The CP field busnodetypeCP−FB13−E described in this man
ual has been designed exclusively for use as aslaveon the
PROFIBUS−DP. CP modules from Festocan beconnected to
CPfield busnodeCP−FB13−E.
The CP nodemay only beused as follows:

1.1 General instructions on installation
Warning
Beforecarrying out installation and maintenance work,
switch off the following:
the compressed air supply,
the operating voltageon the field busnode
(pins1and 2),
the load voltagesupply tothe valves.
You can thereby avoid:
uncontrolled movementsof loose tubing.
unexpected movementsof the connected actuators.
non−defined switching states of the electronic compo
nents.
Caution
The nodeof the CP system containselectrostatically sensi
tivecomponents.
·Do not thereforetouch any contacts.
·Observethe regulationsfor handling electrostatically
sensitivecomponents.
You will then prevent the electronics in the nodefrom being
damaged.

found in the manual Installing and commissioning
CPsystems."

1.2 Configuring the field bus node
Rotary and DIL switches can befound under the cover on the
field busnode(see Fig.1/1).
Open and close the cover as follows:
·Opening: Removethe 2screwsin the cover. Lift up the
cover.
·Closing: Place the cover in position and tighten the screws
by hand.
Caution
Tighten the screwsof the switch cover only by hand.
1.2.1Setting the field busnode
Withthe rotary and DIL switches you can set the following
functions:
the station number
the voltagemonitoring
the field busprotocol PROFIBUS−DP:

Setting the station number
You can set the station number withthe rotary switches and
element 1of the DIL−switch.

Proceed as follows:
1.Switch off the operating voltage.
2.Assign an unused PROFIBUS address tothe fieldbus
node.
3.Use ascrewdriver toset the arrow of the relevant rotary
switch or element 1of the DIL switch tothe units, tensor
hundredsfigureof the desired station number.

Please note
The station number (DP slaveaddress) of the valveter
minal cannot bemodified by the DP master. The valveter
minal can only beaddressed by the station number set on
the rotary/DIL switches.
Station numbersmay only beassigned once per field bus
module/PROFIBUS−DPinterface.
Observeany possible limitationsas regardsthe assign
ment of station addresses by your DP master.
Recommendation:
Assign the station numbersin ascending order. If necessary,
assign the station numberstosuit the machinestructureof
your system.

Setting the voltage monitoring
Withswitch element 2of the DIL switch, you can specify
whether or not the load voltageof the valves and the output
modules is tobemonitored (see chapter 3Diagnosis and
fault treatment").
