II Introduction

VI.Operation Method
1Power On/Off
Pressthe"Power On/Off"buttoninthepower-offstateto turniton.Pressthe"Power
On/Off"buttonin thepower-onstatetoturnitoff.
2Battery Voltage heck
After thepower is turnedon,iftheLCDdisplaysthebatteryvoltagelowsymbol
“ ”,itindicatesthatthebatteryis low,pleasereplace thebatteryintime.Thebattery
power is sufficienttoensure theaccuracyofthemeasurement.
3Varistor Test
Whenmeasuring,press the “TypeSelect”buttonto select “varistor”and clampthe
varistorunder test (asshownbelow).There aretwomodesto choosefromunder the
“varistor”type,namely “automaticmode”and “manualmode”,whichcanbeselectedby
pressingthe “modeselection”button.
Under the"automaticmode"test,you onlyneedto pressthe"starttest"buttonto
startthetest.Duringthetest,theword"in progress..."willbedisplayedinthelower right
corner.Whenthetest iscompleted,themessage"Testcompleted!"isdisplayed..If you
want tointerruptthetestprocessduringthetest,you canpress the"Exit"button to
interrupt thetest.
Under the “ManualMode”test,pressthe “VoltageSetting”buttonandpress the
“ ” or “ ” buttononthedirectionbuttontoadjust thevalueof “Limit Voltage”tobe
more than1.2timesthenominalvalueofthemeasuredvaristor.Pressthe(“ ” ,“ ”)

buttontoadd orsubtract1forshortpress,plus orminus 50forlong press,thenpressthe
"OK"button, thenpressthe"StartTest"buttontostartthetest.Thevoltagevaluewhenthe
currentshowsabout 1mA(1000 uA)istheU1mA value(breakdownvoltage),atthis point,
you canpress the “StartTest”button again to checktheleakagecurrentvalueofthe
varistorunder test.If you want to endthetest,you canpress the “Exit”buttonorpressthe
“StartTest”buttonwhenchecking thevaristorleakagecurrentvalue.
4Discharge Tube Test
Whenmeasuring,press the “TypeSelect”buttontoselectthetest typeas “Discharge
Tube”andclampthemeasureddischargetube(asshown).Press the “StartTest”button to
startthetest.Atthispoint,you cansee thatthevoltagevalueisrising.Whenthevoltage
valuestops,thetest iscompleted.Atthistime,thevoltageis theignition voltageofthe
testeddischargetube(DCbreakdownvoltage).

5Insulation Resistance Test
Whenmeasuring,press the “TypeSelect”buttontoselectthetest typeas “Insulation
Resistance”,and clampthemeasuredinsulationresistance likeclampthevaristoras
describedabove.Pressthe “StartTest”buttontostartthetest.Inthelower right corner of
thescreen,there is a “in progress...”message.Thetest willstopautomaticallyafter about
15 secondsfromthestartofthetest.If you wanttointerrupt thetest in advance,you can
press the “Exit”buttondirectly.
6Backlight ontrol
After bootingup,press andholdthe “Exit”buttontoenter thebacklightbrightness
adjustment page. Pressthe “ ” and “ ” arrowkeysto adjust thebacklightbrightness.
7Qualification Judgment Setting
After booting up,press the “OK”button to enter thequalificationjudgment mode.At
thistime,you canseethatthebottomtext boxonthescreenis flashing,indicatingthatthe
itemcanbeset.Pressthe" "or" "(shortpress plusorminus1whentheupper and
lower limits are adjusted,longpressplusorminus 50)toadjusttheparameters,pressthe
""or" "keyto changethecursorposition.Whenthequalificationjudgment stateis
adjustedto the"on"state,thequalification judgment canbeturnedon,otherwisethe
qualificationjudgment isturnedoff.Therightsideof"U:"isthejudgment voltagerange,
thevalueintheleftbox isthelower limit ofthejudgment,and theright istheupper limit
value.Whenthetest is completed,ifthemeasuredvoltageiswithinthisrange,itmeans
qualified.“Pass”willbedisplayedinthe “Status”box andthebuzzer will sound
once,otherwise, “Fail”is displayedand thebuzzer soundsthree times.Asshownbelow:
