Description

1-CONNECTINGTHETELEPHONE
- Connect the handset cord.
-Openthebatterycompartment.
Insert 4 alkaline batteries without mercury (Type
AAA1.5V,notsupplied)inthecompartment(*).Bat-
teriesarerequiredifyouwishtoincreasetheringer
level up to 10 dB.
Snap the battery door back in place.
- Connect the line cord plug to the line socket on
the base (*).
Connect the other end of the line cord to the
PTT socket. (*)
2-RINGER SETTINGS
A switch located on the upper side allows the
ringer to be switched HI,LOW,OFF:
: Off,
: Low,
: Hi
(*) Classified TNV-3 according to EN60950 standard.

Setting up
Your phone comes with the ringer switched to
«High» and the melody set to «6»:

Ifyoudon’tliketheringermelody,youcanchoose
anewonebychangingthesettingsasperinstruc-
tionsbelow:
- Lift the handset.
- Press button.
- Press # button.
- Press any of the 1 - 9 dial keys.
The new ringer settings will be activated with the
nextincomingcall.
Note: The ringer level will be increased up to 10
dB if you insert batteries.

3 - TONE/PULSE SWITCH (T/P)
The Tone/Pulse switch is factory pre-set to Tone
position (T). In UK, all telephone exchanges now
useTone dialling. If your phone does not dial out,
it is probably being used from an older private
switch- board (PBX). In this case, theTone/Pulse
switch must be moved to Pulse.
4 - TIME BREAK RECALL (TBR) SWITCH
For UK, the TBR switch should be set to 100 mS.

PBX’s.
Note: If you are using your CL1100
with a hearing aid, set your hearing
aid to “T” position.
5 - WALL MOUNTING
To wall-mount your telephone, slide out the clip,
turnandslidebackintothewallmountingposition

wallplugsandwallmountingscrews.Thescrews
should protrude from the wall by 6-7 mm. Place
thephoneontothescrew-headsandslidedownto

6 - DESK SUPPORT
Thephonecanbeusedontheflatpositionorraised
with the desk support. The desk support will give
you the best viewing angle.
Tofitthedesksupport,insertthetwoupperhooks
into the openings provided and push the support
firmlyhome.

1-RECEIVING VOLUME AND TONE
ADJUSTMENT
You can adjust the receiving volume and tone
accordingto yourown hearingrequirements.
The button allows extra volume and tone
functionstobeactivatedordeactivatedduringthe
conversation.
Tone and volume adjustment (15dB to 30dB) is
only activated when the switch located at the
upper side of your phone is set to ON. When this
buttonissettoOFFonlythevolumecanbeadjusted
from 0dB to 15dB.
Whenthefunctionisactivated,theredlightofextra
receiving and tone function button is lit.
Note:Whenthetone(treble),earpiecevolumeand
sending levels are set to the maximum, whistling
may occur. If whistling occurs the sending level
settingsshouldbedecreasedwiththeswitch .

Adjust the TONE and VOLUME buttons to fit the
levels to your own hearing requirements.
2- SENDING VOLUMELEVEL ADJUSTMENT
Ifyourvoiceisquietorcalledpartieshavedifficulty
hearing you, you can increase the sending level
volumewith theswitchlocatedontheupperside.

1-ANSWERINGINCOMINGCALLS
-Whenanincomingcallisreceivedthephonewill
ring and the incoming call indicator will flash. To
answer the call lift the handset and speak.
- On completion of the call, carefully replace the
handset in the cradle to release the line.
2 - MAKINGACALL
- Lift the handset.
-Await the dial tone and dial requirednumber.
- On completion of the call, carefully replace the
handset in the cradle.
3- LAST NUMBER REDIAL
- Lift the handset.
-Await the dial tone and press button.
-Apreviouslydialled number will be automaticaly
redialled(notinuseformemorynumbers).

4 - RECALL, * & # BUTTONS
Theseareusedwiththenewservicesprovidedon
digitalexchanges.Fordetailspleasecontactyour
network operator.
5- MUTEBUTTON
If you wish to speak privately to someone else in
theroomwithoutyourcalleroverhearing,pressand
holdthe button.Youwillstillbeabletohear the
callers but they cannot hear you during the mute
operation.Toresumenormalconversation,release
the button.
6-STORINGTELEPHONENUMBERS
Your telephone can store 9 direct memories.

Tostoreanumberpleasefollowinstructionsbelow:
- Lift the handset.
- Press button.
- Press M1, M2, ... M9 to locate the number.
-Dialthenumber.
- Press again button.
Numbers will be lost after few hours if you
disconnectyourphone.Enteringanewnumberin
the same location will automatically erase the
previousnumber.

1- RACCORDEMENTS
-Branchezlecordonducombiné.
- Ouvrez le compartiment à piles situé en des-
sous de votre téléphone.
Insérez4piles(typeAAA1.5Valkalines),nonfour-
nies dans le compartiment (*). Les piles sont né-
cessaires si vous désirez augmenter le niveau
de sonnerie de 10 dB.
Replacezle couvercle du compartiment àpiles.
- Branchez le cordon de ligne. (*)
2- REGLAGE DELA SONNERIE
Uncommutateursitué àl’arrièrede l’appareil
permet de régler la sonnerie:
: désactivée, : faible, : forte
Votretéléphoneestpositionnésursonnerie“forte”
par défaut.
