2 Sicherheit
2.1 Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG Lesen Sie alle Sicherheitshinweise, Anweisungen, Bebilderungen und technischen Da-
ten, mit denen dieses Elektrowerkzeug versehen ist. Versäumnisse bei der Einhaltung der nachfolgenden
Anweisungen können elektrischen Schlag, Brand und/oder schwere Verletzungen verursachen.
Bewahren Sie alle Sicherheitshinweise und Anweisungen für die Zukunft auf.
Arbeitsplatzsicherheit
▶Halten Sie Ihren Arbeitsbereich sauber und gut beleuchtet. Unordnung oder unbeleuchtete Arbeitsberei-
che können zu Unfällen führen.
▶Halten Sie den Arbeitsbereich und die Umgebungsluft frei von Stäuben und weiteren Substanzen, wie
korrosiven Gasen.
▶Halten Sie Kinder und andere Personen während der Benutzung des Produktes fern.
Elektrische Sicherheit
▶Ein Stromschlag kann lebensgefährlich oder sogar tödlich sein.

oder den Stecker sofort aus.
▶Betreiben Sie das Ladegerät nicht, wenn es einen harten Schlag erhalten hat, fallen gelassen wurde oder
in anderer Weise beschädigt wurde.
▶Zerlegen Sie das Ladegerät nicht. Ein falscher Neuzusammenbau kann zu Brandgefahr und elektrischem
Schlag führen. Falls Wartung oder Reparatur erforderlich sein sollten, wenden Sie sich an den Hilti
Service.
▶Betreiben Sie Produkte mit einem Schutzleiter nur an einem Stromnetz mit Schutzleiter und einer
Netzsteckdose mit Schutzleiterkontakt.

Sorgfältiger Umgang und Gebrauch von Ladegeräten
▶Laden Sie mit dem Ladegerät nur den Akku des Schweißgerätes Hilti FX 3-A, um Verletzungen zu
vermeiden.
▶Um Verletzungen zu vermeiden, betreiben Sie das Produkt nur mit vollfunktionsfähigen Sicherheitsein-
richtungen. Bevor Sie das Produkt einschalten, stellen Sie sicher, dass niemand gefährdet wird.
▶Benutzen Sie das Produkt und Zubehör nur in technisch einwandfreiem Zustand.
▶Nehmen Sie niemals Manipulationen oder Veränderungen an Produkt oder Zubehör vor.
▶Die Verwendung von Zubehör, welches nicht von Hilti empfohlen oder verkauft wird, kann zu Brandgefahr,
einem elektrischen Schlag oder zur Verletzung von Personen führen.
▶Der Standort des Ladegerätes soll sauber, kühl, trocken und frostfrei sein.
▶Während des Ladevorgangs muss das Ladegerät Wärme abgeben können. Nehmen Sie dafür das
Ladegerät aus dem Gerätekoffer. Laden Sie nicht in einem geschlossenen Behälter.
▶Pflegen Sie das Produkt mit Sorgfalt. Kontrollieren Sie, ob Teile gebrochen oder so beschädigt sind, dass
die Funktion des Gerätes beeinträchtigt ist. Lassen Sie beschädigte Teile vor dem Einsatz des Gerätes
reparieren.
▶Bei falscher Anwendung kann Flüssigkeit aus dem Akku austreten. Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt damit. Bei
zufälligem Kontakt mit Wasser abspülen. Wenn die Flüssigkeit in die Augen kommt, nehmen Sie zusätzlich
ärztliche Hilfe in Anspruch. Austretende Flüssigkeit kann zu Hautreizungen oder Verbrennungen führen.
▶Ein beschädigtes Schweißgerät (zum Beispiel mit Rissen, gebrochenen Teilen, verbogenen, zurückge-
stoßenen und/oder herausgezogenen Kontakten) darf weder geladen noch weiter verwendet werden.
Service
▶Lassen Sie Ihr Produkt nur von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal und nur mit Original-Ersatzteilen reparieren.
Damit wird sichergestellt, dass die Sicherheit des Produktes erhalten bleibt.

3.2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das beschriebene Produkt ist ein Ladegerät für das Schweißgerät FX 3-A. Es ist, je nach nationaler
Ausführung, für den Anschluss an Steckdosen mit 100 bis 127 Volt oder 220 bis 240 Volt Wechselspannung
bestimmt. Beachten Sie die Angaben auf dem Typenschild Ihres Ladegerätes.

3.2.1 Vorhersehbare Fehlanwendung
Laden Sie mit dem Produkt niemals andere Akkus oder Produkte, als das Hilti FX 3-A.
3.3 Einsatz von Verlängerungskabel
Die Verwendung eines unsachgemäßen Verlängerungskabels kann zu Brandgefahr und elektrischem Schlag
führen. Wenn die Verwendung eines Verlängerungskabels erforderlich ist, stellen Sie sicher, dass
• die Stifte des Verlängerungskabel-Steckers hinsichtlich Anzahl, Größe und Form dem Stecker des
Ladegerätes entsprechen,
• das Verlängerungskabel richtig verdrahtet und in gutem elektrischen Zustand ist,
• die Kabelgröße ausreichend groß ist für den AC-Amperewert des Ladegerätes.

5 Arbeitsvorbereitung
VORSICHT
Verletzungsgefahr! Unbeabsichtigter Anlauf des Produkts.
▶Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker, bevor Sie Geräteeinstellungen vornehmen oder Zubehörteile wechseln.
Beachten Sie die Sicherheits- und Warnhinweise in dieser Dokumentation und auf dem Produkt.
5.1 Produkt aufstellen
Aufstellungsbedingungen beim Laden und im Betrieb
• Während des Ladevorgangs muss das Ladegerät Wärme abgeben können, deshalb müssen die
Lüftungsschlitze frei sein.
• Damit das Produkt nicht um- oder runterfällt, muss der Untergrund eben sein.
• Das Ladegerät besitzt keinen Schutz gegen eindringende Feuchtigkeit und darf nur in trockenen
Innenräumen verwendet werden.
5.2 Akku laden 2
Laden Sie den Akku vor der Erstinbetriebnahme vollständig auf.
1. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Kontakte von Schweißgerät und Ladegerät sauber und trocken sind.
2. Schließen Sie das Ladekabel an das Ladegerät und an das Schweißgerät an.
3. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker des Netzkabels in eine Steckdose.
▶Die Netzanzeige sowie die Ladeanzeige am Ladegerät leuchten konstant.
▶Die Akku-Ladezustandsanzeige am Schweißgerät blinkt und die Segmente zeigen den aktuellen
Ladezustand an.
4. Wenn Sie den Akku schneller laden wollen, drücken Sie die Schnellladetaste.
▶Die Netzanzeige sowie die Schnellladeanzeige am Ladegerät leuchten konstant.
▶Die Akku-Ladezustandsanzeige am Schweißgerät blinkt und die Segmente zeigen den aktuellen
Ladezustand an.
Um den Schnelllademodus auszuschalten, drücken Sie die Schnellladetaste erneut.
5. Ist der Akku vollständig geladen, schaltet das Ladegerät automatisch in den Wartungsmodus.
▶Am Ladegerät leuchten konstant die Netzanzeige und die Anzeige vollständig geladen. Am
Schweißgerät leuchten alle Segmente der Akku-Ladezustandsanzeige.
6. Ziehen Sie anschließend den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose und trennen Sie die Verbindung von
Ladegerät und Schweißgerät.
6 Pflege und Instandhaltung
WARNUNG
Gefahr durch elektrischen Schlag! Pflege und Instandhaltung mit eingestecktem Netzstecker und/oder
Ladekabel können zu schweren Verletzungen und Verbrennungen führen.
▶Vor allen Pflege- und Instandhaltungsarbeiten immer alle Kabel trennen!
Pflege
• Fest anhaftenden Schmutz vorsichtig entfernen.
• Gehäuse nur mit einem leicht angefeuchteten Tuch reinigen. Keine silikonhaltigen Pflegemittel verwenden,
da diese die Kunststoffteile angreifen können.
Instandhaltung
WARNUNG
Gefahr durch Stromschlag! Unsachgemäße Reparaturen an elektrischen Bauteilen können zu schweren
Verletzungen und Verbrennungen führen.
▶Reparaturen an elektrischen Teilen dürfen nur durch eine Elektrofachkraft ausgeführt werden.
• Regelmäßig alle sichtbaren Teile auf Beschädigungen und die Bedienelemente auf einwandfreie Funktion
prüfen.

• Bei Beschädigungen und/oder Funktionsstörungen das Produkt nicht betreiben. Sofort vom Hilti Service
reparieren lassen.
• Nach Pflege- und Instandhaltungsarbeiten alle Schutzeinrichtungen anbringen und auf Funktion prüfen.
Verwenden Sie für einen sicheren Betrieb nur original Ersatzteile und Verbrauchsmaterialien. Von
uns freigegebene Ersatzteile, Verbrauchsmaterialien und Zubehör für Ihr Produkt finden Sie in Ihrem

7 Transport und Lagerung
▶Prüfen Sie nach jedem Transport alle sichtbaren Teile auf Beschädigung und die Bedienelemente auf
einwandfreie Funktion.
▶Prüfen Sie nach längerer Lagerung alle sichtbaren Teile auf Beschädigung und die Bedienelemente auf
einwandfreie Funktion.
▶Lagern Sie das Produkt nicht in einer explosionsgefährdeten Umgebung.
▶Lagern Sie dieses Produkt immer mit gezogenem Netzstecker.

▶Do not wrap leads and lines round your body or parts of the body.
▶Disconnect products not in use from the AC supply.
▶Disconnect the AC supply and the connection between welding machine and charger before beginning
cleaning and maintenance work or if charging is interrupted.
▶Do not expose the product to rain or snow. Avoid ingress of moisture.
▶To reduce the risk of damage to connectors and leads, when disconnecting always pull only the
connector, never the lead.
▶Do not operate the charger with a damaged lead or connector. Immediately replace the damaged lead
or connector.
▶Do not operate the charger if it has received a hard knock, was dropped or has been damaged in any
other way.
▶Do not disassemble the charger. Incorrect re-assembly can lead to a fire risk and electric shock. If
maintenance or repair becomes necessary, consult Hilti Service.
▶Operate products with a protective earth conductor only when connected to a power supply system with
protective earth and a power outlet with protective earth contact.
Battery charger use and care
▶To avoid injuries, use the charger only to charge the battery of the Hilti FX 3-A welding machine.
▶To avoid injuries, operate the product only with all safety devices in full working order. Before you switch
the product on, make sure that no-one is going to be put at risk.
▶Use the product and accessories only when they are in perfect working order.
▶Never tamper with or modify the product or accessories in any way.
▶The use of accessories not recommended or sold by Hilti can lead to a fire hazard, an electric shock or
injury to persons.
▶The location at which the charger is used should be clean, cool, dry and protected from frost.
▶The charger must be able to give off heat while charging is in progress. Accordingly, remove the charger
from the toolbox. Do not operate the charger inside a closed container.
▶Maintain the product carefully. Check to ensure that no parts are broken or damaged in such a way that
the appliance may no longer function correctly. If parts are damaged, have the parts repaired before
using the appliance.
▶Misuse can result in liquid escaping from the battery. Avoid contact with this liquid. If contact accidentally
occurs, rinse with water. Seek medical attention if the liquid comes into contact with the eyes. Liquid
escaping from the battery can cause skin irritation or burns.
▶Do not charge or continue to use a damaged welding machine (e.g. with cracks, broken parts, bent or
pushed-in and/or pulled-out contacts).
Service
▶Have your product repaired only by qualified, skilled personnel, using only genuine Hilti spare parts. The
safety of the product can thus be maintained.

3.2 Intended use
The product described is a charger for the FX 3-A welding machine. It is designed to be connected to power
outlets providing an AC (alternating current) voltage of 100 to 127 volts or 220 to 240 volts (depending on
country-specific version). Observe the information on the type identification plate of your charger.

3.2.1 Foreseeable misuse
Never try to use the product to charge other batteries or products other than the Hilti FX 3-A.
3.3 Using extension cords
The use of an inappropriate extension cord can lead to risk of fire and electric shock. If the use of an
extension cord is necessary, make sure that
• the pins of the extension cord connector are of the matching number, size and shape to mate with the
connector of the charger,
• the extension cord is correctly wired and in good electrical condition,
• the conductor gauge is adequate for the charger's AC amperage.

5 Preparations at the workplace
CAUTION

5.1 Setting up the product
Set-up conditions for charging and in operation
• The charger must be able to emit heat while in operation. The air vents must therefore remain
unobstructed.
• The surface on which the product is set must be smooth and level, so that the product does not tip over
or fall.
• The charger has no protection against the ingress of moisture and is to be used inside dry rooms only.
5.2 Charging the battery 2
Fully charge the battery before using it for the first time.
1. Make sure that the contacts on the welding machine and the contacts on the charger are clean and dry.
2. Connect the charging cord to the charger and to the welding machine.
3. Plug the supply cord plug into a power outlet.
▶The power-in indicator and the charge indicator on the charger show steadily.
▶The battery charge state indicator on the welding machine flashes and the segments show the
battery's current state of charge.
4. If you want to charge the battery more quickly, press the quick charge button.

To switch off the quick charge mode, press the quick charge button again.

6. Then disconnect the supply cord plug from the power outlet and disconnect the connection between
charger and welding machine.

6 Care and maintenance

and/or the charging cord connected can lead to severe injury and burns.

• Carefully remove stubborn dirt from the tool.
• Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the casing. Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone as
these can attack the plastic parts.

2 Veiligheid
2.1 Veiligheidsinstructies
WAARSCHUWING Lees alle veiligheidsaanwijzingen, aanwijzingen, afbeeldingen en technische
gegevens, waarvan het apparaat voorzien is. Wanneer de volgende aanwijzingen niet in acht worden
genomen, kan dit een elektrische schok, brand en/of ernstig letsel tot gevolg hebben.
Bewaar alle veiligheidsinstructies en voorschriften goed.
Veiligheid op de werkplek
▶Houd uw werkgebied schoon en goed verlicht. Een rommelig of onverlicht werkgebied kan tot ongevallen
leiden.
▶Houd het werkgebied en de omgevingslucht vrij van stof en andere stoffen, zoals corrosief gas.
▶Houd kinderen en andere personen tijdens het gebruik van het product uit de buurt.
Elektrische veiligheid
▶Een elektrische schok kan levensgevaarlijk of zelfs dodelijk zijn.
▶Raak geen spanningsvoerende onderdelen binnen en buiten het product aan.
▶Vervang losse verbindingen en beschadigde kabels vóór gebruik. Alle kabels en leidingen moeten
vast, onbeschadigd en geïsoleerd zijn.
▶Wikkel kabels en leidingen niet om het lichaam of lichaamsdelen.
▶Koppel de gebruikte producten niet los van de stroomvoorziening.
▶Maak de stroomvoorziening en de verbinding tussen het lasapparaat en de acculader los alvorens
reinigings- en onderhoudswerkzaamheden uit te voeren of bij een onderbreking van het opladen.
▶Het product niet blootstellen aan regen of sneeuw. Voorkom dat er vocht binnendringt.
▶Om het risico op beschadiging van stekkers en kabels te verkleinen, bij het losmaken altijd alleen aan de
stekker, nooit aan de kabel trekken.
▶Gebruik de acculader niet met een beschadigde kabel of stekker. Vervang de kabel of de stekker direct.
▶Gebruik de acculader niet als het een harde schok heeft gehad, gevallen is of op een andere manier
beschadigd is.
▶Haal de acculader niet uit elkaar. Als deze verkeerd weer in elkaar wordt gezet, kan dit tot brandgevaar
en een elektrische schok leiden. Als onderhoud of reparatie nodig is, kunt u zich tot uw Hilti Service
wenden.
▶Gebruik producten met een geaard snoer alleen op een elektriciteitsnet met een geaard verlengsnoer en
een geaard stopcontact.
Gebruik en onderhoud van acculaders
▶Laad met de acculader alleen de accu van het lasapparaat Hilti FX 3-A, om letsel te voorkomen.
▶Om letsel te voorkomen dient u het product alleen met volledig functionele veiligheidsinrichtingen te
gebruiken. Voordat u het product ingeschakeld, moet u ervoor zorgen dat niemand in gevaar kan worden
gebracht.
▶Gebruik het product en de toebehoren alleen in een technisch optimale staat.
▶Voer nooit aanpassingen of veranderingen aan het product of toebehoren uit.
▶Het gebruik van toebehoren die niet door Hilti aanbevolen of verkocht worden, kan tot brand, een
elektrische schok of letsel bij personen leiden.
▶De plaats waar de acculader wordt gebruikt, dient koel, droog en vorstvrij te zijn.
▶Tijdens het opladen moet de acculader warmte kunnen afgeven. Neem de acculader hiervoor uit de
koffer. Niet opladen in een afgesloten omhulling.
▶Ga zorgvuldig met het product om. Controleer of er onderdelen gebroken of zo beschadigd zijn, dat
dit nadelig is voor het functioneren van het apparaat. Laat beschadigde delen repareren voordat u het
apparaat gebruikt.
▶Bij verkeerd gebruik kan vloeistof uit de accu lekken. Voorkom contact hiermee. Bij onvoorzien contact
met water afspoelen. Wanneer de vloeistof in de ogen komt, dient u bovendien een arts te raadplegen.
Gelekte accuvloeistof kan tot huidirritaties en verbrandingen leiden.

▶Een beschadigd lasapparaat (bijvoorbeeld met scheuren, gebroken onderdelen, verbogen, ingedrukte
en/of uitgetrokken contacten) mag niet meer worden opgeladen of gebruikt.

▶Laat het product alleen door gekwalificeerd en vakkundig personeel en alleen met originele vervangings-
onderdelen repareren. Daarmee wordt gewaarborgd dat de veiligheid van het product in stand blijft.

3.2 Correct gebruik
Het beschreven product is een acculader voor het lasapparaat FX 3-A. De acculader is, afhankelijk van de
landuitvoering, bestemd om te worden aangesloten op wandcontactdozen met 100 tot 127 V of 220 tot 240
V wisselspanning. Neem de gegevens op het typeplaatje van uw acculader in acht.

3.2.1 Te voorziene verkeerde toepassingen
Laad met het product nooit andere accu's of producten dan het Hilti FX 3-A op.
3.3 Gebruik van verlengsnoeren
Het gebruik van een verkeerd verlengsnoer kan tot brand en een elektrische schok leiden. Als het gebruik
van een verlengsnoer nodig is, zorg er dan voor dat
• de pennen van de stekker van het verlengsnoer voor wat betreft aantal, grootte en vorm met de stekker
van de acculader overeenkomen,
• het verlengsnoer correct bedraad en in goede elektrische toestand is,
• de capaciteit van het snoer voldoende groot is voor de AC-ampèrewaarde van de acculader.

3.3.2 Beveiliging tegen overbelasting
