EX-1452IS Deutsch
Der EX-1452IS ist ein USB 3.2 (Gen1) Super-Speed Isolationsadapter der den Spezifika-
tionen des Universal Serial Bus (USB) Revision 3.2 (Gen1) entspricht und mit einer Da-
tenübertragungsrate von bis zu 5Gbps arbeitet. Er ist mit einem USB 3.2 (Gen1) A-
Anschluss und einem USB 3.2 (Gen1) B-Anschluss ausgestattet. Der Adapter ist mit ei-
nem 15KV ESD Überspannungsschutz und zwischen dem Upstream und Downstream
Anschluss ist er ebenfalls mit einer 3KV Optischen Isolation ausgestattet. Auf Host Seite,
ist der EX-1452IS jedoch nur für den USB 3.2 (Gen1) Anschluss oder höher kompatibel!
Er unterstützt somit keine USB 2.0 oder 1.1 Host‘s. Der EX-1452IS unterstützt den USB-
Bus Power Modus und den Self Power Modus und somit ist es möglich den Adapter
ohne Netzteil zu betreiben, unter der Voraussetzung die Endgeräte haben nur einen
geringen Stromverbrauch. Bei Endgeräten mit einem hohen Stromverbrauch und keiner
eigenen Stromversorgung, wird empfohlen die EX-1452IS mit einem Netzteil zu verbin-
den. Der EX-1452IS ist somit eine kompakte und einfache Lösung um Ihre USB-
Anschlüsse optisch voneinander zu isolieren.

3.2 Beschränkung des Host Anschlusses
Aufgrund der Beschränkung des Isolators kann der EX-1452IS zwar USB 3.2, USB 2.0
& USB 1.1 Geräte an seinem Downstream-Anschluss unterstützen, aber an seinem
Upstream-Anschluss nur USB 2.0 & USB 1.1 Host‘s. Die folgende Tabelle listet die
Kombinationen auf:

5. Treiber Installation
Alle Betriebssysteme
Nach Abschluss der Hardwareinstallation erkennt das Betriebssystem den EX-1452IS
automatisch und installiert diesen.
ÜBERPRÜFEN DES INSTALLIERTEN TREIBER
Öffnen Sie den >Geräte-Manager<. Jetzt müssten Sie unter „USB-Controller“ folgen-
de Einträge sehen:
Sind diese oder ähnliche Einträge vorhanden, ist der USB Hub richtig installiert.

4. Hardware Installation
Beachten Sie bitte die folgenden Installationshinweise. Da es große Unterschiede zwi-
schen PC‘s gibt, können wir Ihnen nur eine generelle Anleitung zur Installation der EX-
1452IS geben. Bei Unklarheiten halten Sie sich bitte an die Bedienungsanleitung Ihres
Computersystems.
1. Verwenden Sie Vorsichtsmaßnahmen zur Entladung statischer Elektrizität! Entfer-
nen Sie vor der Installation mögliche statische Entladungspotentiale von allen Ob-
jekten, mit denen der Isolator in Kontakt kommen könnte. Dies kann beispielsweise
durch berühren einer blanken Metallgehäuseschiene nach dem Ausschalten der
Stromversorgung erfolgen.
2. Verbinden Sie nun den EX-1452IS mit dem im Lieferumfang enthaltenem USB Kabel
und das andere Ende des Kabel‘s mit dem USB-Anschluss an Ihrem PC.
3. Schließen Sie nun Ihr USB Endgerät an den EX-1452IS an.
4. Wenn gewünscht, installieren Sie nun die Wandmontagehalterung oder das optional
erhältliche DIN-Rail Kit an der EX-1452IS.

6. Reinigung
Zur Reinigung des Gerätes verwenden Sie bitte ausschließlich ein trockenes nicht fa-
serndes Tuch und entfernen Sie die Verschmutzung mit leichtem Druck. Im Bereich der
Anschlüsse bitte darauf Achten, dass keine Fasern des Tuchs in der Buchse hinterlas-
sen werden. Verwenden Sie bitte zu Reinigung in keinem Fall ein feuchtes oder
nasses Tuch!

The EX-1452IS is a USB 3.2 (Gen1) Isolation Adapter that complies with the Universal
Serial Bus (USB) Revision 3.2 (Gen1 and work with up to 5Gbps data transfer rate. It is
equipped with one USB 3.2 (Gen1) A-Port and one USB 3.2 (Gen1) B-Port. The adapt-
er is equipped with a 15KV ESD Surge Protection and between the upstream and
downstream port it is also equipped with a 3KV Optical Isolation. On the host side, how-
ever, the EX-1452IS is only compatible with USB 3.2 (Gen1) or higher. It therefore does
not support USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 host’s. The EX-1452IS supports USB Bus Power Mode
and Self Power Mode, allowing the adapter to operate without a power supply, provided
the devices have low power consumption. For devices with high power consumption
and no separate power supply, we recommend connecting the EX-1452IS to a power
supply. This makes the EX-1452IS a compact and simple solution for optically isolating
your USB ports from each other.

3.2 Limitation of Host Connection
Due to the limitations of the isolator, the EX-1452IS can support USB 3.2, USB 2.0 &
USB 1.1 devices on the downstream port, but only USB 2.0 & USB 1.1 host‘s on the
upstream port. The following table lists the combinations:

5. Driver Installation
All Operating Systems
After the hardware installation the OS will recognize the device automatically and install
the drivers.
CHECK INSTALLED DRIVER
Open the >Device manager<. Now you should see at „USB-Controller“ the following
new entry's:

4. Hardware Installation
Because there are large differences between PC’s, we can give you only a general in-
stallation guide. Please refer your computer’s reference manual whenever in doubt.
1. Use precautionary measures to discharge static electricity! Before installation, remo-
ve possible static discharge potentials from all objects with which the insulator could
come into contact. This can be done, for example, by touching a bare metal housing
rail after switching off the power supply.
2. Now connect the EX-1452IS with the included USB cable and the other end of the
cable to the USB port on your PC.
3. Now connect the devices to the EX-1452IS.
4. If desired, now install the wall mounting kit or the optionally available DIN-Rail Kit on
the EX-1452IS.

6. Cleaning
For cleaning please use only a dry fluff less cloth and remove the dirt with gently pres-
sure. In the area of the connectors please make sure that no fibres from the cloth re-
main in the connectors. Attention! Never use a moist or wet cloth for cleaning!
