1.OutputSocket: Usedtogivetheoutputforthetreatmentwiththehelpofleadwire.
2. Patient Switch: - There is a patientemergency stop switch whichisconnected to thedevicevia
cabletoturnoffthedeviceimmediatelybypatient.WhenthePatientpressedtheEmergencyStop
Button,thedevicewillpauseallstimulations(allstartedtreatments)withoutany delay.The
resume oftreatmentscanbe done only throughmainuserinterface–itmeansthatpaused
treatmentscannotberesumedbyPatientSwitch,againyouhavetostartthetreatmentbytapon
thestart/stopoption.
3.PowerInput:Itisusedtoconnectthelinecordintothegroundedwalloutlet.
4.RockerSwitch:-Tostart(ON)thedevicepresstherockerswitch.
5.Output1and2Icon:ThisIconisusedtoselecttheoutputchannel1&2orchannel3&4.The
backlightindicationwillprovideinfoaboutselectedchannels(output).
6.Mode Selection Icon –This optionisusedtoselect the treatment modes asper
requirement:IFT(IFC),TENS,GALVANIC,HIGHVOLTAGE,FARADIC.
7.Start/Stop Icon: Start/Stopicon on thepanelis provided to start or stop a particulartreatment.
8.SetupIcon –Usedto select or enter thefollowing parametersoftreatment: CyclicON,Cyclic
OFF, Ramp Up/Down, Frequency, Low Beat Frequency; High BeatFrequency,PulseWidth.
9.Time/Intensity/Polarity/ Increment / Decrement(Up/Down) Selection Icon: Thisicon isused for
setup the treatment time/Intensity/Polarity andincreasingordecreasingthe following
parameters: Time, CyclicON, CyclicOff, Ramp Up/Down, Frequency, Low Beat Frequency,High
BeatFrequency,PulseWidth,presetProtocols,Time,Intensity.
10. Preset:- Thisiconisusedforselectingpresettreatments.

Please read thisinstruction manualcarefullybefore usingHILL IFCbecauseitis unsafe to start
using the devicebeforereading the whole manual. Theinstructionon the following pageswill
show youhowto use andcare foryourHILLIFCinageneralmanner.You shouldbeparticularly
familiarwiththeprescriptionandinformationprecautionsbeforeproceeding.
PurposeofThisManual
Thismanual containsimportantinformation regardingthe safe and effective operationofyour
HILL IFC. YourHILL IFCisanelectrical device thatcan provide yearsofusefulservice withthe
propercareandmaintenance,asdescribedinthismanual.
1.1 CAUTION
• This devicemust beusedonlyunder thecontinuedsupervisionof aphysicianorlicensed
practitionerinthestatehe/shepractices.
• DO NOT operate thisunitinan environmentwhere other devices are being used that
intentionallyradiateselectromagneticenergyinanunshieldedmanner.
• DONOTusesharpobjectssuchaspencilpointorballpointpentooperatethebuttonson
thetouchscreen.
• Thisunitshould be operatedintemperature between+10°Cto+40°C,transportedand
storedintemperaturebetween-30°Cto+60°C,withrelativehumidityrangesfrom10%to
95%.
• TheHILL IFC system is not designated to prevent the ingressof waterliquids. Ingress of
water
or liquidscouldcausemalfunction of internal components of thesystem and therefore create a
risk of injuryto the patient.
1.2Warnings
• Thelong-termeffectsofchronicelectricalstimulationareunknown.
• Stimulationshouldnotbeappliedoverthecarotidsinusnerves,particularinpatientwith
knownsensitivitytothecarotidsinusreflex.
• Theelectrodeshouldnotbeappliedovertheneckormouth,oranywhereelseonthehead.
Ifstimulationisappliedovertheneckormouthespecially,severespasmofthelaryngealand
pharyngealmusclemayoccurandthecontractionmaybestrongenoughtoclosetheairway
orcausedifficultyinbreathing.
• Stimulationshouldnotbeappliedtransthoracially in that theintroduction ofelectrical
currentintotheheartmaycausecardiacarrhythmias.
• Stimulationshouldnotbeappliedoverswollen,infected,orinflamedareasorskineruption,
e.g.phlebitis,thrombophlebitis,varicoseveins,etc.
• Stimulationshouldnotbeappliedover,orinproximityto,cancerouslesion.
1.3Precautions
• SafetyoftheHILLIFCforuseduringpregnancyhasnotbeenestablished.
• Cautionshouldbeusedforpatientwithsuspectedordiagnosedheartproblems.
• Cautionshouldbeusedforpatientswithsuspectedordiagnosedepilepsy.

• Cautionshouldbeusedinpresenceoffollowing:
• Whenthereisatendencyofhemorrhagefollowingacutetraumaorfracturefollowing
recentsurgicalprocedureswhenmusclecontractionmaydisruptthehealingprocess
• Overthemenstruatingorpregnantuterus
• Overareaoftheskinwhichlacknormalsensation.Somepatientsmayexperienceskin
irritationorhypersensitivityduetotheelectricalstimulationorelectricalconductive
medium.Theirritationcanusuallybereducedbyusinganalternateconductivemediumor
alternateelectrodeplacement.
• Stimulationsettingsshouldbebasedontheguidanceoftheprescribingpractitioner.
Electrodeplacementshouldbebasedontheguidanceoftheprescribingphysician.
• HILLIFCshouldbekeptoutofthereachofchildren.TheHILLIFCshouldbeusedonly
withtheelectrodecablesandelectrodesrecommendedforusebythemanufacturer.
• TheHILLIFCshouldnotbeusedwhiledriving,operatingmachineryorduringanyactivityin
whichInvoluntarymusclecontractionmayputtheuseratundueriskofinjury.
• Ensuretheintensityisadjustedslowlyandsmoothlyandnotincreasedbeyondthe
patient'stolerance.
• WhiletreatmentDonotliftelectrodesofftheskinwithouttheintensitybeingturneddown
tozerofirst.
• Alsobeawareoftheskin'sresistanceasthismaysuddenlydropcausingtheintensityto
increase.
1.4 AdverseReactions
Skinirritationandbumsbeneaththeelectrodeshavebeenreportedwithuseofthisdevice.
1.5Conditions
ThataffectUseTheuserneedselectricoutletnearthetreatmentarea.
• Theunitshouldnotbeusedinwetenvironment.
• PatientshouldnotmovewhilethetreatmentisON,thismaycauseelectrodestoleavethe
skinorelectrodecablesmaybreak.
1.6Contraindicatedconditions
It
is
contraindicated
to
apply
therapeutic
ultrasound
to
patients
with
any
of
the
following
conditions:

5.1PREPARINGELECTRODES:
• Useonlytheelectrodecablesandelectrodesprovidedwiththedevicebymanufacturer.
• Makesurethattheentiresurfaceoftheelectrodeisinfirmcontactwiththeskin.
• Prepare the skinprior to electrodeapplication. Cleaningof skin shalleliminate any
impairment to current conduction on thepatient's skinsuchasan oily or dry surface,or
excessive hair coverage. Shaving maybenecessarydependingupon the densityofhair
coverage.
• Failuretoprovideformaximumcurrentconductionefficiencycouldresultinskinirritation
relatingtoincreaseincurrentdensityatelectrodesite.
• Westrongly recommendcareful maintenanceof theelectrodes. This includesthe
maintenanceofelectrodecableandtheelectrodes.Worncablesand/orpoorelectrodes(or
wrongsizedelectrodes)canhaveasignificantimpactupontreatmentresults.
5.2INSTRUCTIONFORUSECARBONELECTRODE
5.3PREREQUISITES:
• Electrodesshouldneverbeplacedinsuchamannerastoproducecurrentflowthroughthe
cardiacarea. Thepatientshouldbesuitably positionedensuring maximumcomfortand
suitableexposureofthebodyparttobetreated.
• Carefully mark the points whereelectrodes are to beplacedandplace the electrodes
accordingly.
• Theelectrodesshouldbeappliedtothemarkedpoints.
• Thepatientshouldbeexplainedaboutthesubjectivesensorymotorfeelingthathe/shewill
experience. The patient should experienceasensation of deep, sufficiently strongbut
pleasantvibrationsatrhythmicalfrequenciesandapleasanttinglingsensation.
• Patientshouldimmediatelyinformthetherapist,ofanyunpleasantsensationoranyother
discomfort.
• Reviewprerequisites,contraindicationsandadversereactionslistedabovebeforestarting
thedevice.

the time duration from 5 minutes to 60 minutes withthehelpofincrement option.The
increment(step)inprocessofsetupthetreatmenttimeis5minute.
6.6DEVICEINTENSITY
Thestrength of stimulationwillbe controlledbyIntensity. TheIntensity canbeadjusted
duringatreatmentorwhenthetreatmentispaused.Youcanadjusttheintensityfrom1to
100withthehelpofincrementoption.

PressOutput1--timeandintensitywillbeshown,thenpressOutput2toseeitssettings.
Tostopbothoutputs
•Youmuststoponeatatime.HoldtheStart/Stopfor2to3secondstostoptheoutputthat
ispresentlyselected.NowselecttheotheroutputandholdtheStart/Stopbuttonagainfor
2to3seconds.
If the unit is turned off using the patient switch, both outputs will be stopped at the same
time.

Devicemustbecleanedthoroughlypriortousagetoremovevisiblesoil.Tocleanthedevice,
useasoftclothslightlymoistenedwithwater.Neveruseagentscontainingalcohol,chlorine,
ammonia,acetone,benzeneorthinners.
•
Cleanthetouchscreengentlybyusingadrysoftcloth.Theclothmaybeslightlymoistened
withacommerciallyavailablescreencleaner.Neverapplythecleanerdirectlytothescreen!

Cleanthelead wires after each use withdisinfectantsapproved for useinmedical
environments. Donot use agents containingchlorineor those with a highalcohol content
(morethan20%).

Useasoftclothslightlymoistenedwithdisinfectant.Afterdisinfection,theaccessoriesmust
berinsedwithasoftclothslightlymoistenedwithcleanwatersoastopreventanundesired
allergicreaction!

Thedevice’saccessoriesaredesignedfornon-invasiveuse;therefore,theydonotneedtobe
sterileandcannotbesterilized

Storetheelectrodesinare-sealablepouchorplasticbag.
•
Ifelectrodesgetsoiledorlosetheiradhesion;itisadvisedthatyoureplacethem.

Afterusinganyoftheseelectrodes,graspthecorneroftheelectrodeandgentlyremoveit
fromyourskin.
•
Donotpullontheelectrodesnaporwireconnection.Reapplythereleaselinertothe
