Paging
There are two ways to page using the microphone:
• By locking- Press, PTL (PUSH TO LOCK) .
a) To start paging press the TALK button.
If the chimes are activated wait for them to be activated.
NOTE: while the chimes are being broadcast “ ” Will be shown on the display.The LED TALK button
indicator will light up.
b) Talk through the microphone.
NOTE: the message will not be heard through the loudspeaker to avoid feedback. It is possible to
listen to the broadcast through the headphone output.
NOTE: while the microphone is open “ ” will be shown on the display
c) When paging has finished press the TALK button again.
The LED TALK button indicator will switch off.
If the chimes are activated wait for them to be broadcast.
NOTE: while the chimes are being broadcast “ ” will be shown on the display.
• By pressing- Push to talk, PTT (PUSH TO TALK).
a) To start paging press and keep pressing down the TALK button.
If the chimes are activated wait for them to be broadcast.

The LED TALK button indicator will light up.
b) Talk through the microphone (pressing down the TALK button continuously).
NOTE: the message will not be heard through the loudspeaker to avoid feedback .The broadcast can
be listened to through the headphone output .
NOTE: while the microphone is open “ ” will be shown on the display.
c) When paging has finished release the TALK button.
The LED TALK button indicator will switch off.
If the chimes are activated wait for them to be broadcast.
NOTE: while the chimes are being broadcast “ ” will be shown on the display.
Selecting messages
The messages are numbered 1 to 88.
To select a message enter the number using the numerical keypad (for example, press the number 1 or 01
to select the message 1), the number of the chosen message will appear on the LCD display (88 messages
máximum)
If you wish to play or pre-listen to a message that does not exist, the message number will flash on the
display.
If you wish to cancel the selection press the CANCEL/END button, wait and re-enter the message number.
Recor ing messages
The microphone MCH-221D has a recording capacity of 88 messages (numbered 1 to 88) or 60 minutes of
audio.The messages are recorded in a compressed MP3 format.Voice messages can be recorded using the
microphone, from an external audio source through the AUDIO IN input or both at the same time.
a) Select the message number.
b) Press the RECORD button
NOTE: if a message already exists with that number it will not be possible to record it. The display will
show “ ”. The message must be deleted before recording one with that number.
The LED recording indicator will stop flashing and remain lit.
Check on the LCD display that the number of the chosen message is correct.
