Usng cooktop
This section tells you how to successfully operate your cooktop
Choose the control knob for the burner you want to use Pressctown and turn the knob counter
clockwise to the Hi symbol (seebelow) All the igniters will spark until the gas ignites orsthe
selected burner

Adjusting the flame
The flame adjusts anywhere between the Hiand I o symbol Do not regulate the flame between
High and Off
Temperature control
Your cooktop offi'rs a wide range of temperature settings from delicate slow cookinc_to the
intense high temperatures needed for boiling and searing Asthe control knob isturned
clockwise, the heat isincreased
For general cooking purposes turn the control knob to the Hi setting to begin cooking or bring
lood to the boil and adjust asnecessary. Once your pan is hot, reduce the temperature to
maintain asteady heat to cook your food through This will reduce cooking times
Resultswill vary depencting on the type of pans used and the quantities being cooked, You
will need to experiment with the temperature settings to match your desired cooking result
Different types of cooking utensils will vary in efficiency

Auto re-ignition
Auto Rektnition isfor your conver_ience and safety The auto re i(_nition fi,ature causes the
ktniters to spark automatically if a flame blows out or if the flame is severeEydistorted by a draft
or a cooktop ventilatior_ system
Constant sparking

If the burner has inconsistent flame or does not light

for the gas to disperse before trying again

In the event of a power failure, turn all burner cot trol knobs to Off The burners can be lit by
holdir_ga Ii(_hted match close to the side of the burner and tuminc_the control knob to Hi Wait
until the flame is burning all the way around the burner cap before adjusting

the long slow simmering that is needed for

Using the skillet!griddle (GC912Monly)
o Your griddle will of#_ryou a quick, hot method of
cooking ideal for pancakes,vegetables and eggs
o Always use medium to high temperatures and
heat the griddle well befl,xe cooking on it. Oil the
lood lightly prior to cooking, not the griddle, to
avoid splattering and smoking.
Prolonged cooking may damage the griddle and the
cooktop, which could lead to control and wiring damage,
Seasoning Skillet/griddle before first use
Your new griddle comes with a finish which is intended to buns off with seasonir_g.The
seasonir_gprocess will naturally blacken the griddle

Cleaning your skillet/griddle

Use soapy water and a soft sponge or cloth to clean the cooktop, rinse with (lean water and
