
2. DANGER – Pour éviter tout risque d’électrocution, une attention
spéciale est nécessaire. Dans chacune des situations suivantes,
ne pas essayer de réparer l’appareil soi-même; le retourner
plutôt à un service de réparations autorisé ou le jeter.
A. Si l’appareil tombe dans l’eau, NE PAS lui toucher. Il faut d’abord
le débrancher et ensuite le retirer. Si des pièces électriques
de l’appareil entrent en contact avec de l’eau, débrancher
immédiatement l’appareil.
B. Examiner attentivement l’appareil après l’installation. Il ne faut
pas le brancher si de l’eau se trouve sur des pièces qui ne
doivent pas être mouillées.
C. Ne pas faire fonctionner un appareil dont la fiche ou le cordon
est endommagé, qui ne fonctionne pas correctement ou qui
est tombé ou a été endommagé
d’une manière quelconque.

ne peut être remplacé; s’il est
endommagé, l’appareil complet
doit être jeté. Ne jamais couper le
cordon.
D. Afin d’éviter que la fiche ou la
prise de courant de l’appareil se
mouille, placer l’appareil à côté
d’une prise de courant murale
et faire en sorte que l’eau ne
s’égoutte ni sur cette prise ni sur la fiche. Il faut former une «
boucle d’égouttement ». La « boucle d’égouttement » est la partie
du cordon qui se trouve sous la prise de courant, ou le raccord

Introduction
L’appareil d’éclairage à DEL jour et nuit Day & Night Exo TerraMD est
parfait pour les reptiles, les amphibiens et les invertébrés tels que
les serpents, les geckos nocturnes, les grenouilles, les tritons, les
salamandres, les araignées, les scorpions, etc., qui ne nécessitent
AUCUN éclairage UVB. Les ampoules à DEL blanches à éclairage vif
produisent une belle lumière du jour, alors que les ampoules à DEL
bleues reproduisent un clair de lune étincelant qui permet d’observer
le comportement des animaux la nuit, sans les déranger. La lumière
tamisée émise par les ampoules à DEL bleues permet aux animaux
nocturnes de se promener dans leur habitat dans le but de trouver
des insectes ou un partenaire d’accouplement; sans lumière, ils
seraient complètement désorientés. Il suffit de taper doucement
le bouton Day/Night pour changer de la lumière vive du jour à la
lumière bleue de la nuit. L’appareil d’éclairage à DEL jour et nuit Day
& Night Exo TerraMD constitue la façon la plus commode et la plus
écoénergétique d’éclairer votre terrarium jour et nuit.
Les ampoules ordinaires dépensent plus de 80 % de l’énergie
utilisée sous forme de chaleur alors que l’appareil d’éclairage à DEL
jour et nuit Day & Night Exo TerraMD éclaire votre terrarium avec un
minimum de chaleur et un maximum de flux lumineux. Une infime
production de chaleur réduit le risque d’excès de chaleur durant l’été
et permet des baisses de température naturelles pendant la nuit.
En ce qui concerne les reptiles, les amphibiens ou les invertébrés
nécessitant des températures plus élevées, il faut leur procurer
des sources de chaleur supplémentaires. Les ampoules à DEL de
l’appareil d’éclairage à DEL jour et nuit Day & Night Exo TerraMD
consomment moins d’énergie et ont une durée de vie plus longue
que les ampoules incandescentes et fluorescentes ordinaires.

si une rallonge est utilisée, et qui empêche l’eau de glisser le
long du cordon et d’entrer en contact avec la prise de courant
ou l’appareil d’éclairage. Si la fiche ou la prise de courant
sont mouillées, NE PAS débrancher l’appareil. Mettre d’abord
hors circuit le fusible ou le disjoncteur qui fournit l’électricité
à l’appareil, puis le débrancher et vérifier qu’il n’y a pas d’eau
dans la prise.
3. Cet appareil ne doit pas être utilisé par des personnes (y compris
des enfants) aux capacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales
réduites, ou qui manquent d’expérience et de connaissance,
à moins qu’elles soient placées sous la supervision d’une
personne responsable de leur sécurité ou qu’elles en aient reçu
les directives nécessaires à son utilisation. Toujours surveiller les
enfants pour les empêcher de jouer avec cet appareil.
4. Pour éviter toute blessure, ne toucher aucune pièce chaude.
5. Toujours débrancher l’appareil lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé, avant
d’ajouter ou de retirer des pièces, et avant d’en effectuer le
nettoyage. Ne jamais tirer sur le cordon d’alimentation pour
débrancher l’appareil. Prendre plutôt la fiche entre les doigts,
puis tirer.
6. Ne pas se servir de l’appareil pour un usage autre que celui
prévu. L’emploi de fixations ni recommandées ni vendues
par le fabricant de l’appareil peut être source de situations
dangereuses.
7. Ne pas installer ni ranger l’appareil où il serait exposé à des
températures sous le point de congélation.
8. Dans la mesure où l’adaptateur et l’appareil d’éclairage sont
correctement installés, cet appareil ne représente aucun danger.
Assurer une circulation d’air suffisante autour de l’appareil.
9. Si une rallonge électrique est nécessaire, vérifier qu’elle est d’un
calibre suffisant. Un cordon électrique de moins d’ampères ou
de watts que l’appareil peut surchauffer. Des précautions doivent
être prises afin d’éviter qu’on tire la rallonge ou qu’on trébuche
sur celle-ci.

RECOMMANDATION :
• Ce matériel doit SEULEMENT ÊTRE UTILISÉ À L’INTÉRIEUR.
•Avertissement : Avant de se mettre les mains dans l’eau ou

d’éclairage et de l’équipement électrique utilisés pour le
terrarium, le paludarium ou l’aquaterrarium.
•Avertissement : Au moment d’installer ou de retirer tout
appareil, y compris l’appareil d’éclairage à DEL jour et nuit Night
& Day Exo TerraMD, toujours s’assurer que l’appareil en question
est débranché.
•Avertissement : Débrancher l’appareil d’éclairage, et tout autre
équipement électrique utilisé pour tout terrarium, paludarium
ou aquaterrarium, avant de se mettre les mains dans l’eau ou

INSTALLATION DE L’APPAREIL D’ÉCLAIRAGE (P. 18)
Un support autocollant est compris avec l’appareil d’éclairage à DEL
jour et nuit Day & Night Exo TerraMD; celui-ci permet de facilement
fixer l’appareil d’éclairage au terrarium.
1. Nettoyer la paroi extérieure du terrarium en verre.
2. Sans enlever la pellicule protectrice, déterminer l’endroit définitif,
à l’arrière ou sur le côté du terrarium, où sera installé le support
de l’appareil d’éclairage.
3. Marquer l’emplacement déterminé avec un crayon de cire ou un
marqueur.
4. Enlever la pellicule protectrice et fixer soigneusement le support
à l’emplacement déterminé.
5. S’assurer que le ruban adhésif est collé uniformément sur le
verre du terrarium et qu’il n’y a aucune bulle.
6. Appuyer fermement sur le ruban adhésif collé sur le panneau en
verre, pendant au moins 30 secondes.
7. Attendre quelques secondes et s’assurer que le ruban adhésif
est bien fixé au terrarium avant de suspendre l’appareil
d’éclairage.
8. Fixer l’appareil d’éclairage au support et le brancher.
9. Il suffit de taper doucement le bouton Day/Night pour changer de
la lumière vive du jour à la lumière bleue de la nuit.
Entretien
Avertissement :
• Débrancher l’appareil d’éclairage, et tout autre équipement
électrique utilisé pour tout terrarium, paludarium ou
aquaterrarium, avant de se mettre les mains dans l’eau ou
d’effectuer quelque entretien que ce soit.
• Au moment d’installer ou de retirer tout appareil, y compris
l’appareil d’éclairage à DEL jour et nuit Night & Day Exo TerraMD,
toujours s’assurer que l’appareil en question est débranché.
• Le cordon d’alimentation de cet appareil ne peut être remplacé.
S’il est endommagé, il faut jeter l’appareil.
Nettoyage de l’appareil :
1. Ne pas mettre l’appareil d’éclairage près d’une sortie de filtre
ni à un endroit où il serait exposé à de l’humidité ou à de l’eau
vaporisée. Ne pas immerger dans l’eau.
2. Aucun entretien spécial n’est requis pour l’appareil d’éclairage
à DEL jour et nuit Day & Night Exo TerraMD, excepté un nettoyage
périodique avec un linge (ne jamais utiliser ni produits chimiques
ni détergents corrosifs).
3. Il est fortement recommandé de suivre en tout temps toutes les
précautions et les procédures décrites dans les sections Mesures
de sécurité importantes et Directives d’installation.
GARANTIE
Le produit est garanti contre tout défaut de matériaux et de
fabrication pour une période d’un an à partir de la date d’achat.
La garantie est valide uniquement avec une preuve d’achat.

любого рода.

осветительного прибора рядом с выходами
фильтра и не подвергайте его воздействию брызг
воды или влаги. Не погружайте в воду
УСТАНОВКА ОСВЕЩЕНИЯ (стр. 18)
В Exo Terra® Day & Night LED встроен самоклеящийся
монтажный кронштейн, который позволит вам легко прикрепить
устройство к террариуму.
1. Очистить наружную поверхность террариумного стекла
2. Оставив защитную подложку неповрежденной, установите
монтажный кронштейн сзади или сбоку террариума, чтобы
определить его окончательное положение.
3. Пометьте позицию восковым карандашом или другим маркером.
4. Снимите защитную подложку и аккуратно установите
монтажный кронштейн в обозначенную область.
5. Убедитесь, что лента равномерно прижата к
террариумному стеклу и что пузырьки воздуха не видны.
6. Сильно прижмите клейкой стороной к стеклянной панели
не менее 30 секунд.

ВНИМАНИЕ: во избежание травм при обращении с Exo
Terra® Day & Night LED необходимо соблюдать основные
меры предосторожности:
1. ПРОЧИТАЙТЕ И СОБЛЮДАЙТЕ ВСЕ ИНСТРУКЦИИ
ТЕХНИКИ БЕЗОПАСНОСТИ и все важные замечания перед
использованием прибора. Невыполнение этого требования может
привести к повреждению устройства.
2. ОПАСНО: Во избежание поражения электрическим током
следует соблюдать особую осторожность, поскольку при
использовании данного оборудования используется вода. В
каждой из следующих ситуаций не пытайтесь ремонтировать
прибор самостоятельно; верните прибор в авторизованный
сервисный центр для обслуживания или утилизируйте прибор.
A. Если на двигателе есть какие-либо признаки того, что
вытекает вода, немедленно отключите его от источника
питания
B.Не используйте прибор, если был поврежден шнур или
вилка, если он неисправен, а также если он упал или
каким-либо образом поврежден. Шнур питания прибора
не подлежит замене. Если шнур поврежден, то прибор
следует выбросить. Никогда не перерезайте шнур.
C. Чтобы избежать попадания влаги на вилку или
электрическую розетку, расположите прибор на одной
стороне настенной розетки, чтобы вода не капала на
розетку или вилку.
D. Подключаите сетевые штекеры на
такоивысоте, чтобы соединительный
кабель образовывал петлю, с

Часть шнура, должна находиться
ниже уровня розетки или разъема,
если используется удлинитель. Если
вилка или розетка намокнет, НЕ
ОТКЛЮЧАЙТЕ шнур.
3. Данныи прибор не предназначен для использования лицами
(включая детеи) с ограниченными физическими, сенсорными
или умственными способностями или не имеющими
достаточного опыта и/или знании, если только под надзором
лиц, отвечающих за их безопасность, или после получения от
них указании по правильному использованию аппарата.

7. Подождите несколько секунд и убедитесь, что лента плотно
прикреплена к террариуму, прежде чем подвесить прибор
8. Поместите светодиодный светильник в монтажный кронштейн и
подключите источник питания к светильнику.
9. Просто нажмите сенсорную кнопку с логотипом «День / Ночь»,
чтобы переключиться с яркого дневного света на синий.
Очищение:
