Vor der Inbetriebnahme im
explosionsgefährdeten Bereich
Die Potentialausgleichsleiter (Masse-
kabel) an der dafür vorgesehenen
Schraube des explosionsgeschützten
Motors oder der Pumpe befestigen.
Ist der Motor mit der Pumpe leitfähig
verbunden, kann auf einen der beiden
Potentialausgleichsleiter
verzichtet werden.
Leitfähiger Schlauch
(siehe TRbF 131 Teil 2)
mit leitfähiger Einbindung der
Schlauchverschraubungen und
den angeschlossenen Armaturen.

Werden die Kollektormotoren zusammen mit der Pumpe betrieben,
ist ein umfassender und eindeutiger Potentialausgleich durchzuführen.
Als Potentialausgleich ist eine elektrisch leitende Verbindung zwischen
Motor und Pumpe nach EN 50 014:1994-03 Abschnitt 15 und DIN VDE
0165:1991-02 Abschnitt 5.3.3 herzustellen.
Die Fasspumpe so anordnen, dass keine Reib- und Schlagfunken
entstehen und die Betriebsbedingungen einen gefahrlosen Betrieb
gewährleisten.

Der leitfähige Untergrund muss im Potentialausgleichsystem
eingebunden sein. Ist kein leitfähiger Unergrund vorhanden,

Behältnisse zum leitfähigen Untergrund Farbe und Schmutz entfernen, um eine gute
Leitfähigkeit zu gewährleisten.

lMit Installationsarbeiten an Drehstrommotoren dürfen nur
Fachkräfte beauftragt werden.

Motorschutzschalter in Betrieb nehmen.
lDrehrichtung des Motors prüfen.
( Drehrichtung gemäß Drehrichtungspfeil am Motor ).
Bei ortsbeweglichem Einsatz von Drehstrommotoren
lVor dem Einstecken des Netzsteckers
Ein-/Aus-Schalter auf "0" ( Stop ) stellen.

lWenn die Mischöffnungen beim Pumpen oder Mischen
sich oberhalb des Flüssigkeitsspiegels befinden,
besteht Spritzgefahr.
Bei offenen Fässern oder Behältern entsprechende
Spritzschutzvorrichtungen anbringen.
lBeim Mischen nicht leitfähiger Flüssigkeiten,
besteht die Möglichkeit, daßdie umgewälzte Flüssigkeit
elektrostatisch aufgeladen wird.
Es ist darauf zu achten, daßdadurch bedingte
Zündgefahren nicht auftreten.

Reinigung nach jeder Benutzung
lPumpe nur bis zum Auslaufstutzen
in das Reinigungsmittel tauchen.
lPumpe und Schlauch müssen gegenüber dem
Reinigungsmittel beständig sein.
lKeine brennbaren Flüssigkeiten verwenden.
lBei Gegendruck den Motor nicht abnehmen.
Zuerst die Abfüllarmaturen entleeren.
Die Pumpe mit einem geeigneten Reinigungsmittel durchspülen.

(earth wires) to the designated screw
on the explosion-proof motor and pump.
If the connection between motor and
pump already provides a conductive
path, one of the earth continuity
conductors may be deleted.

swaged hose fittings to ensure
a conductive path for the pump,
hose and fittings.

The use of the commutator motor in combination with the pump requires
a complete and definite equipotential bonding. An equipotential bonding
consists in an electrically conductive connection between the motor and
the pump according to EN 50 014:1994-03 Paragraph 15 and DIN VDE
0165:1991-02 Paragraph 5.3.3.
The pump has to be arranged in a way that no friction and impinge
sparks form and that the operating conditions ensure safe operation.

The electrically conductive base ground has to be an integral part
of the equipotential bonding system. If a conductive base ground
is not available, earth continuity conductors have to be connected
to all barrels and containers.

ΩRemove paint and dirt from all connection points of earth continuity conductors and
containers to the electrically conductive base ground to ensure good conductivity.

lOnly use the pump for its intended purpose.
lNever leave the pump unattended.
lThe pump has to be used in vertical position only.
lWhen pumping liquids which contain solid particles
in suspension, a suction strainer must be used.
lInstall the pump in a way which ensures that it cannot
fall into the container.
lOnly use the pump with a suitable hose.
lEnsure that the hose is securely fixed to the hosetail.
lRegularly check motor, pump, hose and connections
to ensure safe operation.
lThe pump should not be immersed deeper into the liquid
than the outlet connection.
lComply with all relevant safety instructions.
Wear appropriate protective clothing.
(Face shield, protective gloves, etc.).
lComply with the operating instructions of the motor.
lNever operate the pump dry.
lThe pump should not be exposed to the weather.
lBefore removing the motor from the pump:
Completely drain pump, flexible hose and hand tap.
lClean after each operation.
lNever store the motor in areas in which corrosive
vapours exist.
lBefore inserting the electrical plug into the socket
or connecting the air supply hose to the air motor,
ensure that the Start/Stop switch is set to "0" ( Stop ).

lMake sure that the supply voltage corresponds to the voltage
indicated on the name plate. When using air motors, please
do not exceed the maximum operating pressure and always
usea filter-regulator-lubricator unit.
lPut the motor onto the pumps.
lNever operate the pump unless the union nut between
pump and motor has been firmly tightened by hand.
lImmerse the pump into the liquid and secure it in a
vertical position by the use of a compression gland
or a container clip.
lAlways check the power supply cable for damage
beforestarting operation.
lKeep solvents away from the power supply cable.
lBefore inserting the electrical plug into the socket
or connecting the air supply hose to the air motor,
ensure that the Start/Stop switch is set to "0" ( Stop ).
lInsert the plug or connect the air supply hose.
lSwitch on the motor.
lOn motors F 417 EL, F 457 EL, F 458 EL and F 460 Ex EL
the speed may be regulated by the adjustment knob
(control of delivery rate).
Starting Operation

lRepairs to three-phase gearmotors should only be carried
out by suitably qualified personnel.
lOnly use three-phase motors with a starter
including an overload cut-out.
lCheck direction of rotation of the motor.
( Direction of rotation according to the arrow on the motor ).
In case of portable use of three-phase motors:
lBefore inserting the electrical plug into the socket,
ensure that the Start/Stop switch is set to "0" ( Stop ).
lCheck direction of rotation when switching on the motor.
( Direction of rotation according to the arrow on the motor ).
lComply with additional safety instructions which are contained
with the terminal box of the three-phase gearmotor.
lBefore connecting the air supply hose to the motor,
set the Start/Stop switch to "0" (Stop).
( On model F 416 Ex unlock locking mechanism of the on/off operating trigger ).
lUse a silencer or an exhaust air hose.
lAir consumption F 416 Ex, F 416-1 Ex, F 416-2 Ex :

lWhen, during pumping and mixing operations,
the mixing openings are above the liquid level,
there is a risk of splash.
On open barrels and containers splash guards
must be installed.
lWhen mixing electrically non-conductive liquids
there is a risk that the circulated liquid will be
charged electrostatically.
Make sure that any ignition risk will be eliminated.

Cleaning after each operation
lThe pump should not be immersed into the
cleaning agent higher than the outlet connection.
lPump and hose must be compatible with the
cleaning agent.
lDo not use flammable liquids to clean the pump or motor.
lDo not separate the motor from the pump as long as
there is still any backpressure within the system.
First drain pump and discharge hose.
Clean the pump by flushing a appropriate cleaning agent.

wrench or a big screwdriver and unscrew the impellor.
