SEPEX DC DRIVE MOTORS
The two drive motors are DC driven motor, with these motor the eld is powered by an independent source.
This type DC Motors are also known as SEPEX DC MOTORS.
SEPEX is a merge of the ocial traditional description: SEparately EXcited.
The advantage of SEPEX DC MOTORS comes from the fact that the magnetic strength (Flux) of the
non-moving part (FIELD) of the motor can be controlled independent n ratio rotation current and voltage.
FIELD Current (I) is proportional in ratio Flux eld strength, though is independent to rotation speed.
The eld strength is a critical factor for the given torque of an SEPEX DC MOTOR.

DIAGNOSTICS ->> SYSTEM
MtrV Motor voltage given by the TS200 module. Two values being displayed, LEFT / RIGHT motor.
Voltage towards drive motors is determine Drive Speed.
MtrI Motor current (I), measured by the TS200 module. Two values being displayed, LEFT /
RIGHT motor.
FieldI Current (I) being measured by the Half Bridge module, current / amps lowing thru the eld
winding.
FieldI target Software routines determine target for the Field current (I). The eld current (FieldI) is
constantly compensated to match up the eld current targer (FieldI targer).

Driving on minor slope,

Driving on intense slope / ramp,

FIELD CURRENT
The Target Field current (I) is via software routines
determined.
DRIVE-function at start-up, Field target is set to the
given value FIELD MAXfwd - as soon as Motor
current is signicant decreased, software assumes
that motion is in place.
At normal DRIVE operation, on at surface (no TILT)
Field target is set to MINfwd value.
Target Field current will set to FIELDTILT value
whenever the internal tilt sensor of the TS200
detects a TILT situation.
Target Field current will set RAMPTILT value
whenever the internal tilt sensor of the TS200
detects a RAMP TILT situation.
