1. ConnectkeyboardRS-485toback-endKBinterfaces,T+toD+,T-toD-throughtwistedpair.
Noteonlyback-end withKB interfaceonrear panel couldbecontrolledby 485keyboard
(485interfaceonNVR/DVRis for backend to controlanalog PTZ)
2. ConfigureBack-end DeviceNo,thisnumber rangesfrom0-255(0isnot recommended,it
meancontrolall), youcanconfigureonbackend GUIor webinterface
3. Loginkeyboard,use FOCUS+/A buttontoswitchbetweennumber,capitaland lowercase
letters.(Youcanchooseremember passwordonyournext login)

4. Go tokeyboard system menu, 4.Serial Port, RS-485 to configurekeyboard485
parameter
485parametersof backend KB interfacearefixed,so youalwaysneedtoconfigure Baud
Rate 9600, Bit Rate 8,Stop Bit 1, and Parity None, click OK buttonto savethesettings

5. Press MODE button, enter 3.DVR by IP Mode
6. ClickNum (DevNoyousettledonbackend)button+DEV buttontoselectdeviceyouwant
tocontrol.Tillthisstep,youcangaincontrol overbackend and therewill beresponseon
GUI4.0 whenyouoperatekeyboard
7. ThereareseverallayersdefinedonbackendGUI4.0,youcanpress ESC buttontoquitto
topmenu(sometimesyouneedtopress ESC for severaltimes, youcanmovejoystick to
see if device’s under topmenu,therewillbeblueiconwhenyoupushthestick)

Press OK buttonorbuttononjoystick to maketheselection
Plsnotethatmouseconnectedonbackend willhaveinfluenceonkeyboardcontrol(e.g.
if youmovethemouseby accident, youhaveto click ESC buttonto quit again)
Also ifyouquitcurrentmenu byaccident, youneedtoenterothermenu first, and then
ESC and enterpreviousmenu again(thisisalittle complicated,becauseof definitionin
GUI4.0 layer, under optimizationdevelopment now)
8. OnceyouenteredLiveview Mode,
1)Youcanpress NUM buttontoselect thecamerayouwanttosee (ifyouwanttoview
camera 11, just press number 1twicequickly)
2) Or pushjoystick left/rightto changecamera to last/next one
3) Youcanpress FOCUS-/MULT buttonto createwindow divisiononeby one, 2,4,6, etc…,
and usejoystick to switchbetweenpages

4) Press IRIS-/PTZ buttonto enter PTZ mode,and use joystick tocontrolPTZ
Press PRESET/REC button+ NUM buttontocallcamerapreset
And youcanpress ESC buttononceto go back to liveview
9. To controlplayback
1) Press NUM buttonto select thecamerayouwantplayback
2)AndPATTERN/PLAY buttontoselectdate(usejoysticktomakeswitch),clickOKtomake
selection
