Indroduzione
Introduction
Le morse della serie MULTIFLEX rappresentano un innovativo sistema modulare di serraggio in grado di sfruttare al massimo la capacità
della tavola della macchina e di aumentarne, di conseguenza, la produttività.
Il sistema è stato ideato per poter serrare contemporaneamente un notevole numero di pezzi sulla tavola della macchina
utensile, riducendo così notevolmente i tempi morti.
The MULTIFLEX series vises are a total new concept of modular clamping system able to maximize the machine table capacity
and thus to increase its productivity.
This system is designated for clamping several workpieces at the same time on the machine tool table, thus reducing tool
changeover times.

Istructions for a proper positioning
Le morse della serie MULTIFLEX possono essere posizionate orizzontalmente sulla tavola della macchina oppure in verticale su
cubi a croce. Il posizionamento e l’allineamento avviene tramite chiavette da 16 H7. Si può anche allineare la morsa tramite viti
calibrate, garantendo tolleranze centesimali. L’ancoraggio può avvenire tramite viti centrali o staffe laterali. E’ possibile collegare
di testa più morse senza variare il passo della rigatura sul corpo base; per esempio, 2 morse da 500 mm accostate testa-testa per
realizzare una morsa da 1000 mm. (Se le morse vengono allineate testa-ne,non è garantito l’allineamento).
Due morse parallele allineate tramite chiavetta centrale, viti calibrate o riferimenti laterali, mantengono lo stesso riferimento sulle
ganasce sse con tolleranza pari a 0,02 mm.
MULTIFLEX series vises can be aligned on the machine table horizontally or vertically mounted on columns or cross towers.
Accurate positioning and alignement within centesimal tollerances is made through 16 H7 longitudinal or crossway keys. It is also
possible to align the vise through calibrated ground screws. The clamping on the machine table can be made through screws from
the central groove or through side clamps. It is also possible to align longitudinally 2 vises from their head or the starting point of
the graduated scale in order to make a longer base, for example 2 vises 500m long can be matched head to head to reach 1000mm
total length. If the vises are aligned head to end the centesimal accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Two vises positioned parallel
aligned through central cross keys or Ground screws or side lateral reference points guarantee the same reference and alignement
on the xed jaw section (positioning wedge) with accuracy within 0,02 mm.

Al ricevimento della stessa vericare che il contenuto corrisponda alle speciche d'ordine e che non vi siano stati danneggiamenti
dovuti al trasporto. Nell’imballo, oltre alla morsa, dovete trovare:
- 1 ganascia ssa, 4 ganasce sse-mobili - 1 chiave a T, 2 tasselli di posizionamento - 4 arresti laterali - Il presente manuale

supplied by Gerardi as accessories, is possible only after Gerardi approval.

Uso di ganasce speciali
Use of special jaws
In caso di utilizzo di ganasce speciali bisogna osservare le seguenti regole:
- Utilizzare ganasce quanto più basse possibili. Il punto di serraggio deve essere quanto più vicino all’alloggiamento
per poter mantenere una corretta forza di serraggio
- Per punti di serraggio molto alti la forza di serraggio diminuisce,
- Non utilizzare ganasce saldate
In case of use of special jaws, it is essential to follow these rules:
- Use jaws as low as possible. The clamping point must be as close as possible to the seat in order to ensure the
correct clamping force.
- In case of high clamping points, the clamping force decreases.
- Do not use welded jaws

Avvertenze di sicurezza
Safety information
ATTENZIONE
Pericolo di lesioni al personale di esercizio in caso di mancato serraggio del pezzo e successiva
proiezione dello stesso per superamento dei dati tecnici!
- I dati tecnici delle morse Multiex non devono mai essere superati in caso di utilizzo.
- La morsa può essere utilizzata solo su macchine ed attrezzature che soddisfano i requisiti minimi della Direttiva
Macchine 2006/42/CE ed in particolare devono disporre di tutte le protezioni di sicurezza previste contro possibili
proiezioni di residui di lavorazione.
ATTENZIONE
Pericolo di lesioni per l’eventuale caduta della morsa o delle ganasce durante il trasporto, l’installazione
o la rimozione!
- Assicurarsi che la morsa e le ganasce non cadano durante il trasporto, l’installazione o la rimozione.
- Utilizzare gli appositi mezzi di sollevamento per il trasporto della morsa in funzione del peso.
- Installare la morse Standard solamente su macchine provviste delle connessioni adatte.
PRUDENZA
Rischio di schiacciamento derivante dall’apertura e dalla chiusura delle ganasce della morsa durante il
caricamento e lo scaricamento manuale del pezzo da lavorare!
- Non avvicinare le mani in mezzo alle ganasce della morsa.
- Utilizzare i dispositivi di sicurezza individuale (DPI).
- Si consiglia l’utilizzo di un caricamento automatico dei particolari.
PRUDENZA
Rischio di ustioni dovute alle alte temperature raggiunte dai particolari lavorati
- Utilizzare guanti protettivi durante la rimozioni dei particolari.
- Si consiglia l’utilizzo di un caricamento automatico dei particolari.
WARNING
Risk of personnel injuries in case of incorrect clamping of the work-piece and/or failure in respecting
the technical parameters of the vise!
- Technical data of the Multiex vises must never be exceeded.
- The vise must be mounted on machines and xtures that satisfy the requirements of 2006/42/CE regulations and
must be equipped with all safety devices against the possibility of reject material projections.
WARNING
Risk of personnel injuries in case of fall of the vise or jaws during transportation, installation or removal!
- Ensure that the vise and jaws do not fall during transportation, installation or removal.
- Use the proper lifting means for the transportation of the vise, according to its weight..
- Install the Standard vises on machine with proper connections only.
CAUTION
Crush hazard by opening/closing of the jaws during manual loading/downloading of the work-piece!
- Do not put the hands within the jaws.
- Always use Individual Safety devices.
- The automatic loading of the work-piece is suggested.
CAUTION
Burn hazard by high temperatures of the work-pieces.
- Use protective gloves during the removal of the work-pieces.

Come serrare il pezzo
How to clamp a workpiece
Per serrare correttamente il pezzo è consigliabile utilizzare una chiave dinamometrica da regolare in base al tipo di morsa e alla
forza che si vuole ottenere.
In order to clamp the work-piece in the most proper way it is recommended the use of a torque wrench to be adjusted
according to the vise type and the clamping power desired or needed.

- Art.600 Il serraggio è dato da una ganascia discendente su piano inclinato.
Ha ganasce semplici e COMPATTE è ideale per il serraggio di pezzi in appoggio
sulla base (senza forature passanti).
- Art. 600 clamping is made with a pull down jaw on a inclined plane.
It is provided with basic and COMPACT jaws and is perfect for clamping of
workpieces laying on the base (without through-holes)
- Art.606 Il serraggio avviene tramite spostamento orizzontale della ganascia mobile.
Ideale per il serraggio di pezzi sollevati (con forature passanti) è la più versatile
grazie alle varie piastrine riportate disponibili.
- Art. 606 clamping is made by means of the horizontal slipping of the movable jaw.
It is perfect to clamp raised workpieces (with through holes). It is the most adaptable,
thank to the various specic interchangeable jaw plates available for this vise.
- Art.611 Il serraggio contemporaneo di due pezzi avviene tramite lo spostamento
orizzontale dei due cunei. Ha ganasce SUPER COMPATTE è ideale per il serraggio
di pezzi sia in appoggio sulla base che sollevati.
- Art. 611 clamping is made by means of the horizontal slipping of its 2 wedges.
It is provided with ULTRA COMPACT jaws and is perfect for clamping of both
laying on the base or raised workpieces

Operazioni per un corretto serraggio dei pezzi
Actions for the best work-piece clamping
1 - Assicurarsi che la ganascia ssa Art.604 sia correttamente posizionata sul
corpo base e ssarla serrando le viti Art.604C (pag. 12).
2 - Posizionare la ganascia mobile Art.605 sullo slittone lasciando circa 2 mm
di aria rispetto al pezzo da serrare avendo cura di tenere il cuneo di spinta
Art.605B (parte discendente) della ganascia a lo del cuneo di posiziona
mento Art.605A (parte ssa) e ssare serrando le viti Art.604C. (pag.12)
3 - Posizionare il pezzo da serrare tenendolo premuto contro lo slittone e la
ganascia ssa Art.604 (Fig. 1).
4 - Serrare il pezzo azionando in senso orario la vite 605E (pag.12) del cuneo
di spinta Art. 605B (Fig.2)
1 - Make sure the xed jaw Art.604 is well positioned on the vise base and
clamp it using the screw Art.604C (page 12).
2 - Position the movable jaw Art.605 on the vise base leaving about 2 mm space with respect to the work-piece to be clamped making
sure to keep the clamping wedge Art.605B (movable part which can run up and down) at the same high of the positioning wedge
Art.605A (xed part of the mova ble jaw) and x this positioning wedge using Art.604C (page 12).
3 - Position the work-piece holding it pushed against the vise base and the xed jaw Art.604 (Pic.1).
4 - Clamp the work-piece turning clockwise the Art.605E screw (page 12) of the clamping wedge Art.605B (Pic. 2).

Operazioni per un corretto serraggio dei pezzi
Actions for the best work-piece clamping
1 - Assicurarsi che la ganascia ssa Art. 608 sia correttamente posizionata sul corpo base e ssarla serrando le viti 604C (pag. 14).
2 - Posizionare la ganascia mobile Art.609 sullo slittone lasciando circa 2 mm di aria rispetto al pezzo da serrare, avendo cura di
tenere il cuneo di spinta Art.605B (parte discendente) della ganascia a lo del cuneo di posizionamento Art.609A (parte ssa) e
ssare serrando le viti 604C (pag. 14).
3 - Posizionare il pezzo da serrare, tenendolo in appoggio sui gradini della ganascia ssa 608A e mobile con gradino 609B (Fig. 3).
1 - Make sure the xed jaw Art.608 is well positioned on the vise base and clamp it using the screw Art.604C (page 14).
2 - Position the movable jaw Art.609 on the vise base leaving about 2 mm space with respect to the work-piece to be clamped
making sure to keep the clamping wedge Art.605B (movable part which can run up and down) at the same high of the positioning
wedge Art.609A (xed part of the movable jaw) and x this positioning wedge using Art.604C (page 14).
3 - Position the work-piece holding it pushed against the xed jaw step Art.608 and the intermediate movable jaw step Art.609B (Pic. 3).
4 - Serrare il pezzo azionando in senso orario la vite 605E (pag. 8) del cuneo discendente Art.605B (Fig. 4).
4 - Clamp the work-piece turning clockwise the Art.605E screw (page 8) of the clamping wedge Art.605B (Pic.4).

Operazioni per un corretto serraggio dei pezzi
Actions for the best work-piece clamping
1 - Posizionare la ganascia mobile di spinta Art.613 tra due ganasce sse, Art. 604G avendo cura di lasciare 1 mm di aria rispetto ai
pezzi da serrare.
2 - Assicurarsi che le ganasce sse siano correttamente posizionate e ssate agendo sulle viti 604C (pag. 10).
3 - Posizionare i pezzi da serrare, uno a sinistra e uno a destra della ganascia mobile di spinta, avendo cura di tenerli in battuta
contro il corpo base e le ganasce sse Art.604G (pag. 16).
1 - Position the movable jaw Art.613 on the vise base between 2 xed jaws Art.604G leaving 1 mm space with respect to the
work-pieces to be clamped
2 - Make sure that the xed jaws Art.604G are well positioned on the vise base and then clamp through the screw Art.604C
(page16).
3 - Position the work-pieces one on the left and one on the right side of the movable jaw holding them pushed against the vise base
and the xed jaws Art.604G (Pic. 5).
4 - Serrare il pezzo agendo in senso orario sulla vite 613D (pag. 10) del cuneo di spinta Art. 613B (Fig. 6)
4 - Clamp the 2 work-pieces turning clockwise the Art.613D screw (page 10) of the clamping wedge Art.613B (Pic.6).
