The SP-5002VZC 1x2 4K-HDR HDMI Splitter over Single Cat.x with HDBaseT-Lite, IR, RS-232,
PoC & Loopout has been tested for conformance to safety regulations and requirements, and has
been certified for international use. However, like all electronic equipments, the SP-5002VZC should

INTRODUCTION
The SP-5002VZC 1x2 4K-HDR HDMI Splitter over Single Cat.x with HDBaseT-Lite, IR, RS-232,
PoC & Loopout provides the most cost effective and advanced HDMI splitter solution on the market, by
which the high definition video and high quality audio can be transmitted up to 6*different locations
without losing quality. SP-5002VZC supports all 3D formats, the true 4K 2K video and provides two HDMI
local loopouts. In addition, SP-5002VZC is also equipped with bi-directional IR pass-through path and
RS-232 serial port control.
With built-in USB firmware update mechanism, the compatibility among countless HDMI sources
and receivers can be further guaranteed. With the upmost 12 bit deep color video and high definition
audio support, SP-5002VZC is suitable for high quality HDMI broadcasting, digital signage and education
applications!

IR BLASTER: plug in the IR blaster to emit all IR command signals received from the IR receiver from the
other end to control the devices corresponding to the IR signals.
IR RECEIVER: plug in the IR receiver to receive all IR command signals from the IR remote controls of
the corresponding devices.

You can buy any IR extension cables in the market that are compatible to the definition of
the IR sockets for the matrix if necessary for replacement use. However, IR cables longer
than 2m (6-ft) may not work.
Incorrect placement of IR Blaster and Receiver may result in the failure of the IR extenders. Please check
carefully before plugging in the IR extender to the respective IR sockets. Warranty will not cover the damage.

NOTICE
1. While connecting a new monitor to the splitter, experiencing a short period of time without display
might be expected. The splitter will do Automatic EDID learning which analyzes the newly connected
monitor to see if the EDID for the HDMI input is necessary to update!
2. Firmware update is proceed through Micro-USB
System firmware update
(1) Save the firmware file (.bin) & software in the same folder.
(2) Please try to adjust dip switch [pin1, pin 2]=[↑-↑]
(3) Connect the Micro-USB cable between PC and device
(4) Open firmware update software and then device will start to update firmware automatically.
(5) After update process is done, software will show “Success”message and then be closed
automatically.
(6) Power cycle the device
Output 1 firmware update
(1) Please adjust dip switch [pin1, pin 2]=[↓-↑]
(2) Connect the Micro-USB cable between PC and device
(3) Open the firmware update software
(4) Set the correct COM port and baud rate (57600 is recommended)
(5) Click the FILE button to load firmware file (.hex or .bin file)
(6) Device power on
(7) Press Program MCU symbol to do firmware update
(8) Once update process is done, please power cycle the device and set the dip switch [pin 1, pin 2] to
[↑-↑]
(9) Power cycle the device

(2) Connect the Micro-USB cable between PC and device
(3) Open the firmware update software

WARRANTY
The SELLER warrants the SP-5002VZC 1x2 4K-HDR HDMI Splitter over Single Cat.x with
HDBaseT-Lite, IR, RS-232, PoC & Loopout free from defects in the material and workmanship for 1
year from the date of purchase from the SELLER or an authorized dealer. Should this product fail to be in
good working order within 1 year warranty period, The SELLER, at its option, repair or replace the unit,
provided that the unit has not been subjected to accident, disaster, abuse or any unauthorized
modifications including static discharge and power surge. This warranty is offered by the SELLER for its
BUYER with direct transaction only. This warranty is void if the warranty seal on the metal housing is
broken.
Unit that fails under conditions other than those covered will be repaired at the current price of parts
and labor in effect at the time of repair. Such repairs are warranted for 90 days from the day of reshipment
to the BUYER. If the unit is delivered by mail, customers agree to insure the unit or assume the risk of loss
or damage in transit. Under no circumstances will a unit be accepted without a return authorization
number.
The warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including without limitations, any
other implied warranty or fitness or merchantability for any particular purpose, all of which are expressly
disclaimed.
Proof of sale may be required in order to claim warranty. Customers outside Taiwan are responsible
for shipping charges to and from the SELLER. Cables and power adapters are limited to a 30 day
warranty and must be free from any markings, scratches, and neatly coiled.
