2 FAULT CODES
There is a general differentiation between cooking zone- specific errors and general
errors.
Error conditions that may be definitely assigned to a cooking zone only switch off the
cooking zone.
But general errors always switch off the entire control unit. As long as there is an error
the control or the cooking zone may not be switched on again.
General errors with four cooking zones:
General errors are displayed with four cooking zone-displays for controls. Here, the
two back displays show blinking "E" and "r", and the two front displays show the two-
digit error number.
General errors with five cooking zones:
The existing fifth display is not used – the error indication is equivalent to that with four
cooking zones.
Cooking Zone- specific errors:
Are always displayed on the respective display – alternating with "E“ and the one-digit
error number.
In any of these cases, it is still optionally possible to have a residual heat indication for
cooking zones with an error. `
General errors basically have priority vs. Cooking zone -specific errors.
2.1 General Fault Codes

2.2 Cook Zone Fault codes

2.3 o (suitable) Cookware on Cooking Zone
This symbol will alternate with the selected temperature
setting if you start cooking and
•place no pan on the cooking zone
OR
•the pan you’re using is not suitable for induction
cooking.
No heating takes place unless there is a suitable pan on the cooking zone.
The cooktop will automatically turn off after 10 minutes if no suitable pan is placed on
it.
3 SERVICE ME U - CO FIGURATIO
To protect the service menu accidentally being accessed by a user, the settings are
only accessible for 2 minutes after a power reset.
To do this turn the product off at the wall, wait 30 seconds, then power back on at the
wall but OFF at the touch control module, and no timer must be active.
ote: Cooking zone-specific or general errors may occur, since the access into the
service menu is possibly required in order to correct them (e.g. wrong configuration
fault code - ER31).
After the power reset, the product will bring up a sequence of lights on the control
panel, after the sequence has finished Push and Hold the Keylock Button.

While holding the keylock button – push the different keys of all existing cooking zones
from right to left.
Each activation of a key in combination with the pressed and held key-lock key is
confirmed with an acoustic key signal. Once all keys have been pressed, the
configuration is complete and must be stored, to do this, lift finger off the keylock
button and repress, hold for 2 sec.
A double acoustic signal will advise the saved data. Then, the control starts a reset
and changes to the off mode, after configuration the cooktop is ready to use.
ote:
Each cooking zone key requires activation within 1 second from the last key press. As
soon as the sequence or the timing is not kept, there will be a short acoustic double
signal – the entry in the service menu is interrupted and the Touch Control (TC)
remains in the off mode.
During entry in the service menu all possible error messages on the display will
disappear. On the front left cooking zone the current program point "0” is blinking
alternating with “C“. On the back left display the current value “0” of the selected
program point is shown. In addition, the Touch Control (TC) signals the successful
entry with a blinking key-lock LED.
If you want to leave the Service Menu without saving the data there are 2 possibilities:
1) Leaving the service menu by actuating the on/off key, possible changes are not
saved, the menu is closed, the control remains off.
2) The service menu is automatically closed, if there are no entries within 60s. Data is
not saved. The control unit is in off mode. This is signalized with an acoustic double
signal.

The touch controls are
unresponsive or difficult
to operate.
There may be a slight film of
water over the controls or you
may be using the tip of your
finger when touching them.
Make sure the touch
control area is dry and use the
ball of your finger.
The cooktop has turned
itself off unexpectedly
and no error codes are
displayed.
Possible fuse/RCD tripped
Two or more controls have
registered touch at the same
time, and one of them was the
ON/OFF control.
Check power to product
Turn the cooktop back on and
continue to use it.
Some or all displays
flash and there is a
continuous beep.
Some touch controls have been
registering long, continuous
contact (e.g. you may have
leaned onto the controls or left
an object on them).
Remove the cause of the
contact to stop them beeping,
then touch any control briefly.
Re try the cooktop.
Some pans make
crackling or clicking
noises.
This may be caused by the
construction of your cookware
(layers of different metals
vibrating differently).
This is normal for induction
cookware and does not
indicate a fault.
The cooktop makes a
low humming noise
when used on a high
heat setting (especially
PowerBoost).
This is caused by the technology
of induction cooking.
This is normal, but the noise
should quieten down or
disappear completely when
you decrease the heat setting.
Fan noise coming from
the cooktop.
A cooling fan built into your
cooktop has come on to prevent
the electronics from overheating.
It may continue to run even after
you’ve turned the cooktop off.
This is normal and needs no
action. Do not switch the
power to the cooktop off at the
wall while the fan is running.
P flashes in the display
when you are trying to
set PowerBoost.
PowerBoost is temporarily
unavailable because the cooktop
needs to protect itself from
overheating.
Allow the cooktop to cool
down.
