interface.

Only the enabled video inputs can be accessed by switching through the interface’s video
sources.Itisrecommendedtoenableonlytherequiredinputs.So thedisabledinputswillbe
skippedwhileswitchingthroughthevideointerfacesinputs.

SetDipswitch4toONforAudi TTvehicles.ForallothervehiclesithastobesettoOFF.

IfsettoOFF,theinterface switchestofactoryLVDSpicturewhilethereversegearisengaged
todisplayfactoryrear-viewcameraorfactoryopticalparksystempicture.
IfsettoON,theinterfaceswitchestoitsrear-viewcamerainputwhilethereversegearis
engaged.
1.4.1.4.Monitorselection(Dip6-8)
Dips6-8customizethemonitor-specificvideosettings whichsometimesevenvarywithin
headunitsofthesameversion,causedbydifferentmonitorspecifications.Itisnecessaryto
tryallpossiblecombinationswhileaworkingvideosourceisconnectedtothechoseninput
oftheinterface.Oneofthesixcombinationswillshowthebestpicturesizeandquality
(some maygivenopicture).Itispossibletofirsthotplugthroughthedipcombinations.If
thereisnochangeofpicturevisibleaftertryingall6options,retryanddisconnectthe10pin
plugoftheQuadlockconnectorbetweeneverychangeofthedipsetting.

2. Installation
To install the interface, first switch off the ignition and disconnect the vehicle’s battery.
Please readtheowner`s manual ofthecar,regardingthebattery`s disconnection! If
required,enablethecar`s Sleep-mode(hibernationmode)
Incase thesleep-modedoes notsucceed,thedisconnectionofthebatterycanbedone
witharesistorlead.
Ifthenecessarystabilized powersupplyfortheinterface isnottakendirectlyfromthe
battery,thechosenconnectionhastobecheckedforbeingconstantlystabile.
Theinterface needsapermanent12Vsource!

2.4. Connectionand powersupplyforthevideointerface
Connect the interface cable’s female 20pin connector to the 20pin connector of the
interface and connecttheinterfacecable’s male 10pin connector to the female 10pin
connectorofthePNPharness
Connectthesingle,yellowwire“BATT” ofthePNPharnessto+12Vpermanentand
stabilepowersupply.
Connect the single, black wire “GND” of the PNP harness to the vehicle’s negative
ground.
IncaseofamissingCANcommunicationbetweenthevehicleandtheinterface,the
single,white-blackwireofthe20pininterface cablehastobeconnected
additionatelytoastabile+12V accessorypowersupply.
