Specication
WARNING: Always wear ear protection where the sound level exceeds 85dB(A) and limit the
time of exposure if necessary. If sound levels are uncomfortable, even with ear protection,
stop using the tool immediately and check the ear protection is correctly tted and provides
the correct level of sound attenuation for the level of sound produced by your tool.
WARNING: User exposure to tool vibration can result in loss of sense of touch, numbness,
tingling and reduced ability to grip. Long term exposure can lead to a chronic condition. If
necessary, limit the length of time exposed to vibration and use anti-vibration gloves. Do not
operate the tool with hands below a normal comfortable temperature, as vibration will have
a greater effect. Use the gures provided in the specication relating to vibration to calculate
the duration and frequency of operating the tool.
Sound and vibration levels in the specication are determined according to EN60745 or
similar international standards. The gures represent normal use for the tool in normal
working conditions. A poorly maintained, incorrectly assembled, or misused tool, may produce

General Safety
WARNING: Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings
and instructions may result in electric shock, re and/or serious injury.
WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced, physical or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or
battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
1) Work Area Safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust
or fumes
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control
2) Electrical Safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not
use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodied plugs and
matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators,
ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is
earthed or grounded
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the
power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged
or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor
use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current
device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock
3) Personal Safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a
power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the inuence of
drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may
result in serious personal injury
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective
equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used
for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before
connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
Carrying power tools with your nger on the switch or energising power tools that have the
switch on invites accidents
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or
a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better
control of the power tool in unexpected situations
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be
caught in moving parts
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection
facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can
reduce dust-related hazards
4) Power Tool Use & Care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The
correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool
that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power
tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage
of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If
damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained power tools
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these
instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be
performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result
in a hazardous situation
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Sander Polisher Safety
a) This power tool is intended to function as a sander, wire brush, polisher tool. Read
all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specications provided with the
power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, re
and/or serious injury.
b) Operations such as grinding or cutting-off are not recommended to be performed
with this power tool. Operations for which the power tool was not designed may create a
hazard and cause personal injury.
c) Do not use accessories which are not specically designed and recommended by
the tool manufacturer. Just because the accessory can be attached to your power tool it
does not assure safe operation.
d) The rated speed of the accessory must be at least equal to the maximum speed
marked on the power tool. Accessories running faster than their rated speed can break
and y apart.
e) The outside diameter and the thickness of your accessory must be within the
capacity rating of your power tool. Incorrectly sized accessories cannot be adequately
guarded or controlled.
f) The arbour size of wheels, anges, backing pads or any other accessory must
properly t on the spindle of your power tool. Accessories with arbour holes that do
not match the mounting hardware of the power tool will run out of balance, vibrate
excessively and may cause loss of control.
g) Do not use a damaged accessory. Before each use inspect the accessory such as
abrasive wheels for chips and cracks, backing pad for cracks, tear or excess wear,
wire brush, wire, wire brush for loose or cracked wires. If power tool or accessory
is dropped, inspect for damage or install an undamaged accessory. After inspecting
and installing an accessory, position yourself and bystanders away from the plane
of the rotating accessory and run the power tool at maximum no-load speed for one
minute. Damaged accessories will normally break apart during this test time.

h) Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on application, use faceshield,
safety goggles or safety glasses. As appropriate, wear dust mask, hearing
protectors, gloves and workshop apron capable of stopping small abrasive or
workpiece fragments. The eye protection must be capable of stopping ying debris
generated by various operations. The dust mask or respirator must be capable of ltrating
particles generated by your operation. Prolonged exposure to high intensity noise may
cause hearing loss.
i) Keep bystanders a safe distance away from the work area. Anyone entering the
work area must wear personal protective equipment. Fragments of workpiece or of a
broken accessory may y away and cause injury beyond immediate area of operation.
j) Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces only, when performing an
operation where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Cutting accessory contact a ‘live’ wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool
‘live’ and could give the operator an electric shock.
k) Position the cord clear of the spinning accessory. If you lose control, the cord may be
cut or snagged and your hand or arm may be pulled into the spinning accessory.
l) Never lay the power tool down until the accessory has come to a complete stop.
The spinning accessory may grab the surface and pull the power tool out of your control.
m) Do not run the power tool while carrying it at your side. Accidental contact with the
spinning accessory may snag your clothing, pulling the accessory into your body.
n) Regularly clean the power tool’s vents. The motor’s fan will draw the dust inside the
housing and excessive accumulation of powdered metal may cause electrical hazards.
o) Do not operate the power tool near ammable materials. Sparks could ignite these
materials.
p) Do not use accessories that require liquid coolants. Using water or other liquid
coolants may result in electrocution or shock.
Kickback and Related Warnings
Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched or snagged rotating wheel, backing pad, brush
or any other accessory. Pinching or snagging causes rapid stalling of the rotating accessory
which in turn causes the uncontrolled power tool to be forced in the direction opposite of the
accessory’s rotation at the point of the binding.
For example, if an abrasive wheel is snagged or pinched by the workpiece, the edge of the
wheel that is entering into the pinch point can dig into the surface of the material causing the
wheel to climb out or kick out. The wheel may either jump toward or away from the operator,
depending on direction of the wheel’s movement at the point of pinching. Abrasive wheels
may also break under these conditions.
Kickback is the result of power tool misuse and/or incorrect operating procedures or
conditions and can be avoided by taking proper precautions as given below.
a) Maintain a rm grip on the power tool and position your body an arm to allow
you to resist kickback forces. Always use auxiliary handle, if provided, for
maximum control over kickback or torque reaction during start up. The operator can
control torque reactions or kickback forces, if proper precautions are taken.
b) Never place your hand near the rotating accessory. Accessory may kickback over
your hand.
c) Do not position your body in the area where power tool will move if kickback
occurs. Kickback will propel the tool in the direction opposite to the wheel’s movement at
the point of snagging.
d) Use special care when working corners, sharp edges etc. Avoid bouncing and
snagging the accessory. Corners, sharp edges or bouncing have a tendency to snag the
rotating accessory and cause loss of control or kickback.
e) Do not attach a saw chain woodcarving blade or toothed saw blade. Such blades
create frequent kickback and loss of control.
Safety Warnings Specic for Sanding Operations
a) Do not use excessively oversized sanding disc paper. Follow manufacturer’s
recommendations, when selecting sanding paper. Larger sanding paper extending
beyond the sanding pad presents a laceration hazard and may cause snagging, tearing of
the disc or kickback.
Safety Warnings Specic for Polishing Operations
a) Do not allow any loose portion of the polishing bonnet or its attachment strings
to spin freely. Tuck away or trim any loose attachment strings. Loose and spinning
attachment strings can entangle your ngers or snag on the workpiece.
Safety Warnings Specic for Wire Brushing Operations
a) Be aware that wire bristles are thrown by the brush even during ordinary operation.
Do not overstress the wires by applying excessive load to the brush. The wire
bristles can easily penetrate light clothing and/or skin.
b) If the use of the guard is recommended for wire brushing, do not allow any
interference of the wire wheel or brush with the guard. Wire wheel or brush may
expand in diameter due to work load and centrifugal forces.

Intended Use
Multipurpose orbital polishing machine with 6-stage speed control and soft start. For light-to-
medium duty polishing and sanding tasks, using suitable polishing bonnets, compounds and
hook and loop sanding discs
Unpacking Your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your new tool. Familiarise yourself with all its features and
functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing
or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool

Before Use
WARNING: Ensure the tool is disconnected from the power supply before attaching or
changing any accessories, or making any adjustments.
Handle assembly
1. Fit the Front Handle (4) over the Handle Mounts (10)
2. Fasten into place using the Hex Bolts (9) provided
Note: The Front Handle position can be altered by loosening the Hex Bolts, moving the
handle into the desired position, and retightening the Hex Bolts.
Fitting bonnets, polishing sponges and discs
• The Hook and Loop Polishing Sponge (1) and other sanding/polishing accessories, such
as 150mm Hook & Loop Sanding Disks (not included) can be pressed onto the face of the
Hook and Loop Backing Pad (2)
• Slowly pull the tted attachment off the hook and loop backing pad to remove
Note: Always make sure both hook and loop surfaces are free of dirt and debris prior to
attaching any items (also see remarks in the ‘Maintenance’ section).
Operation
WARNING: ALWAYS wear eye protection, adequate respiratory and hearing protection,
as well as suitable gloves, when working with this tool.
Switching on and off
WARNING: Never switch the tool on or off when it is in contact with the workpiece. This
can cause serious injury to the operator and will signicantly shorten the service life of the
On/Off Switch (5).
1. Connect the machine to the mains power supply
2. To start the machine, move the On/Off Switch (5) forwards into the ‘I’ position. The motor
will start and take a few moments to reach full operating speed
3. To stop the machine, move the On/Off Switch back into the ‘O’ position
Adjusting the tool speed
• The speed of the machine is controlled using the Variable Speed Dial (9): a higher number
indicates a higher speed setting
• The operating speed needs to be manually set with the tool off. Restart the tool after
setting the speed using the Variable Speed Dial to perform operations at the newly
determined speed
WARNING: Always set the speed control dial to the correct speed for the task at hand.
WARNING: Never exceed the maximum speed of the installed accessory.
Polishing tips
• Ensure the area to be polished is clean and dry
• Choose only polishing compounds that are compatible with the material to be polished,
and with the method of application. Read and understand all information supplied with your
polishing compound before use
• If using polishing sponges, apply polishing compound evenly to the polishing sponge and
place the sponge against the work surface
• Hold the machine securely, using both hands, by the handles provided. The polishing
sponge should make only light contact with the work surface
• Switch on the machine, and work across the surface using a wide 'sweeping' motion. Stop
and apply extra compound as required
• When the entire surface has been covered, stop the machine and allow the compound to
dry (follow manufacturer’s guidance)
• Attach a clean polishing bonnet to the machine and work across the surface as before,
until all visible polishing compound is removed
Sanding tips
WARNING: This machine is primarily designed as a polishing tool. It is suitable for light duty
sanding tasks, e.g. ne sanding as a preparation to polishing, but it has not been designed to
remove large amounts of material. Use a different type of sander, e.g. a belt sander, should
this be required.
WARNING: NEVER use this machine for wet sanding.
WARNING: ALWAYS use adequate respiratory protection when sanding.
• Allow the machine to reach the required speed before bringing the sanding paper into
contact with the workpiece
• Start with a coarse grit paper, and work through progressively ner grit papers until the
desired nish is achieved
• Apply only moderate pressure to the sander. Pressing too hard onto the work surface may
overheat the motor or damage the work surface
• Sand evenly over the work surface. The machine works in a rotary motion so it is not
necessary to work with the grain
• Only use the sander 'at on' to the work. Tilting the sander onto its edge will damage the
workpiece

Maintenance
WARNING: ALWAYS disconnect from the power supply before carrying out any
inspection, maintenance or cleaning.
General inspection
• Regularly check all the xing screws are tight
• Inspect the supply cord of the tool, prior to each use, for damage or wear. Repairs should
be carried out by an authorised GMC service centre. This advice also applies to extension
cords used with this tool
Cleaning
• Keep the tool clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly, and
shorten the machine’s service life. Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush, or dry
cloth. If available, use clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes
• Clean the tool casing with a soft damp cloth using a mild detergent. Do not use alcohol,
petrol or strong cleaning agents
• Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts
Lubrication
• Slightly lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals with a suitable spray lubricant
Brushes
• Over time the carbon brushes inside the motor may become worn
• Excessively worn brushes may cause loss of power, intermittent failure, or visible sparking
• If you suspect that the brushes may be worn, have them replaced at an authorised GMC
service centre

• Store this tool carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children
Disposal
Always adhere to national regulations when disposing of power tools that are no longer
functional and are not viable for repair.

gehoorbescherming is noodzakelijk.
Specicaties
WAARSCHUWING: Bij een geluidsintensiteit van 85 dB(A) of hoger is het dragen van
gehoorbescherming en het limiteren van de blootstellingstijd vereist. Bij oncomfortabel
hoge geluidsniveaus, zelfs met het dragen van gehoorbescherming, stopt u het gebruik
van de machine onmiddellijk. Controleer de pasvorm en het geluiddempingsniveau van de
bescherming.
WAARSCHUWING: Blootstelling aan trilling resulteert mogelijk in gevoelloosheid, tinteling en
een vermindert gripvermogen. Langdurige blootstelling kan leiden tot chronische condities.
Limiteer de blootstellingsduur en draag anti-vibratie handschoenen. Vibratie heeft een grotere
invloed op handen met een temperatuur lager dan een normale, comfortabele temperatuur.
Maak gebruik van de informatie in de specicaties voor het bereken van de gebruiksduur en
frequentie van de machine.
Geluid- en trillingsniveaus in de specicatie zijn vastgesteld volgens EN60745 of een
gelijksoortige internationale norm. De waarden gelden voor een normaal gebruik in normale
werkomstandigheden. Een slecht onderhouden, onjuist samengestelde of onjuist gebruikte
machine produceert mogelijk hogere geluids- en trillingsniveaus. www.osha.europa.eu biedt
informatie met betrekking tot geluids- en trillingsniveaus op de werkplek wat mogelijk nuttig is
voor regelmatige gebruikers van machines.

c) Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat niet per ongeluk wordt gestart. Controleer of de
schakelaar in de ‘uit’ stand staat voordat u de stekker in het stopcontact steekt.
Het dragen van elektrisch gereedschap met uw vinger op de schakelaar of het aansluiten
op de stroom van elektrisch gereedschap met de schakelaar ingeschakeld kan tot
ongelukken leiden.
d) Verwijder alle stel- of moersleutels voordat u het elektrische gereedschap
inschakelt. Een moer- of stelsleutel die zich op een draaiend onderdeel van het
elektrische gereedschap bevindt, kan leiden tot letsel.
e) Reik niet te ver. Blijf altijd stevig en in balans staan. Zo houdt u meer controle over het
elektrische gereedschap in onverwachte situaties.
f) Draag geschikte kleding. Draag geen loshangende kleding of sieraden. Houd haren,
kleding en handschoenen uit de buurt van bewegende delen. Loshangende kleding,
sieraden en los hangende haren kunnen vast komen te zitten in bewegende delen.
g) Als er onderdelen voor stofafvoer- en stofverzameling worden meegeleverd, sluit
deze dan aan en gebruik deze op de juiste wijze. Het gebruik van deze onderdelen kan
het risico op stof gerelateerde ongelukken verminderen.
4) Gebruik en verzorging van elektrisch gereedschap
a) Forceer elektrisch gereedschap niet. Gebruik elektrisch gereedschap dat geschikt
is voor het werk dat u wilt uitvoeren. Geschikt elektrisch gereedschap werkt beter en
veiliger op een passende snelheid.
b) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap niet als de schakelaar van het apparaat niet
in- en uitschakelt. Elektrisch gereedschap dat niet bediend kan worden met de
schakelaar is gevaarlijk en moet gerepareerd worden.
c) Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u instellingen aanpast, toebehoren
verwisselt of het elektrische gereedschap opbergt. Dergelijke voorzorgsmaatregelen
verminderen het risico op het per ongeluk starten van het elektrische gereedschap.
d) Berg elektrisch gereedschap dat niet in gebruik is op buiten bereik van kinderen
en laat mensen die niet bekend zijn met het elektrische gereedschap of met deze
instructies het elektrische gereedschap niet bedienen. Elektrisch gereedschap is
gevaarlijk in de handen van onervaren gebruikers.
e) Onderhoud uw elektrisch gereedschap. Controleer op foutieve uitlijning of het
vastslaan van bewegende delen, gebroken onderdelen en elke andere afwijking
die de werking van het elektrische gereedschap zou kunnen beïnvloeden. Indien
het elektrische gereedschap beschadigd is, moet u het laten repareren voordat u
het weer gebruikt. Veel ongelukken worden veroorzaakt door slecht onderhouden
elektrisch gereedschap.
f) Houd snijwerktuigen scherp en schoon. Goed onderhouden snijwerktuigen met
scherpe messen slaan minder snel vast en zijn gemakkelijker te bedienen.
g) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap, de accessoires en onderdelen, etc. volgens
deze instructies en volgens bestemming voor het specieke type elektrisch
gereedschap, en houd daarbij rekening met de werkomstandigheden en het uit te
voeren werk. Gebruik van elektrisch gereedschap voor werkzaamheden die verschillen
van die waarvoor het apparaat bestemd is, kan leiden tot gevaarlijke situaties.
5) Onderhoud
a) Laat uw elektrische gereedschap onderhouden door een gekwaliceerde vakman
en gebruik alleen identieke vervangstukken. Zo bent u er zeker van dat de veiligheid
van het elektrische gereedschap gewaarborgd blijft.
Algemene veiligheid voor elektrisch gereedschap
WAARSCHUWING Lees alle bediening- en veiligheidsvoorschriften. Het niet opvolgen
van alle voorschriften die hieronder vermeld staan, kan resulteren in een elektrische schok,
brand en/of ernstig letsel.
WAARSCHUWING: De machine is niet geschikt voor gebruik door personen met een
verminderde mentale of fysieke gesteldheid of een gebrek aan ervaring, tenzij de persoon
wordt begeleid of geïnstrueerd door een persoon verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid
Bewaar deze voorschriften voor toekomstig gebruik.
De term “elektrisch gereedschap” in alle hieronder vermelde waarschuwingen heeft
betrekking op uw elektrische gereedschap dat op de stroom is aangesloten (met een snoer)
of met een accu wordt gevoed (snoerloos).
Kinderen mogen niet met de machine spelen
1) Veiligheid in de werkruimte
a) Houd de werkruimte schoon en zorg voor een goede verlichting. Rommelige en
donkere ruimtes leiden vaak tot ongelukken.
b) Werk niet met elektrisch gereedschap in explosieve omgevingen, bijvoorbeeld in
de aanwezigheid van ontvlambare vloeistoffen, gassen of stof. Elektrisch
gereedschap brengt vonken teweeg die stof of dampen kunnen doen ontbranden.
c) Houd kinderen en omstanders uit de buurt wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap
bedient. Door aeiding kunt u de controle over het gereedschap verliezen.
2) Elektrische veiligheid
a) De stekkers van het elektrische gereedschap moeten passen bij het stopcontact.
Pas de stekker niet aan. Gebruik geen adapterstekkers bij geaard elektrisch
gereedschap. Het gebruik van ongewijzigde stekkers en passende stopcontacten
vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.
b) Vermijd lichamelijk contact met geaarde oppervlakken zoals pijpen, radiatoren,
fornuizen en koelkasten. Het risico op een elektrische schok neemt toe als uw lichaam
geaard wordt.
c) Laat elektrisch gereedschap niet nat worden. Wanneer elektrisch gereedschap nat
wordt, neemt het risico op een elektrische schok toe.
d) Beschadig het snoer niet. Gebruik het snoer nooit om het elektrisch gereedschap te
dragen, te trekken of om de stekker uit het stopcontact te trekken. Houd het snoer
uit de buurt van hitte, olie, scherpe randen of bewegende delen. Een beschadigde of
in de knoop geraakte snoer verhoogt het risico op een elektrische schok toe.
e) Wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap buiten gebruikt, maak dan gebruik van een
verlengsnoer dat geschikt is voor gebruik buitenshuis. Gebruik een verlengsnoer dat
geschikt is voor gebruik buitenshuis om het risico op een elektrische schok te
verminderen.
f) Indien het onvermijdelijk is elektrisch gereedschap te gebruiken in een vochtige
omgeving, gebruik dan een energiebron met een aardlekschakelaar (Residual
Currency Device). Het gebruik van een RCD vermindert het risico op een elektrische
schok.
3) Persoonlijke veiligheid
a) Blijf alert en gebruik uw gezonde verstand wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap
bedient. Gebruik het elektrisch gereedschap niet wanneer u vermoeid bent of onder
invloed bent van drugs, alcohol of medicijnen. Onoplettendheid tijdens het bedienen
van elektrisch gereedschap kan leiden tot ernstig letsel.
b) Maak gebruik van persoonlijke bescherming. Draag altijd een veiligheidsbril.
Passende bescherming voor de omstandigheden, zoals een stofmasker, niet-slippende
veiligheidsschoenen een helm of gehoorbescherming, vermindert het risico op persoonlijk
letsel.

Schuur-/polijstmachine veiligheid
a) De machine is te gebruiken als schuurmachine, draadborstel machine of
polijstmachine. Lees alle veiligheidsvoorschriften, instructies, waarschuwingen
en specicaties. Wanneer u onderstaande veiligheidsinformatie niet opvolgt is brand,
elektrische schok en persoonlijk letsel mogelijk het gevolg
b) De machine dient niet gebruikt te worden voor slijp- en snijwerkzaamheden. Het
gebruik voor doeleinden waarvoor de machine niet bestemd is resulteert mogelijk in
ernstig persoonlijk letsel
c) Gebruik geen accessoires die niet speciek ontworpen en aanbevolen zijn door de
fabrikant. Wanneer een accessoire op de machine te bevestigen is, is een veilig gebruik
niet gegarandeerd
d) De maximale snelheid van het accessoire dient minimaal gelijk te zijn aan de
onbelaste snelheid van de machine. Accessoires die sneller draaien dan de maximale
snelheid breken mogelijk tijdens gebruik
e) De diameter en dikte van het accessoire dienen binnen de capaciteit van de
machine vallen. Accessoires met een te grote diameter worden niet voldoende
beschermd en kunnen niet voldoende gecontroleerd worden
f) De asgatmaat van wielen, ensen, steunschijven en enige andere accessoires
dienen juist op de as van de machine te passen. Accessoires met asgaten die niet
overeenkomen met de machine as draaien uit balans, trillen overmatig en zorgen mogelijk
voor controleverlies
g) Gebruik geen beschadigde accessoires. Controleer accessoires voor elk gebruik
op slijtage en beschadigingen als breuken, scheuren, losse draden, etc. Wanneer
u de machine of accessoires laat vallen controleert u deze grondig op beschadiging.
Wanneer het accessoire bevestigd is, positioneert u uzelf en omstanders uit de
rotatiebaan van de machine en schakelt u de machine voor een minuut onbelast in.
Beschadigde accessoires breken normaal gesproken tijdens dit proces
h) De juiste beschermende uitrusting dient te allen tijde gedragen te worden.
Afhankelijk van het uit te voeren werk: een veiligheidsbril, stofmasker,
beschermende handschoenen, gehoorbescherming, schort, etc. De veiligheidsbril
dient kleine rondvliegende deeltjes te stoppen. Het stofmasker dient kleine schadelijke/
giftige stofdeeltjes te stoppen. Langdurige blootstelling aan hoge geluidsniveaus leidt
mogelijk tot gehoorverlies
i) Houdt omstanders op een veilige afstand. Personen die de werkplaats betreden
dienen de geschikte beschermende uitrusting tevens te dragen. Rondvliegende
accessoire- of werkstukdeeltjes kunnen ernstig letsel veroorzaken
j) Bij het uitvoeren van werkzaamheden waarbij het accessoire in contact kan komen
met stroomdraden, houdt u de machine bij de geïsoleerde oppervlakken vast.
Wanneer het accessoire een stroomdraad raakt komen de metalen onderdelen van de
machine mogelijk onder stroom te staan wat kan resulteren in elektrische schok
k) Houdt het stroomsnoer uit de buurt van het accessoire. Wanneer u de controle over
de machine verliest wordt de snoer mogelijk doorgesneden of wordt uw hand in het
roterende accessoire getrokken
l) Leg de machine niet neer voordat het accessoire volledig stil staat. Een roterend
accessoire grijpt mogelijk in het oppervlak waardoor de machine in elke richting afgevuurd
kan worden
m) Schakel de machine niet in wanneer u deze langs uw zij draagt. Accidenteel contact
met het accessoire trekt het accessoire mogelijk on uw lichaam
n) De ventilatiegaten dienen regelmatig schoongemaakt worden. De motorventilator
zuigt stof in de behuizing en overtollige opstapeling van metaalstof veroorzaakt elektrische
gevaren
o) Gebruik de machine niet in de buurt van licht ontvlambare materialen. Vonken
kunnen deze stoffen ontbranden
p) Gebruik geen accessoires die vloeistofkoeling vereisen. Het gebruik van water of
andere koelvloeistoffen resulteert mogelijk in elektrische schok
Terugslag en bijpassende waarschuwingen
Terugslag is een plotselinge reactie op een vastlopend, geforceerd of een foute uitlijning van
het roterende wiel, de steunschijf of ander accessoire, waardoor de machine uit het materiaal
omhoog, naar de gebruiker wordt geschoten. Wanneer het accessoire plots klem komt te
zitten in het werkstuk, schiet de machine in de richting van de gebruiker dankzij de kracht
van de motor.
Voorbeeld: Wanneer een accessoire in het werkstuk vast komt te zitten, graaft de rand van
het accessoire in het werkstuk waardoor het uit het werkstuk klimt/schiet. De machine wordt
daardoor in de richting van de gebruiker, of van de gebruiker af geforceerd, afhankelijk van de
rotatierichting. Accessoires kunnen in deze omstandigheden tevens breken.
Terugslag is het gevolg van misbruik en/of onjuiste gebruiksprocedures of –omstandigheden,
en kan voorkomen worden door het volgen van de volgende voorzorgsmaatregelen:
a) Houd de machine met beide handen stevig vast en positioneer uw armen zo, dat
terugslag tegengewerkt kan worden. Maak te allen tijde gebruik van het
hulphandvat, voor een maximale controle over de machine. Wanneer de juiste
houding aangenomen wordt, kan terugslag opgevangen worden.
b) Houd uw handen uit de buurt van roterende accessoires. Accessoires slaan mogelijk
terug in uw hand
c) Positioneer uw lichaam uit een mogelijk terugslag lijn. Zo wordt de machine niet in de
richting van uw lichaam geforceerd in geval van terugslag
d) Ben extra voorzichtig bij het bewerken van hoeken, randen, etc. Bij het bewerken van
hoeken en randen is de kan op terugslag en controle verlies groter
e) Bevestig geen zaagketting en getand zaagblad op de machine. Bij het gebruik van
deze bladen is de kans op terugslag en controle verlies groot
Veiligheidswaarschuwingen speciek voor schuurwerkzaamheden
a) Gebruik geen overmaatse schuurvellen. Volg de aanbevelingen van de fabrikant
bij het selecteren van schuurvellen. Grote schuurvellen die voorbij de steunschijf vallen
snijden mogelijk in het werkstuk, rukken het vel mogelijk van de steunschijf en resulteren
mogelijk in terugslag
Veiligheidswaarschuwingen speciek voor polijstwerkzaamheden
a) Verwijder losse draden van het polijstkussen/accessoire. Uw handen en vingers
kunnen verstrikt raken in losse draden van roterende accessoires
Veiligheidswaarschuwingen speciek voor draadborstel werkzaamheden
a) Zelfs bij normaal gebruik worden staaldraden afgevuurd. Overbelast de draden
niet door het uitoefenen van een overmatige druk. De draden kunnen kleding en huid
gemakkelijk penetreren
b) Wanneer het gebruik van de beschermkap aanbevolen is dienen draadborstels
de werking van de beschermkap niet te verstoren. Dankzij roterende krachten wordt
de diameter van borstels/wielen tijdens gebruik mogelijk groter

Het uitpakken van uw gereedschap
• Pak uw toestel / gereedschap uit. Inspecteer het en zorg dat u met alle kenmerken en
functies vertrouwd raakt
• Controleer of alle onderdelen aanwezig zijn en in goede staat verkeren. Als er onderdelen
ontbreken of beschadigd zijn, zorg dan dat deze vervangen worden voor u dit toestel /
gereedschap gebruikt
Voor gebruik
WAARSCHUWING: Zorg ervoor dat de machine uitgeschakeld en ontkoppeld is van de
stroombron voordat u accessoires wisselt en/of aanpassingen maakt
Handvat samenstelling
1. Bevestig het voorhandvat (5) op het bevestigingspunt (3)
2. Bevestig het handvat in plaats, met behulp van de inbusbouten (4)
Let op: De voorhandvatpositie is aan te passen door de inbusbouten los te draaien, het
handvat in de gewenste positie te plaatsen en de bouten weer vast te draaien
Het bevestigen van polijstkussens, sponzen en schuurvellen
• De klittenband polijstspons (1) en andere schuur-/polijstaccessoires, als 150 mm
klittenband schuurvellen (niet inbegrepen), zijn op het klittenband oppervlak van de
steunschijf (2) te drukken
• Trek accessoires voorzichtig en langzaam van de steunschijf af
Let op: Zorg ervoor dat beide klittenband oppervlakken schoon zijn voordat u accessoires
bevestigd (zie: ‘Onderhoud’ sectie)
Gebruik
WAARSCHUWING: Tijdens het gebruik van de machine is het dragen van de geschikte
beschermende uitrusting, waaronder een stofmasker en gehoorbescherming, aanbevolen
Het in- en uitschakelen van de machine
WAARSCHUWING: Schakel de machine niet in of uit wanneer het accessoire in contact
staat met het werkstuk. Dit leidt mogelijk tot ernstige ongelukken en persoonlijk letsel en
vermindert de levensduur van de aan-/uitschakelaar (7) aanzienlijk
1. Sluit de machine op de stroombron aan
2. Om de machine te starten schuift u de aan-/uitschakelaar (7) naar voren in de ‘I’ positie.
Wanneer de motor start duurt het een aantal seconden voordat het accessoire de
maximale snelheid bereikt heeft
3. Om de machine te stoppen schuift u de schakelaar terug naar achteren in de ‘O’ positie
Het verstellen van de machine snelheid
• De snelheid van de machine is aan te passen met behulp van het controlewiel (9). Een
hoog nummer duidt op een hoge machinesnelheid
• De machine snelheid dient handmatig gesteld te worden wanneer de machine is
uitgeschakeld, met behulp van het variabele snelheid stelwiel
WAARSCHUWING: Selecteer de juiste snelheid, passend bij het uit te voeren werk
WAARSCHUWING: De maximale snelheid van het bevestigde accessoire dient niet
overschreden te worden
Polijsttips
• Zorg ervoor dat het te polijsten oppervlak schoon en droog is
• Maak enkel gebruik van polijstpasta’s die geschikt zijn voor het te bewerken materiaal en
de gebruikswijze. Lees de instructies van de polijstpasta fabrikant volledig door
• Bij het gebruik van polijstsponzen verspreid u de polijstpasta gelijk over de spons en
plaatst u de spons tegen het werkstuk
• Houdt de machine stevig, met beide handen, bij de handvaten vast. De polijstspons dient
licht in contact te staan met het werkstukoppervlak
• Schakel de machine in en beweeg de machine in bogen over het oppervlak. Stop en breng
extra polijstpasta aan wanneer vereist
• Wanneer het volledige oppervlak voorzien is van polijstpasta, stopt u de machine en laat u
de polijstpasta drogen (volg de instructies van de polijstpasta fabrikant)
• Bevestig een schoon polijstkussen en bewerk het oppervlak tot alle polijstpasta verwijderd
is
Schuurtips
WAARSCHUWING: De machine is voornamelijk te gebruiken voor polijstwerkzaamheden.
De machine is geschikt voor alleen lichte schuurwerkzaamheden en is niet geschikt voor het
verwijderen van grote hoeveelheden materiaal
WAARSCHUWING: Gebruik de machine niet voor natschuren
WAARSCHUWING: Tijdens schuurwerk is het dragen van een stofmasker aanbevolen
• Laat de machine volledig op snelheid komen voordat u het schuurpapier in contact brengt
met het werkstuk
• Begin met een grof schuurpapier, en schakel langzaamaan over naar jner schuurpapier
voor het verkrijgen van de beste afwerking
• Oefen slechts een lichte druk op de machine uit. Wanneer u te veel druk op de machine
uitvoert raakt de motor mogelijk oververhit
• Werk het oppervlak geleidelijk af. De machine werkt in een roterende beweging dus u
hoeft niet met de nerf mee te schuren
• Gebruik de machine enkel vlak op het oppervlak. Het kantelen van de machine
beschadigd het oppervlak

Onderhoud
WAARSCHUWING: Ontkoppel de machine van de stroombron voordat u de machine
schoonmaakt of enig onderhoud uitvoert
Algemene inspectie
• Controleer regelmatig of alle bevestigingsmiddelen nog goed vast zitten. Door vibratie
kunnen ze na enige tijd los gaan zitten
• Inspecteer het stroomsnoer voor elk gebruik op slijtage en beschadiging. Reparaties
dienen uitgevoerd worden bij een geautoriseerd GMC service center. Dit geld tevens voor
verlengsnoeren, gebruikt met de machine
Schoonmaak
• Houd uw machine te allen tijde schoon. Vuil en stof doen de interne onderdelen snel
slijten, wat de levensduur aanzienlijk vermindert. Maak de machine met een zachte borstel
of droge doek schoon. Gebruik wanneer mogelijk zuivere, droge perslucht om door de
luchtgaten te blazen
• Maak de behuizing met een vochtige doek en een licht schoonmaakmiddel schoon.
Gebruik geen alcohol, benzine of hardnekkig schoonmaakmiddel
• Gebruik geen bijtende stoffen voor het schoonmaken van plastic onderdelen
Smeren
• Smeer alle bewegende onderdelen regelmatig met een geschikt smeermiddel
Borstels

Caractéristiques techniques
Attention : Toujours porter des protections sonores lorsque le niveau d’intensité est supérieur
à 85 dB(A) et limiter le temps d’exposition si nécessaire. Si l’intensité sonore devient
inconfortable, même avec les protections, arrêter immédiatement d’utiliser l’appareil, vérier

e. Ne pas essayer d’atteindre une zone hors de portée. Se tenir toujours en position
stable et conserver l’équilibre. Cela permet de mieux contrôler l’outil électrique dans des
situations inattendues.
f. Porter des vêtements appropriés. Ne pas porter de vêtements amples ou des bijoux
pendants. Les vêtements amples, les bijoux pendants ou les cheveux longs peuvent être
happé par les pièces en mouvement.
g. Si l’outil est pourvu de dispositifs destinés au raccord d’équipements d’extraction
et de récupération de la poussière/sciure, s’assurer qu’ils soient bien xés et
utilisés correctement. L’utilisation de ces dispositifs peut réduire les risques dus à la
poussière.
Utilisation et entretien des outils électriques
a. Ne pas surcharger l’outil électrique. Utiliser l’outil électrique approprié au travail
à effectuer. Un outil électrique adapté et employé au rythme pour lequel il a été conçu
permettra de réaliser un travail de meilleure qualité et dans de meilleures conditions de
sécurité.
b. Ne pas utiliser un outil électrique dont l’interrupteur marche-arrêt est hors service.
Tout outil électrique dont la commande ne s’effectue plus par l’interrupteur marche-arrêt
est dangereux et doit être réparé.
c. Débrancher l’outil électrique avant d’effectuer tout réglage, changement
d’accessoire ou avant de le ranger. De telles mesures préventives réduiront les risques
de démarrage accidentel.
d. Ranger les outils électriques inutilisés hors de portée des enfants et ne pas
permettre l’utilisation de ces outils aux personnes novices ou n’ayant pas
connaissance de ces instructions. Les outils électriques sont dangereux dans les mains
d’utilisateurs inexpérimentés.
e. Veiller à l’entretien des outils électriques. Vérier que les éléments rotatifs
soient bien alignés et non grippés. S’assurer de l’absence de pièces cassées

tranchants bien affûtés, sont moins susceptibles de se gripper et sont plus faciles à
contrôler.
g. Utiliser l’outil électrique, les accessoires et les outils à monter, etc., conformément
à ces instructions et selon l’utilisation prévue pour le type d’outil donné, en tenant
compte des conditions de travail et de la tâche à réaliser. Toute utilisation de cet outil
électrique autre que celle pour laquelle il a été conçu peut entraîner des situations à risque
et entraînerait une annulation de sa garantie.
Entretien
a) Ne faire réparer l’outil électrique que par un réparateur qualié utilisant uniquement
des pièces de rechange identiques. Cela permettra d’assurer la sûreté continue de cet

Sécurité sur la zone de travail
a. Maintenir une zone de travail propre et bien éclairée. Des zones encombrées et mal
éclairées sont sources d’accidents.
b. Ne pas utiliser d’outils électriques dans des environnements explosifs, tels qu’à
proximité de liquides, de gaz ou de poussières inammables. Les outils électriques
produisent des étincelles susceptibles d’enammer la poussière ou les vapeurs présentes.
c. Éloigner les enfants et les passants pendant l’utilisation d’un outil électrique.
Ceux-ci pourraient vous distraire et vous faire perdre la maîtrise de l’appareil.
Sécurité électrique
a. Les prises des outils électriques doivent correspondre aux prises du secteur. Ne
modiez jamais la prise en aucune façon. N’utilisez jamais d’adaptateur avec les
outils électriques mis à la terre. Des prises non modiées, adaptées aux boîtiers de
prise de courant, réduiront les risques de décharge électrique.
b. Éviter le contact corporel avec les surfaces mises à la terre telles que tuyaux,
radiateurs, cuisinières et réfrigérateurs. Le risque de décharge électrique est plus
important si votre corps est mis à la terre.
c. Ne pas exposer votre outil électrique à la pluie ou à l’humidité. L’inltration d’eau dans
un outil électrique augmentera le risque de décharge électrique.
d. Ne pas maltraiter le cordon électrique. N’utilisez jamais le cordon électrique pour
porter, tirer ou débrancher l’outil électrique. Conservez le cordon électrique à l’écart
de la chaleur, de l’essence, de bords tranchants ou de pièces en mouvement. Un
cordon électrique endommagé ou entortillé accroît le risque de décharge électrique.
e. Au cas où l’outil électroportatif serait utilisé à l’extérieur, servez-vous d’une rallonge
appropriée à une utilisation en extérieur. Cela réduit le risque de décharge électrique.
f. Si une utilisation de l’outil dans un environnement humide ne peut être évitée,
utilisez une alimentation protégée par un disjoncteur différentiel. L’utilisation d’un
disjoncteur différentiel réduit le risque de décharge électrique.
Sécurité des personnes
a. Rester vigilant et faire preuve de sens lors de la manipulation de l’outil. Ne pas
utiliser d’outil électrique en état de fatigue ou sous l’inuence de drogues, d’alcool
ou de médicaments. Un moment d’inattention pendant l’utilisation d’un outil électrique
peut se traduire par des blessures graves.
b. Porter des équipements de protection. Porter toujours des lunettes de protection.
Le port d’équipements de protection tels que des masques à poussières, des chaussures
de sécurité antidérapantes, un casque de sécurité ou des protections antibruit, selon le
travail à effectuer, réduira le risque de blessures aux personnes.
c. Éviter tout démarrage accidentel. S’assurer que l’interrupteur marche-arrêt soit en
position d’arrêt (Off) avant de brancher l’outil sur l’alimentation secteur. Porter
un outil électrique tout en maintenant le doigt posé sur l’interrupteur ou brancher un outil
électrique dont l’interrupteur est sur la position de marche (On) est source d’accidents.
d. Enlever toute clé ou tout instrument de réglage avant de mettre l’outil électrique en
marche. Une clé ou un instrument de réglage laissé xé à un élément en rotation de l’outil
électrique peut entraîner des blessures physiques.

Consignes de sécurité relatives aux ponceuses-
polisseuses
a) Cet outil électrique est destiné à fonctionner comme ponceuse, brosse métallique,
polisseuse. Lisez toutes les mises en garde de sécurité, les instructions, les
illustrations et les spécications fournies avec cet outil électrique. Le fait de ne
pas suivre toutes les instructions données ci-dessous peut provoquer un choc électrique,
un incendie et/ou une blessure grave.
b) Les opérations de meulage ou de tronçonnage ne sont pas recommandées avec cet
outil électrique. Les opérations pour lesquelles l’outil électrique n’a pas été conçu
peuvent provoquer un danger et causer un accident corporel.
c) N’utilisez pas d’accessoires n’ayant pas été conçus et recommandés
spéciquement par le fabricant d’outils. Le simple fait que l’accessoire puisse être
installé sur votre outil électrique ne garantit pas un fonctionnement en toute sécurité.
d) La vitesse nominale de l’accessoire doit être au moins égale à la vitesse maximale
indiquée sur l’outil électrique. Les accessoires fonctionnant plus vite que leur vitesse
assignée peuvent se briser et voler en éclat.
e) Le diamètre extérieur et l’épaisseur de votre accessoire doivent se situer dans le
cadre des caractéristiques de capacité de votre outil électrique. Les accessoires de
taille incorrecte ne peuvent pas être protégés ou contrôlés de manière appropriée.
f) La taille des arbres de la lame, les moyeux, les plateaux supports ou autres doit
être adapté à l’arbre de l’outil. Pour les accessoires montés avec des asques,
l’alésage central de l’accessoire doit s’adapter correctement au diamètre du asque,
autrement, ils seront en déséquilibre, vibreront de manière excessive et pourront
provoquer une perte de contrôle.
g) N’utilisez pas d’accessoire endommagé. Avant chaque utilisation, examinez
les accessoires comme les meules abrasives pour détecter la présence éventuelle
d’ébréchures et ssures, les supports pour détecter les ssures, déchirures ou
l’usure excessive, ainsi que les brosses métalliques pour détecter des ls
desserrés ou ssurés. Si l’outil électrique ou l’accessoire a subi une chute,
examinez les dommages éventuels ou installez un accessoire non endommagé.
Après examen et installation d’un accessoire, placez-vous ainsi que les personnes
présentes à distance du plan de l’accessoire rotatif et faites marcher l’outil
électrique à vitesse maximale à vide pendant 1min. Les accessoires endommagés
seront normalement détruits pendant cette période d’essai.
h) Portez un équipement de protection individuelle. En fonction de l’application,
utilisez un écran facial, des masques ou lunettes de sécurité. Le cas échéant,
utilisez un masque antipoussière, des protections auditives, des gants et un tablier
capables d’arrêter les petits fragments abrasifs ou des pièces à usiner. La protection
oculaire doit être capable d’arrêter les débris volants produits par diverses opérations.
Le masque ou le respirateur doit être capable de ltrer les particules produites par
vos travaux. L’exposition prolongée aux bruits de forte intensité peut provoquer une perte
d’audition.
i) Maintenez les personnes présentes à une distance de sécurité par rapport à la zone
de travail. Toute personne entrant dans la zone de travail doit porter un équipement
de protection individuelle. Des fragments de pièce à usiner ou d’un accessoire
cassé peuvent être projetés et provoquer des blessures en dehors de la zone immédiate
d’opération.
j) Tenez l’outil uniquement par les surfaces de préhension isolantes, pendant les
opérations au cours desquelles l’accessoire coupant peut être en contact avec
des conducteurs cachés ou avec son propre câble. Le contact de l’accessoire
coupant avec un l sous tension peut mettre sous tension les parties métalliques
exposées de l’outil électrique et provoquer un choc électrique sur l’opérateur.
k) Gardez le câble éloigné de l’accessoire en rotation. Si vous perdez le contrôle,
le câble peut être coupé ou accroché et votre main ou votre bras peut être happé dans
l’accessoire en rotation.
l) Ne reposez jamais l’outil électrique avant que l’accessoire ne soit complétement
arrêté. L’accessoire de rotation peut mordre la surface et arracher l’outil électrique hors
de votre contrôle.
m) Ne laissez pas l’outil électrique en fonctionnement lorsque vous le portez sur le
côté. Un contact accidentel avec l’accessoire en rotation pourrait accrocher vos
vêtements et attirer l’accessoire sur vous.
n) Nettoyez régulièrement ventilations de l’outil électrique. Le ventilateur du moteur
attirera la poussière à l’intérieur du boîtier et une accumulation excessive de poudre de
métal peut provoquer des dangers électriques.
o) Ne faites pas fonctionner l’outil électrique à proximité de matériaux inammables.
Des étincelles pourraient enammer ces matériaux.
p) N’utilisez pas d’accessoires nécessitant des uides réfrigérants. L’utilisation d’eau
ou d’autres uides réfrigérants peut entraîner à une électrocution ou un choc électrique.
Mesures de prévention et consignes de sécurité relatives à l’effet de
rebond.
Effet de rebond et consignes de sécurité
L’effet de rebond est une réaction soudaine causée par un disque, un support, une brosse ou
tout autre accessoire en rotation se grippant ou déformé. Lorsque l’accessoire est grippé ou
déformé il cale rapidement, entraînant une réaction incontrôlée de l’outil, qui sera forcé dans
la direction opposée au sens de rotation de l’accessoire au moment où il cale.
Par exemple, si un abrasive se coince ou se grippe dans la pièce, le bord du disque entrant
au point où il est coincé peut creuser dans la surface du matériau et peut faire remonter le
disque ou l’éjecter. Le disque peut être éjecté vers l’utilisateur ou dans la direction opposée,
en fonction du sens de rotation du disque lorsqu’il se coince. Dans ces conditions, le disque
abrasif peut se briser.
Le rebond est le résultat d’une mauvaise utilisation de l’outil, de son utilisation dans de
mauvaise condition, ou du non suivi des procédures. Il peut être évité en tenant compte des
précautions suivantes.
a) Exercez une prise en main sûre et ferme de l’outil, des deux mains, en adoptant une
bonne position et en tenant les bras de manière à résister aux forces de rebond.
Utilisez toujours les poignées auxiliaires lorsqu’elles sont fournies pour un
contrôle maximal en cas de rebond ou de réaction lors du démarrage. L’utilisateur
peut contrôler la réaction de coupe ou les forces de rebond si des précautions sufsantes
sont prises.
b) Ne placez jamais votre main prés l’accessoire en rotation. L’accessoire peut être
renvoyé vers votre main lors d’un rebond.
c) Ne vous tenez pas dans la zone où l’outil se dirigerait en cas de rebond. L’effet de
rebond propulsera l’outil dans la direction opposé au sens de rotation du disque au
moment où il apparait.
d) Soyez extrêmement vigilant lorsque vous travailler dans des coins ou près de
bords tranchants. Évitez de déformer ou déchirer l’accessoire. Les coins, les bords
tranchants etc. ont tendance à déchirer et déformer l’accessoire en rotation et peut
conduire à une perte de contrôle et un effet de rebond.
e) N’adaptez pas de lame chaîne de tronçonneuse, de lame pour le bois ou de lame
de scie dentée. De telles lames entraînent généralement une perte de contrôle et un
effet de rebond.
Mesures de prévention et consignes de sécurité relatives aux opérations
de ponçage
a) N’utilisez pas de papier abrasif trop surdimensionné. Suivez les recommandations
des fabricants, lors du choix du papier abrasif. Un papier abrasif plus grand
s’étendant au-delà du patin de ponçage présente un danger de lacération et peut
provoquer un accrochage, une déchirure du disque ou un rebond.

Mesures de prévention et consignes de sécurité relatives aux opérations
de polissage
a) Ne laissez aucune partie lâche du bonnet de polissage ou de ses cordons de
serrage tourner librement. Rentrez ou coupez tous cordons de serrage. Les cordons
de serrages lâches ou en rotation peuvent s’entortiller dans vos doigts ou se déchirer sur
l’ouvrage.
Mesures de prévention et consignes de sécurité relatives aux opérations
de brossage métallique
a) Gardez à l’esprit que des brins métalliques sont rejetés par la brosse même au
cours d’une opération ordinaire. N’appliquez pas à une trop grande contrainte les
ls métalliques en appliquant une charge excessive à la brosse. Les brins
métalliques peuvent aisément pénétrer dans des vêtements légers et/ou la peau.
b) Si l’utilisation d’un protecteur est recommandée pour le brossage métallique, ne
permettez aucune gêne entre la roue en l ou de la brosse métallique et la garde.
La roue en l ou la brosse métallique peut se dilater en diamètre en raison de la charge
de travail et des forces centrifuges.

Usage conforme
Machine de polissage rotative polyvalente pourvue d’un système de contrôle avec démarrage
progressif et sélection de 6 niveaux de vitesses, pour réaliser des tâches légères et
moyennes de polissage et de ponçage, en utilisant des bonnets de polissage adaptés, des
pâtes de polissage et disques de ponçage auto-agrippants.
Déballer votre produit
• Déballez le produit avec soin. Veillez à retirer tous les matériaux d’emballage et
familiarisez-vous avec toutes les caractéristiques du produit.
• Si des pièces sont endommagées ou manquantes, faites-les réparer ou remplacer avant
d’utiliser l’appareil.
Avant utilisation
ATTENTION : Assurez-vous que l’outil est débranché avant d’installer ou de changer un
accessoire ou d’effectuer des réglages.
Assemblage de la poignée
1. Installez la poignée avant (5) sur les supports de la poignée (3).
2. Verrouillez en place grâce aux boulons six-pans (4) fournis.
Remarque : La position de la poignée avant peut être modiée en desserrant les boulons
six-pans et en déplaçant la poignée dans la position désirée puis resserrez les boulons.
Installation des bonnets de lustrage, l’éponge de polissage, et des disques
abrasifs
• L’éponge de polissage (1) et les autres accessoires de polissage, tels que les disques
abrasifs auto-agrippants de 150 mm (non fournies) peuvent être pressés sur la surface du
plateau support auto-agrippant (2).
• Tirez lentement l’accessoire installé du plateau support auto-agrippant pour l’enlever.
Remarque : Assurez-vous toujours que les deux surfaces auto-agrippantes sont exemptes
de saleté et de débris avant d’installer les accessoires (voir également la section ‘Entretien’).
Instructions d’utilisation
ATTENTION : Portez TOUJOURS des lunettes de protection et des protections auditives

Mise en marche et arrêt
ATTENTION : N’allumez et n’éteignez jamais l’outil lorsqu’il est en contact avec la pièce
de travail. Ceci peut causer de graves blessures pour l’utilisateur et réduit considérablement
la durée de vie de la gâchette marche-arrêt (5).
1. Branchez la machine sur l’alimentation de secteur.
2. Pour mettre en marche, déplacez l’interrupteur marche arrêt (5) vers l’avant en position I.
Le moteur démarrera et la machine atteindra sa vitesse d’utilisation en quelque secondes.
3. Pour arrêter, déplacez l’interrupteur marche arrêt vers l’arrière en position O.
Régler la vitesse de l’outil
• La vitesse de la machine peut être contrôlée grâce variateur de vitesse (9) : plus le
nombre est grand plus la vitesse est élevée.
• Le niveau de vitesse doit être sélectionné au préalable alors que l’outil est encore éteint.
Vous devez à chaque fois éteindre et redémarrer l’appareil une fois que les réglages
nécessaires ont été réalisés au moyen du variateur de vitesse en fonction de la vitesse
voulue selon la tâche à réaliser.
ATTENTION : Réglez toujours le variateur de la vitesse sur la vitesse correspondant à la
tâche à accomplir.
ATTENTION : Ne dépassez jamais la vitesse maximum de l’accessoire installé.
Conseils pour le polissage
• Assurez-vous que la surface à polir est propre et sèche.
• Choisissez des pâtes de polissage compatibles avec le matériau à polir et avec la
méthode d’application. Assurez-vous de bien lire et comprendre toutes les informations
fournies avec votre pâte de polissage avant utilisation.
• Si vous utilisez des éponges de polissage, appliquez la pâte de polissage uniformément
sur l’éponge de polissage et placez l’éponge sur la surface de travail.
• Tenez la machine fermement, en vous servant de vos deux mains, par les poignées.
L’éponge de polissage ne doit entrer que légèrement en contact avec la surface de travail.
• Allumez la machine et déplacez-la sur toute la surface en décrivant un large mouvement
de « balayage ». Arrêtez et remettez de la pâte si nécessaire.
• Lorsque toute la surface a été couverte, arrêtez la machine et laissez la pâte sécher
(suivez les instructions du fabricant).
