Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with
package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt
to assemble the product.
Estimated Assembly Time: 60 minutes
Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Phillips screwdriver, 1/4 in. flathead screwdriver, wire
stripper and step ladder.
Helpful Tools (not included):AC tester light, do-it-yourself wiring handbook and wire cutters.
This fan is intended for standard and angled mounting options only. Closemount and flushmount
options are not available. For angled ceilings, note the angle can be no more than 19°.

Make sure all electrical connections comply with local codes, ordinances or the National
Electrical code. Hire a qualified electrician or consult a do-it-yourself wiring handbook if you are
unfamiliar with installing electrical wiring.
After you install the fan, make sure all connections are secure to prevent the fan from falling.
For supply connections, if the conductor of a fan is identified as a grounded conductor, then it
should be connected to a grounded conductor power supply. If the conductor of a fan is identified
as an ungrounded conductor, then it should be connected to an ungrounded conductor power
supply. If the conductor of a fan is identified for equipment grounding, then it should be connected
to an equipment-grounding conductor.

2. Remove the two preassembled screws of the
downrod support from the motor assembly (A).
Retain screws for later use.
Note: Make sure to keep loose hardware
separate to avoid confusion during installation.

1. Remove motor assembly (A) from plastic bag,
then remove preassembled stabilizer tabs.
Discard bag and tabs.
3. Remove the six preassembled screws of the
motor coupler from the motor assembly (A).
Retain screws for later use.
Note: Make sure to keep loose hardware

5. Position blade (H) through slot in motor
assembly (A) and over threaded posts so
they are showing. Note: Make sure the bottom
edge of the blade (H) is fully seated against
the flywheel of motor assembly (A).
6. Secure blade (H) to motor assembly (A) with
washers (BB) and screws (AA). Repeat Steps
5 and 6 for remaining blades (H).

9. Remove the hanger ball portion from the
downrod assembly (C) by loosening the
preassembled set screw in the hanger ball
until the ball falls freely down the downrod.
Remove the preassembled pin from the
downrod, then remove the hanger ball. Retain
the pin and hanger ball for later use.

8. Remove the preassembled hairpin clip and
clevis pin from the bottom of downrod
assembly (C). Retain for later use.
Note: Make sure to keep loose hardware
separate to avoid confusion during installation.

7. Re-assemble the upper housing cover and
motor coupler washer to the motor. Secure
with six screws previously removed in Step 3,
page 6.

10. Route the black and white wires from motor
assembly (A) through the downrod.

11. Thread the downrod into downrod support of
motor assembly (A). Align the holes in the
downrod support of the motor assembly (A)
with the holes in the downrod and install the
clevis pin previously removed in Step 8, page
8. Secure clevis pin with hairpin clip also
removed in Step 8 Then, re-install screws
previously removed in Step 2, page 6 into
downrod support of motor assembly (A) to
secure downrod.
WARNING
It is critical the clevis pin in the downrod support
is properly installed and the screws are securely
tightened. Failure to do so could result in the fan
falling and causing injury.
12. Route motor coupling cover (F), canopy
screw cover (E) and ceiling canopy (D) over
fixture wires from motor assembly (A).

14. Measure approximately 6 to 9 in. of lead wire
from the top of the downrod assembly (C),
then cut off the excess. Strip insulation off 1/2
in. from the end of each lead wire.

13. Re-attach the pin previously removed in Step
9, page 8 into the downrod, then align the
hanger ball so the pin is captured in the
groove at the top. Pull the hanger ball tight
against the pin, then tighten the
preassembled set screw in hanger ball.
A loose set screw could result in a wobbly fan.

15. Securely attach the hanger bracket (B) to the
outlet box (not included) using the outlet box
screws and washers supplied with the outlet
box.
WARNING
The outlet box must be securely anchored.
Hanger bracket (B) must seat firmly against
outlet box. If the outlet box is recessed, remove
wallboard until hanger bracket (B) contacts box.
If hanger bracket (B) and/or outlet box are not
securely attached, the fan could wobble or fall.

16. Carefully lift the fan assembly, resting the
hanger ball of the downrod assembly (C) on
the hanger bracket (B).
Note: Be sure the groove in the hanger ball
is lined up with tab on the hanger bracket (B).
WARNING
Failure to seat tab in groove could cause damage
to electrical wires and possible shock or fire
hazard.
To avoid possible shock, do not pinch wires
between the downrod assembly (C) and hanger
bracket (B).

WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
1. To set the transmitter code, remove battery
cover on the remote from remote pack (I) by
pressing firmly below the arrow and sliding
cover off. With a small screwdriver or ball point
pen (neither included), slide switches firmly up
or down. Once desired setting is made,
replace battery cover on remote.
Note: Factory setting is all up. Do not use this
position.

Note: The remote in remote pack (I) has 16 different code combinations. To prevent possible
interference from or to other remote units, simply change the combination code in the transmitter and
receiver.
WARNING
To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure electricity is turned off at the main fuse box before wiring

kit (J), slide switches to the same positions as

and downrod assembly (C) to bare (ground) wire
from the outlet box using wire connector (CC).
Connect black wire from receiver unit from the
power kit (J) marked “AC IN L” to black supply
wire using wire connector (CC). Connect white
wire from receiver unit from the power kit (J )
marked “AC IN N” to white supply wire using wire
connector (CC). Connect white wire from
receiver unit from the power kit (J) marked “TO
MOTOR N” to white wire from fan using wire
connector supplied with power kit from the
power kit (J). Connect black wire from receiver
unit from the power kit (J) marked “TO MOTOR
L” to black wire from fan using wire connector
supplied with power kit (J).
Note: During wiring process, be careful not to
cut or bend black antenna.
WARNING
Check to see all connections are tight and no
bare wire is visible at the wire connectors
except for the ground wire.

5. After connections have been made, turn wires
upward and carefully push wires into the outlet
box, with the white and green wires to one side
of the box and the black wires toward the other
side.

1. Remove one of the two preassembled
shoulder screws in the hanger bracket (B).
Loosen the second shoulder screw without
fully removing it. Then, rotate ceiling canopy
(D) so second shoulder screw moves into the
small opening of the keyslot. Tighten shoulder
screw and re-install the previously removed
shoulder screw to secure ceiling canopy (D) to
hanger bracket (B).
FINAL ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
2. Securely attach and tighten the canopy
screw cover (E) over the shoulder screws in
the hanger bracket (B), utilizing the keyslot
twist-lock feature.
WARNING
To avoid possible fire or shock, make sure the
electrical wires are completely inside the canopy
housing and not pinched between the housing
and the ceiling.

4. Remove one of the three preassembled
screws inside the support bracket of the motor
assembly (A) and retain for later use. Slightly
loosen the remaining screws.
Note: Make sure to keep loose hardware
separate to avoid confusion during installation.

5. Align the large opening of the keyslots on
switch cup assembly (G) with the loosened
screws on motor assembly (A). Turn switch
cup assembly (G) clockwise until the
loosened screws slide into the narrow opening
of the keyslots. Replace the third screw
previously removed in Step 4, page 15, then
tighten all three screws securely.

switch cup assembly (G) by removing the
three preassembled screws. Retain screws for

wall controller or dimmer switch. Doing so could
result in damage to the ceiling fan's remote control
unit.

5. To optimize your fan for seasonal performance, use
the reverse switch located on the bottom of switch
cup assembly (G). Turn clockwise once for summer
airflow (downward) and turn clockwise twice for winter
airflow (upward).

1. Interchanging positions of adjacent blades (H)
can redistribute the weight and result in
smoother operation. If wobble decreases,
leave blades (H) as they are. If wobble
increases, switch back to original position and
attach the balancing clip from balance kit (DD)
to the mid-point on the top edge of one
blade (H).

observe wobble. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for
each blade (H) and note which blade (H) has
the least wobble. On that blade (H), attach the
balancing clip to the top edge of the blade (H)
near the motor assembly (A). Restart the fan
and observe wobble. Stop the fan and move
the balancing clip in small steps toward the
end of the blade (H). At each incremental step,
turn on the fan and observe the wobble.
Determine the location of the balancing clip
that results in the least amount of wobble.
3. Peel the backing paper from one of the
weighted squares in the balance kit (DD).

(H). Remove the balancing clip, start the fan
and observe. If the wobble still persists, repeat

onto the blade until it touches the edge of the
blade. Failure to do so could allow clip toÀ\off

4. Motor noise caused by solid state
