• Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the toy.
• Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door with a
Phillips screwdriver.
• Lift to remove the battery compartment door.
• Remove the exhausted batteries from the battery compartment
and properly discard them.
• Insert three “AA”(LR6) alkaline batteries as indicated inside the
battery compartment.
Hint: We recommend using alkaline batteries for longer battery life.
• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw with
a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
• When sounds or lights from this toy become faint or stop working,
it's time for an adult to replace the batteries!
For best performance, we recommend replacing the batteries that
came with this toy with three, new “AA”(LR6) alkaline batteries.

A plastic tab was inserted in the back of this product for in-store demonstration
purposes. For best product performance, please be sure to completely remove this
tab and discard it properly.

• Do not mix old and
new batteries.
• Do not mix different types of
batteries: alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium).
• Remove the batteries during
long periods of non-use.
Always remove exhausted
batteries from the toy. Battery
leakage and corrosion can
damage this toy. Dispose of
batteries safely.
• Never short circuit the
battery terminals.
• Non-rechargeable batteries
are not to be recharged.
• Only batteries of the same or
equivalent type as
recommended in the "Battery
Replacement" instructions are
to be used.
• If removable rechargeable
batteries are used, they are
only to be charged under
adult supervision.
• Rechargeable batteries are
to be removed from the toy
before they are charged.
• If you use a battery charger,
it should be examined
regularly for damage to the
cord, plug, enclosure and
other parts. Do not use a
damaged battery charger until
it has been properly repaired.

• Locate the power/volume switch on the front of the toy.
• The switch has three positions: off •; on with low volume
and on with high volume

• Press the button for
voice mode.
• When baby places an
animal in the matching size
spot, a light flashes and
that animal sings its part
of a song.
• Place the other animals in
the matching spots and
they will sing together as
a chorus.
• When each animal is
removed from the toy, each
stops singing.
The Sparking Symphony™ Compose 'n Play Orchestra™ interacts with baby. It plays five classical
compositions and encourages baby to sort animal shaped characters in three different modes.
Instrument Mode
• Press the button for
instrument mode.
• When baby places an animal
in the matching size spot, a
light flashes and that animal
plays its part of a song on its
instrument.
• Place the other animals in
the matching spots and
all the animals play their
instruments together as
a band.
• When each animal is
removed from the toy, each
stops playing its instrument.
Voice and
Instrument Mode
• Press the button for
voice and instrument mode.
• When baby places an animal in
the matching size spot, a light
flashes and that animal plays
its instrument and sings.
• Place the other animals in their
matching spots to hear a
combination of voices and
instruments playing.
• When each animal is removed
from the toy, each stops
playing its instrument and
stops singing.
Hints:
• When there are no animals
in their spots you can press any
mode button to hear a musical
scale with flashing lights.
• If your child is not actively
playing with this toy, it turns off
automatically (sleep mode).
