Ce manuel d’utilisation comprend des indications sur le fonctionnement de votre appareil et les précautions à suivre pour votre
sécurité. Merci de le lire attentivement avant première utilisation et de le conserver soigneusement pour toute relecture future
DESCRIPTION GENERALE
Batium a été conçu :
. pour la recharge des batteries de démarrage au plomb à électrolyte liquide ou gel de 35 Ah à 350 Ah
en 6V, 12V ou 24V (3 éléments de 2V - 6 éléments de 2V - 12 éléments de 2V).
. pour la recharge des batteries de traction au plomb ouvert de 35 à 180 Ah en 6V, 12V ou 24V
(3 éléments de 2V - 6 éléments de 2V - 12 éléments de 2v).
BRANCHEMENT ET FONCTIONNEMENT GÉNÉRAL
Respecter l’ordre de mise en route.
Précaution : Vérier le niveau de l’électrolyte pour les batteries ouvertes. Compléter les niveaux si nécessaire avant la charge.
1. Brancher le chargeur sur la prise secteur 230 V.
2. Positionner l’interrupteur sur « ON ». Un chenillard apparaît sur l’afcheur.
3. Choisir la courbe de charge (IUoU pour des batteries automobiles, IUIo pour des batteries de traction).
Pour sélectionner la fonction IUIo presser 5 secondes.
4. Choisir la tension de votre batterie (6V, 12V, 24V) selon les indications inscrites sur votre batterie ou en fonction de
l’éventuel couplage réalisé (série ou parallèle cf P23).
5. Choisir l’allure de charge en fonction de la capacité de votre batterie (Ah) inscrites sur votre batterie.
6. Brancher les pinces : pince rouge sur le + de la batterie et pince noir sur le –
ou bien brancher le connecteur spécique (cf Fonction charge IUIo)
7. Avant de commencer la charge, Batium réalise les opérations suivantes :
a- analyse la batterie : tension/état batterie… (en cas d’anomalie Batium vous l’indique cf anomalies, causes, remèdes).
b- restaure la batterie quand sa tension est trop basse
8. Batium débute la charge et vous indique l’état de charge de votre batterie ainsi que le courant de charge en Ampère.
9. Quand la batterie est chargée, positionner l’interrupteur sur « OFF ».
10. Débrancher le câble d’alimentation.
11. Débrancher les pinces /ou le connecteur de la batterie.
Nb : entre les utilisations ou après une coupure de courant, BATIUM mémorise et se repositionne sur la dernière tension, allure, courbe de
charge sélectionnées. (sauf SOS Recovery : non mémorisé).
FONCTION CHARGE IUOU
Cette fonction permet de charger des batteries de démarrage au plomb à électrolyte liquide ou gel du VL au PL de 35 Ah à 350 Ah.
Le processus de charge est le suivant :

FONCTION CHARGE IUIO
Cette fonction permet de charger des batteries de traction au plomb pour gerbeurs, auto-laveuses et transpalettes intégrant des
batteries de 35 Ah à 180 Ah.
Pour brancher le chargeur:
1. directement sur la batterie, utiliser les pinces standard du chargeur
2. sur le branchement spécique de votre appareil, remplacer les pinces en bout de câble par le connecteur adapté à votre appareil
en respectant la polarité et le calibre en courant. Le processus de charge est le suivant :

Nb : Si la batterie reste branchée après la n de charge, tous les 72h, Batium 25/24 relance un cycle de charge pour compenser
l’autodécharge de la batterie.
FONCTION CHARGE FORCEE
En cas de batterie fortement déchargée (tension inférieure à 2V), Batium reste en attente et afche :
. Un chenillard sur l’afcheur.
. Les voyants « tension batterie », « capacité » et « courbe de charge » sont allumés.
Pour forcer la charge, presser 5 secondes sur la touche (2), jusqu’à ce que Batium indique CHE (check=vérier). Le chargeur
détecte une batterie dont la tension est supérieure à 0.8 V.
Comme pour les autres modes, cette étape se décompose en 2 phases :
1. une phase diagnostic (analyse de la batterie tension).
Nb : Pour les batteries 12V ou 24V, pendant cette phase, comme votre batterie est très déchargée, Batium détectera et vous pro-
posera une tension de 6V. Pour valider ou corriger votre tension appuyer sur (2) ( en moins de 10S après le 1er appui). Cf anoma-
lies 6.
2. une phase récupération (montée en tension). Cette phase peut durer jusqu’à 30 minutes max.
L’étape de vérication (CHE) terminée, Batium passe en mode charge normale. Pour plus d’information sur le déroulement de la
charge se réferer à la partie Fonction charge IUoU.
FONCTION « SOS RECOVERY »
Cette fonction concerne les batteries automobiles (IUoU) ayant subi une décharge profonde.
Après branchement de la batterie, Batium diagnostique l’état de la batterie : voyant « CHE ».
Si après 1 minute, le voyant « SOS Recovery » clignote, cela signie que votre batterie est sulfatée, à cause d’une décharge profonde
de longue durée.
La fonction « SOS Recovery », grâce à une courbe de charge spécique, enclenche un cycle de 24 h de régénération.
Pour activer cette fonction, respecter les étapes suivantes :
1. Déconnecter impérativement la batterie du véhicule. (DANGER DE SURTENSION)
2. Raccorder Batium au secteur puis positionner l’interrupteur sur « ON ».
3. Sélectionner la courbe de charge IUoU.
4. Activer « Sos Recovery » en appuyant pendant 5 secondes sur la touche «SOS recovery» jusqu’à ce que le voyant (6) s’allume.
5. Choisir la tension et l’allure de charge.
6. Connecter les pinces de Batium sur la batterie, le processus de désulfatation commence.

PROTECTIONS
Batium 25-24 est protégé contre les courts-circuits, inversions de polarité. Il dispose d’un système anti-étincelle qui évite toutes étincelles
lors du branchement du chargeur sur la batterie. Sans tension aux pinces, Batium ne délivre pas de courant par sécurité.

La tension de la batterie est encore trop
basse pour lancer une charge normale.
Le chargeur tentera de restaurer la
batterie pendant 30 minutes max, puis
poursuivra une charge normale.
Si la batterie n’est pas récupérable,
Batium arrêtera la charge et achera «
OUT ».
Vérier qu’il n’y a pas de consomma-
teur (ex : phase, lumières intérieures,
etc.).
Vérier que la tension de charge
correspond à la tension batterie. Si
ce n’est pas le cas, débrancher les
pinces du chargeur et recongurer à
nouveau.
La tension de la batterie reste anor-
malement basse, la batterie est en
court-circuit ou endommagée.

AVERTISSEMENTS
• Gaz explosif, éviter les ammes et les étincelles. Pendant la charge, la batterie doit être placée dans un emplacement bien aéré.
• Protéger contre la pluie et l’humidité.
• Votre chargeur doit être raccordé à un socle de prise de courant relié à la terre.
• Si le câble d’alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le fabricant, son service après vente ou une personne de qua-
lication similaire, an d’éviter un danger.
• A n’utiliser en aucun cas pour charger des piles ou des batteries non-rechargeables.
• La borne de la batterie non reliée au châssis doit être connectée la première. L’autre connexion doit être effectuée sur le châssis
loin de la batterie et de la canalisation de combustible.
• Après l’opération de charge, débrancher le chargeur du réseau, puis retirer la connexion du châssis et la connexion de la batterie,
dans l’ordre indiqué.
• L’appareil doit être placé de façon telle que la che de prise de courant soit accessible.
• L’appareil ne doit pas être utilisé comme un jouet par de jeunes enfants, ou être utilisé par de jeunes enfants ou personnes han-
dicapés sans surveillance.
• Produit faisant l’objet d’une collecte sélective. Ne pas jeter dans une poubelle domestique.
• Ne pas mettre en court circuit les pinces pendant la charge.
CONDITIONS DE GARANTIE
. La garantie couvre tout défaut ou vice de fabrication pendant 1 an, à compter de la date d’achat (pièces et main d’œuvre).
. La garantie ne couvre pas les erreurs de tension, incidents dus à un mauvais usage, chute, démontage ou toute autre avarie due
au transport.
. La garantie ne couvre pas l’usure normale des pièces (Ex. : câbles, pinces, etc.).
En cas de panne, retournez l’appareil au point S.A.V GYS, en y joignant :
. Un justicatif d’achat daté (ticket de sortie de caisse, facture….)
. Une note explicative de la panne.
Attention : notre SAV n’accepte pas les retours en port dû.
Après la garantie, notre SAV assure les réparations après acceptation d’un devis.

This manual contains safety and operating instructions. Read it carefully before using the charger for the rst time and keep it in a
safe place for any future reference.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Batium is designed to:
. charge liquid or gel electrolyte lead-acid batteries from 35 Ah to 350 Ah in 6V, 12V or 24V (3 elements 2V – 6 elements 2V – 12
elements 2V).
. charge lead traction batteries from 35 Ah to 180 Ah in 6V, 12V or 24V (3 elements 2V – 6 elements 2V – 12 elements 2V).
CONNECTION AND OPERATION
Follow the connection instruction as below.
Precaution: Check electrolyte level of the battery. Fill out it necessary before charging.
1.Connect the charger on a 230V mains.
2.Switch on the device. A chain of lights will enlighten the screen.
3.Select the charging curve (IUoU for automotive batteries, IUIo for traction batteries). To select IUIo press 5
seconds.
4.Select the battery voltage (6V, 12V, 24V) according to the indications written on your battery or to the coupling
done. (in series or parallel see P23).
5.Select the charging speed according to your battery capacity (Ah) written on your battery.
6.Connect the clamps : Red clamp on the battery +and black clamp on the – or plug the specic connector (see
IUIo charging function)
7.Before starting the charge, Batium performs the following operations :
a- battery analysis: voltage/ battery condition… (In case of any anomalies, Batium mentions it - see anomalies, rea-
sons, remedies subdivisions). b- Restores the battery when the voltage is too low.
8.Batium starts the charging and indicates the charging stage as well as the charging current (A).
9.When the battery is charged, switch the device o.
10. Disconnect the power cable.
11.Unplug the clamps or the battery connector.
Nb: between each use or after a power cut, BATIUMsaves the last settings used and will position itself back on the last voltage,
speed and charging curve selected. (except for SOS Recovery mode which is not memorized).
CHARGING FUNCTION IUOU
This function enables to charge automotive liquid or gel electrolyte lead batteries from 35 Ah to 350 Ah and from light
to heavy vehicle. Find below the charging process :

CHARGING FUNCTION IUIO
This function enables to charge lead traction batteries for forklift truck, fork lift, industrial oor cleaning machine, with batteries from
35 Ah to 180 Ah. To connect the charger, process as below:
1. Directly on the battery, use the standard charger clamps
2. On the specic charger plug, replace the clamps at the cable end by the connector adapted to your machine. Respect the polarity
and the current scale.

Nb: If the battery stays connected after the the end of the charge, each 72h, Batium 25/24 starts again a charging cycle
to keep the battery 100% charged.
FORCED CHARGE FUNCTION
In case of a deeply discharged battery, (Voltage under 2V), Batium remains in hold and displays:
. A chain of lights on the current screen
. The indicators « battery voltage », « capacity » and « charging curve » are on.
To force thecharge, press 5 seconds on the key (2) until Batium indicates CHE (=check). The charger detects a battery with a
voltage above 0.8 V.
As for the other models, this step is divided into 2 steps:
1. Diagnostic step (battery voltage analysis).
Nb : For 12v or 24 V batteries, during this step, as your battery is discharged, Batium will detect and offer you a 6V voltage. To
validate or adjust the voltage, press (2) (in less than 10 sec after the rst press). See anomaly 6.
2. Recovery step (voltage rise). This step may last up to 30 minutes max.
The diagnostic stage is over (CHE), Batium carries on with normal charge. For more information on the charging process, please
refer to the subdivision Charging function IUoU.
SOS RECOVERY FUNCTION
This function concerns all automotive batteries which are deeply discharged (IUoU).
After the battery has been plugged in, BATIUM does a diagnosis of the battery: Light signal « CHE » displayed.
If after 1 minute, the signal “SOS Recovery” ashes, this means the battery is sulfated.
The “SOS Recovery” function, thanks to a specic charge curve, starts a 24 hours recovery cycle.
To activate this function, proceed as following:
1. Disconnect the battery from the mains. (HIGH VOLTAGE RISK)
2. Connect the Batium to the outlet, then turn the device ON.
3. Select the IUoU charge curve.
4. Activate « SOS Recovery » by pressing during 5 seconds the «SOS recovery» key till the light (6) lights up.
5. Select the battery voltage and charging speed.
6. Connect the Batium’s clamps on the battery, the desulfation of the battery starts.

PROTECTIONS
The Batium is protected against short-circuits, polarity inversions and engine starts. It has an anti-spark feature which prevents sparks whilst
the battery is connected to the Batium. The Batium will not deliver current if there is no battery detected (no voltage in the clamps).

Your battery is short-circuiting or damaged. Battery to be replaced.
A consumer is still connected to the battery
during the charge. (i.e : Lights)
Cut this consumer and carry on the char-
ging.
The charger is used as an alimentation to
compensate the consumption of big consu-
ming devices plugged on the battery
Behaviour normal in this kind of use. The
light indicating the end of the charge
cannot turn on.
The charging speed is not adapted to the
battery
Position on the superior charging speed.
If you are already on the 25A charging
speed, use a more powerful charger.
8Screen displays for more than 1 minute and
the indicator is on.
The voltage of the battery is still too low to run
a normal charge.
The charger will attempt to restore the battery
during 30 minutes max. Then will run a normal
charge. If the battery cannot be recovered
Batium will stop the charge and the dial will
display «OUT».
Check that there are no consumers on (i.e:
lights, inside lights, etc.).
Check that the charging voltage matches
the battery’s voltage. If it is not the case,
disconnect the clamps and recongure the
charger again.
The voltage of the battery stays abnor-
mally low. The battery is in short-circuit or
damaged.
WARNINGS
• WARNING! Explosive gas, avoid ames and sparks. During charging, the battery should be placed in a ventilated area.
• Protect the unit from rain and moisture
• If the power cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after sales department or a similarly qualied person
to avoid hazard.
• The external fuse can be replaced and the circuit breaker can be engaged by the user.
• Under no circumstances should this appliance should be used to charge accumulators or non rechargeable batteries.
• Respect the connection sequence indicated.
• Product subject to separate collection, do not dispose in domestic waste.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience or knowledge, unless they are supported by a person responsible for their safety, supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance.
• Do not open the device. Modications not performed by the manufacturer’s technician will void the warranty.
• Check that the available input voltage corresponds to the one indicated on the nameplate of the charger.

VERWENDUNGSZWECK
Das Batium Batterieladegerät wurde entwickelt:
. um 6 V / 12 V / 24 V (3, 6, oder 12 x 2 V Elemente) Startbatterien (Typ: Blei, üssig oder Gel- Elektrolyt) von 35 Ah bis 350 Ah zu laden.
. um 6 V / 12 V / 24 V (3, 6, oder 12 x 2 V Elemente) offene Blei- Traktionbatterien von 35 Ah bis 180 Ah zu laden.
NETZANSCHLUSS - INBETRIEBNAHME
Bitte beachten Sie die folgenden Punkte:
Hinweis: Überprüfen Sie bei Säurebatterien den Elektrolytstand und füllen Sie ihn wenn nötig nach (nur bei Verschlussdeckelbatterien
notwendig).
1. Batterieladegerät an 230 V Netzspannung anschließen.
2. Schalter auf „ON“ Position bringen. Anzeige blinkt.
3. Ladekennlinie auswählen (IUoU für Kfz-Startbatterien, IUIo für Traktionsbatterien). Für IUIo Funktion die Taste 5 Sekun-
den gedrückt halten.
4. Batteriespannung auswählen (6 V, 12 V, 24 V), je nach Batterietyp (oder nach Batteriekombination: Reihenschaltung,
Parallel… Seite 23).
5. Ladestrom auswählen, je nach Batteriekapazität (Ah).
6. Ladegerät-Klemmen anschließen: Rote Klemme an „+“ Pol der Batterie, und die schwarze Klemme an „–“ Pol. Für IUIo
Kennlinie–Funktion extra dafür vorgesehene Stecker anschließen.
7. Vor der Ladung führt das Batium folgende Schritte durch:
a- Batterieanalyse: Spannung/Batteriezustand… (bei Problemen wird im Display eine Meldung angezeigt - z.B. Fehler,
Ursachen, Lösungen). b- Regenerationsprozess der Batterie bei zu niedriger Spannung.
8. Das Batium-Ladegerät startet den Ladevorgang, auf dem Display werden Informationen zum Ladezustand und Lades-
trom der Batterie (in Ampere) angezeigt.
9. Wenn die Batterie geladen ist, bitte das Gerät ausschalten.
10. Netzspannung abklemmen.
11. Ladegerät-Klemmen entfernen.
Zwischen verschiedenen Ladevorgängen oder nach einem Stromausfall werden alle Einstellungen gespeichert und nach Wiedereinschal-
ten automatisch die eingestellten Parameter ausgegeben.
IUOU LADEMODUS
