FUNCTIONS

For complicated surveying tasks: The instru-

ment is electronically self-levelling, has a visi-

ble horizontally rotating laser beam and four

vertical laser lines at 90° to each other, auto-

matic TILT-function, plumb down beam,varia-

ble scanning function, laser point function,

laser cross to ceiling, slope setting, remote

controlled.

OPERATION

Power supply

The unit comes with NiMH rechargeable

battery pack. Alternatively 4 x C Alkaline

batteries can be used. For pemanent use

connect power supply to socket (6) and use

rechargeable batteries as buffer.

Installation of batteries

Open the battery compartment cover (2)

and put in rechargeable battery pack or

4 x C Alkaline batteries. Take care to polarity.

Close cover. Before first use fully charge the

battery pack.

Instalarea bateriilor

Rotatia

If power indicator lamp is blinking (LED next-

to socket 6), connect power supply to socket

(6) and recharge battery pack. Charging time

is about 8 hours. For first time charging we

recommend to charge it for about 10 hours.

Max. operating time with rechargeable battery

pack: 5 - 20 hours.

Max. operating time with alkaline batteries:

8 - 30 hours (each depending on number of

laser diodes in use).

On/Off

Switch on unit with key . Key is blin-

ing and automatic self-levelling procedure is

working. During this process all keys are inac-

tive und until self-levelling process is comple-

ted.

Rotation

After self-levelling procedure unit rotates with

maximum speed. After 30 sec. TILT-function

automatically turns on (see p. 6).

Press key

shortly to change speed between 500 rpm/

min. and 200 rpm/min. Press key

long to switch off horizontal rotating laser.

Scanare

Scanning

Press key to switch from rotating to

scanning mode.With this key the scan range

can be changed in three steps: 60°, 30° and

5° as well as laser point mode.

With keys and the scan direction can

be changed counter-clockwise / clockwise.

Slope function

Slopes can be set up to ± 5° in X and Y

direction. Press key to enter the slope

function.

In that moment self-levelling mechanism is

disabled and the instrument enters the man-

ual mode. FL 1000 can now be tiltedby

useof a grademount . For change bet-

ween X and Y axis press button

shortly.

Respective indication lamps show the axis

chosen.

To tilt the axis chosen press keys

and . To quit the slope function press

key longer than 1 sec.

An acoustic alarm signal shows that unit is

out of self-levelling range and four laser lines

and scan point are blinking.

TILT function

If level of FL 1000 is disturbed the instrument

will readjust itsself (within the self-levelling

range of 5°). If level is disturbed at large

range (i.e. if position of tripod leg has been

changed by mistake) a height offset will be

caused. This will be avoided by TILT function

- the instrument will shut off even within the

self-levelling range: Switch on unit and wait

until self-levelling procedure is completed.

Press key to switch off TILT-func-

tion. To re-activate TILT function press key

If level is now disturbed the unit will not re-

adjust itself but stop rotating.

Stand-by-function

If stand-by-function is activated unit automa-

tically switches off after 30 min. of no key

use. Switch on again with remote control

only.

Line function

The laser lines can be switched on and off

independently from each other.

Press key and to switch on and

off the vertical lines. Press keys only

shortly. If both lines are switched on a laser

cross is projected to the ceiling.

Utilizarea Receptorului FR 10

Use of receiver FR 10

To prolong the working range FL 1000 can be

used with receiver FR 10 (supplied with).

Press key for 2 sec. FR 10 can now de-

tect the signal of FL 1000.

Lamp is lighting.

Press key again for 2 sec. to switch off

receiver mode.

Further information regarding use of recei-

ver please find on p. 8.

Functia Alarma

O alarma sonora indica faptul ca instrumentul

este in afara intervalului de autonivelare (± 5°),

Liniile Verticale si punctul laser clipesc in acelasi

timp.

Telecomanda

Nivela FL 1000 poate fi controlata de la distanta

cu telecomanda. Tastele de pe telecomanda sunt

identice cu cle de pe panoul de control.

Zona de actiune a telecomnzii este de max. 50 m.

Nota: Cand functia Stand-by este activata,

toate tastele sunt inactive - exceptie on/off

Alarm function

An audible alarm indicates the instrument was

set up outside of self-levelling range (± 5°).

Vertical lines and laser dot are blinking at the

same time.

Remote control

The FL 1000 can also be remote controlled.

The keys of the remote control are identical

to the keys of the instrument. The range of

the remote control is 50 m max.

Note: If stand-by-function is activated all keys

are inactive - except the on/off knob.

Aplicatii

Application

The FL 1000 can be run on an even surface,

on the floor mount supplied with as well as

on a tripod with 5/8“ connection. For this,

screw off floor tripod of the instrument.

Pentru a prelungi intervalul de lucru FL 1000

Accuracy fine / coarse

The FR 10 offers two accuracy steps for rota-

tion mode: fine and coarse. Press key (4) to

switch from fine to coarse.

Rotation mode / Line mode

By means of the on / off knob (6) the receiver

can be switched from rotation mode to line

mode. For this, press key shortly (long =

on / off).

Red lamp = detection of laser lines

Green lamp = detection of rotation laser

With the same key (4) - while line mode is

Verificare Precizie

Accuracy Check:

As shown in Fig. 1, make keypad side of the

instrument facing to the wall. Power on and

take the cross point of rotating laser line and

the vertical line on the wall as point A. Turn

the unit 180 degree, take the cross point of

rotating laser line and the vertical line on the

wall as point B. Measure the vertical distance

between point A and B. The result should not

be more then 2 mm. Otherwise the accuracy

is beyond tolerance and it needs to make

some adjustment at the service. Mark the

middle of point A and B as point O. As shown

in Fig. 2 make the side of the instrument ha-

ving the handle side facing to the wall, and

take the cross point of rotating laser line and

the vertical line on the wall as point C. Turn

the unit 180 degree again, and take the cross

point of the rotating laser line and the vertical

line on the wall as point D. Measure the verti-

cal distance between point O and points C, D.

If the vertical distance is more than 2 mm, it

means the accuracy is beyond tolerance and

it needs to make some adjustment at the ser-

vice.

Care and cleaning

Please handle measuring instruments with

care.

Clean with soft cloth only after any use. If

necessary damp cloth with some water: If

instrument is wet clean and dry it carefully.

Pack it up only if it is perfectly dry.

Transport in original container / case only.

Utilizare preconizata a instrumentului

Instrumentul emite raze laser vizibile, ce se

utilizeaza pentru diverse masuratori:

stabilire inaltimi, planuri orizontale si verticale,

unghiuri drepte, transfer puncte, etc.

Intended use of instrument

The instrument emits a visible laser beam in

order to carry out the following measuring

tasks (depending on instrument): Setting up

heights, horizontal and vertical planes, right

angles and plumbing points.

Instructiuni Siguranta

Safety instructions:

Please follow up instructions given in opera-

tors’ manual.

Do not stare into beam. Laser beam can lead

to eye injury. A direct look into the beam

(even from greater distance) can cause da-

mage to your eyes.

Do not aim laser beam at persons or animals.

The laser plane should be set up above eye

level of persons.

Use instrument for measuring jobs only.

Do not open instrument housing. Repairs

should be carried out by authorized work-

shops only. Please contact your local dealer.

Do not remove warning labels or safety

instructions.

Keep instrument away from children.

Do not use instrument in explosive environ-

ment.

înfiintat deasupra nivelului ochilor persoanelor.

Specific reasons for erroneous measuring

results

Measurements through glass or plastic win-

dows;

Dirty laser emitting windows.

After instrument has been dropped or hit.

Please check accuracy.

Large fluctuation of temperature: If instru-

ment will be used in cold areas after it has

been stored in warm areas (or the other way

round) please wait some minutes before car-

rying out measurements.

Clasificatie Laser Laser classification

The instrument is a laser class 3R laser pro-

duct according to DIN IEC 60825-1:2003-10.

The measuring tool should be operated by

persons who are familiar with the handling

of laser devices.

According to EN 60825-1, this includes,

among other things, the knowledge about

the biological effects of the laser to the eyes

and the skin as well as the correct use of

laser protection devies in order to avoid

dangers.

turer to the original purchaser to be free from

defects in material and workmanship under

normal use for a period of two (2) years from

During the warranty period, and upon proof

of purchase, the product will be repaired or

replaced (with the same or similar model at

manufacturers option), without charge for

either parts or labour.

In case of a defect please contact the dealer

where you originally purchased this product.

The warranty will not apply to this product if

it has been misused, abused or altered.

Without limiting the foregoing, leakage of the

battery, bending or dropping the unit are

is expected to carry out periodic checks of

the product’s accuracy and general perfor-

mance.
