BASICS
ASSEMBLING YOUR AB WHEEL:
1. Remove one Grip Handle from Bar
2. Place bar through hole in center of wheel
3. Slide Grip handle back on bar so that the ends
are ush with the ends of the bar and wheel is centered
Important Note:
To help insure your forward roll out movement does not
become excessive try practicing rolling out toward a wall,
using it as a guide and blocking device. Start by placing the
wheel approximately 12 inches from the wall and progressively
move the wheel back as you feel more condent in your
movement and have mastered proper form.
PROPER AB WHEEL FORM:
• Maintain a natural curvature with your lower back
• Draw in your lower abdomen
• Keep your shoulders and hips in a straight line
• Your arms should be straight, and your upper spine should
be straight without rounding
• Keep your eyes on the oor and your chin pointed down,
keeping your neck in neutral alignment
When performing ab wheel exercises, there should be no
increased arching of the lower back, pushing out of the abs,
low back pain, or discomfort. If any of these occur, decrease
the amount of forward motion.

ASSEMBLER LA ROUE POUR ABDOMINAUX:
1. Retirer une poignée de la barre.
2. Insérer la barre dans le trou au centre de la roue.
3. Remettre en place la poignée de la barre de façon à ce que les
extrémités des deux poignées soient alignées avec celles de la
barre et que la roue soit centrée.
Remarque importante :
pour limiter l’amplitude du mouvement de roulement vers l’avant,
s’entraîner à faire rouler la roue vers un mur, en utilisant ce dernier
comme guide et comme dispositif de blocage. Commencer en
plaçant la roue à environ 30 cm du mur et la reculer progressivement
au fur et à mesure que les mouvements deviennent plus sûrs
et quand la posture est bien maîtrisée.
POSTURE CORRECTE AVEC ROUE POUR ABDOMINAUX:
• Maintenir une courbure naturelle avec le bas du dos.
• Rentrer le bas-ventre.
• Garder les épaules et les hanches alignées.
• Les bras doivent être droits et la colonne vertébrale supérieure
doit être droite et ne pas s’arrondir.
• Garder les yeux dirigés vers le sol et le menton pointé vers
le bas, avec le cou dans un alignement neutre.
Lors de l’exécution d’exercices avec roue pour abdominaux,
il ne devrait pas y avoir d’augmentation de la cambrure du bas
du dos, de poussée des abdominaux vers l’extérieur, de douleur
au bas du dos ou d’inconfort. Si l’un de ces événements se produit,
limiter le mouvement vers l’avant.

EXERCISES
BASIC ROLL OUT & BACK: Abdominals and Upper Body
Starting position: In a kneeling position, place toes on the oor,
grasp handles and straighten arms with handles parallel to oor.
Lift ribcage, expand chest, align hips with shoulders, and push hips
back slightly. Focus eyes straight down at oor, inhale, then exhale
gently, pulling the lower abdomen in. Push forward with hands while
simultaneously moving hips forward and slightly down. Roll out
straight ahead only as far as the lower back can maintain
its natural curvature.
OBLIQUE ROLL OUT & BACK: Obliques and Upper Body
Push forward with hands at a slight oblique angle. Repeat in
alternating right/left pattern for the desired number of reps.
When extending right, push forward moving between 12 o’clock
and 2 o’clock. When extending left, push forward moving between
10 o’clock and 12 o'clock, simultaneously moving hips forward and
slightly down. Keep your pelvis level, hold for 2-3 seconds then
roll back to the starting position.
