compatibility, comply with all applicable environment legislation and strengthen the green
supply chain.
Your vehicle is conforming to latest (Bharat stage-IV norms) regulation for emission, safety &
noise levels. We are also using non asbestos brake shoes/pads and engine gaskets which are
environment friendly in nature.
This vehicle is fitted with a lighting feature known as “Automatic Headlamp ON”. The feature
is mandated for all 2 Wheelers by Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (Government of
India) vide notification GSR 188 (E) dated 22nd February 2016. This feature helps in
conspicuity for improving rider safety. The headlamp of this vehicle will always be lit ON when
the engine gets ON.
This booklet is your guide to the basic operation and maintenance of your new
Hero MotoCorp Super Splendor. Please take time to read it carefully. As with any fine
machine, proper care and maintenance are essential for trouble-free operation and optimum
performance.
Your Authorised Hero MotoCorp dealer will be glad to provide further information or

ŸTest drive the vehicle if required for reported troubles, if any.
ŸWash the vehicle, blow dry with air.
ŸFuel line inspection.
ŸInspect throttle free play and operation, adjust if necessary.
ŸClean carburetor, adjust if necessary.
ŸClean air cleaner element.
ŸInspect and clean the spark plug, adjust if necessary.
ŸInspect the valve clearance, adjust if necessary.
ŸReplace engine oil.
ŸClean engine oil strainer screen.
ŸClean engine oil centrifugal filter.
ŸInspect electric starter operation.
ŸInspect oil circulation.
ŸInspect, clean, lubricate and adjust the drive chain, if necessary.
ŸInspect the drive chain slider.
ŸInspect battery voltage and charge if required.
ŸInspect brake shoe wear, adjust if necessary.
ŸInspect stop lamp switch, horn and adjust if necessary.
ŸInspect headlamp focus and adjust if necessary.
ŸInspect clutch lever free play, adjust if necessary.
ŸLubricate the side stand and main stand.
ŸInspect and clean the side stand switch.
ŸInspect whether i3s system is working properly.
ŸInspect nuts, bolts, fasteners and tighten it to the specified torque.
ŸInspect the wheel bearings free play, replace if necessary.
ŸInspect wheels/tyres. Inflate tyre to specified pressure.
ŸInspect steering for smooth operation.
ŸInspect front suspension/oil.
ŸInspect rear suspension mounting bushes play, replace if necessary.
ŸInspect the hoses for deterioration, damage or loose connections and
canister for cracks or other damages.
ŸTest drive the vehicle for repair of problems reported.
ŸPolish entire vehicle.
