INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS FAN
When using electrical appliances, basic
precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons,
including the following:
1. Use this fan only as described in this manual.
Other use not recommended as it may cause
fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
2. This product is intended for household
useONLY and not for commercial, industrial
or outdoor use.
3. To protect against electric shock, DO NOT
place fan in window, DO NOT immerse unit,
plug, or cord in water, and DO NOT spray
unit with liquids.
4. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of
electric shock, this plug is intended to fit only
one way in a polarized outlet. If the plug does
not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
DO NOTattempt to defeat this safety feature.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
6. Turn the fan OFF and unplug the fan from
the outlet when not in use, when moving the
fan from one location to another, and before
cleaning.
7. To disconnect the fan, first turn the unit OFF,
grip the plug and pull it from the wall outlet.
NEVER pull the plug by the cord.
8. DO NOT operate the fan in the presence
of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
9. DO NOT place the fan or any parts near an
open flame, cooking, or other heating appliance.
10. DO NOT use any product with a damaged
cord or plug, any product that malfunctions,
or any product that has been dropped or
damaged in any manner (see warranty).
11. Avoid contact with moving fan parts.
12. The use of attachments not recommended
by the manufacturer may be hazardous.
13. Place the fan on a dry, level surface.
14. DO NOT hang or mount fan on a wall
or ceiling.
15. DO NOT operate if the fan housing
is damaged.
16. A loose fit between the AC outlet (receptacle)
and plug may cause overheating and a
distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified
electrician to replace loose or worn outlet.
17. DO NOT operate any fan with a damaged
cord or plug. Discard any damaged fan, or
request a return authorization to return to
Kaz USA, Inc. for examination and/or repair.
18. DO NOT run fan cord under carpeting.
DO NOT cover cord with throw rugs, runners,
or similar coverings. DO NOT route cord
under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord
away from traffic areas and where it will not
be a tripping hazard.
19. DO NOT use an extension cord or power
strip with this fan.

This fan features a fused safety plug which is designed to cut off electric current to the fan if an electrical
fault occurs. Please see below for more information on how to properly use your fan and replace the safety
plug fuse, if needed.
FUSED SAFETY PLUG - FOR US MODELS ONLY
INTRODUCTION
USER SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS
• If your fan loses power and you suspect that the fuse on your fan has blown,
grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device. DO NOT
unplug by pulling on cord.
• Slide fuse cover, located on the top of the plug, towards the prongs of the plug.
(Fig. 1)
• Carefully remove the blown fuse and snap a new fuse into place. To Reduce the
Risk of Fire, replace fuse only with 2.5 Amp, 125 volt fuse. Fully close the fuse
door by sliding back into place. (Fig. 2) Discard the blown fuse. The plug should
now be ready for normal use.
• To Reduce the Risk of Fire, DO NOT replace attached plug.
Discard product if the attached plug is damaged.

Honeywell Air Circulator Fans can help save energy and lower monthly bills all year round. Our air circulators
increase distribution of cooler air from your air conditioner or warmer air from your heating system, creating
a vortex of air flow for increased comfort. Increased air flow allows the air conditioner and heating systems to
be used at lower settings to help save you money.
In the summer:
Circulate cool air by using with window
or central air conditioning.
In the winter:
Circulate warm air. Position your air circulator in an open location for
upward air movement. Run it on a low setting to move the hotter air
from the ceiling and circulate the warmer air throughout the room.
In the winter:
Use with other heat sources, such as wood stoves, baseboard heaters,
and/or vents to help circulate the warm air throughout the room.

A. BASE ASSEMBLY
• Align the front and back base pieces and gently push the halves until the pieces snap securely
together. (Fig 3).
B. SECURING THE TOWER FAN TO THE BASE
• At the base of the housing, remove the locking nut and set aside (Fig. 4)
• Carefully lift the fan housing (Fig. 5) and place the power cord through the center of the base.
• Lower the fan housing into the base (Fig. 6).
• Take the locking nut and thread the power cord through the locking nut and move the nut up
the power cord, (Fig.7). Attach the locking nut to the fan housing by turning clockwise until fully
tightened.
• The fan cord can exit either side of the base; choose which one is closer to your outlet. (Fig. 8)
• The back of this fan is intentionally closed. This allows the air intake and exit to happen at the front
grille. This aerodynamic cross-flow design harnesses the Turbo Force® power of your fan!
Note: DO NOT operate the tower fan unless it is in its proper, upright position.
• Be sure the fans are in the off position.
• Place your fan on a dry, level surface.
• Plug the power cord into a polarized 120-volt AC wall outlet, your fan is now ready to be used.
• To move the fan, turn the fans to OFF, unplug the unit from the wall outlet and pick the unit up
by the concealed handle located at the back of the top fan.

Individual controls allow you to operate each fan independently.
TOP FAN SPEED CONTROL
Turn the control knob to the desired fan speed High ( ), Medium ( ),
Low ( ) and off (Fig. 9).
BOTTOM FAN SPEED CONTROL
Turn the control knob to the desired fan speed: High ( ), Medium ( ),
Low ( ) and off (Fig. 10).
90° PIVOT
The adjustable pivot of the top fan head allows
for you to angle the airflow where you need
it most. The top fan head also pivots to 90°
allowing for room air circulation (Fig. 11).
OSCILLATION
To activate the oscillation feature, press the
oscillation ( ) button once. Press the oscillation button again to turn the
oscillation feature off. (Fig 10).

Individual controls allow you to operate each fan independently.
ON/OFF AND TOP FAN SPEED CONTROL
To turn the unit on and adjust the speed press the ( ). Press the ( )
once for Low, press again for Medium and press again for the High setting,
pressing once more turns the unit off. (Fig. 12).
ON/OFF BOTTOM FAN SPEED CONTROL
To turn the unit on and adjust the speed press the ( ). Press the ( ) once for
Low, press again for Medium and press again for the High setting, pressing
once more turns the unit off. (Fig. 13).
90° PIVOT
The adjustable pivot of the top fan head allows for you to angle the airflow
where you need it most. The top fan head also pivots to 90° allowing for
room air circulation.

HYF550 REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION
To activate the battery, simply pull the plastic tab
ON/OFF AND SPEED CONTROL
To turn the unit on and adjust the speed setting, press the
fan button ()repeatedly for low, medium, high and off.
Each fan is operated independently, select the fan speed
setting for each unit that meets your needs.
OSCILLATION
To activate the oscillation feature, press the oscillation button
() once. Press the oscillation button again to turn the oscillation
feature off.
Remote Control Storage
When it is not in use, the remote control may be stored in the
recessed area in the back of the fan. (Fig. 14).

USER SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS
CLEANING AND STORAGE
• Ensure the fan is turned off and unplugged.
• Use only a soft cloth to gently wipe the outer surfaces of the fan clean.
• To clean between the grille and fan blade area, we recommend using a pipe cleaner,
flexible dust wand, vacuum cleaner, or compressed air to gently remove the dust.
• To clean the rear housing use a soft dry cloth.
• DO NOT immerse the fan in water and NEVER allow water to drip into the motor housing.
• DO NOT use gasoline, paint thinner, or other chemicals to clean the fan.
• For storage, you may leave the fan assembled and covered to protect it from dust. Store the fan
in a cool, dry place.

• Si votre ventilateur faiblit et que vous pensez que le fusible a sauté,
saisissez la fiche et retirez-la de la prise ou de tout autre dispositif.
NE DÉBRANCHEZ PAS l’appareil en tirant sur le cordon.
• Faites glisser le couvercle du compartiment du fusible, situé sur le dessus de
la fiche, vers les broches de la fiche (Fig. 1).
• Retirez délicatement le fusible grillé et mettez-en un nouveau en place.
Pour réduire le risque d’incendie, ne remplacez le fusible que par un fusible
de 2,5 A, 125 volts. Fermez complètement le couvercle du compartiment du
fusible en le faisant glisser en place. (Fig. 2) Jetez le fusible grillé. La fiche
devrait maintenant être prête pour une utilisation normale.
• Pour réduire le risque d’incendie, NE REMPLACEZ PAS la fiche de
branchement. Jetez l’appareil si la fiche de branchement est endommagée.

INTRODUCTION

mensuelles durant toute l’année. Nos ventilateurs augmentent la distribution d’un air plus froid provenant de
votre climatiseur ou d’un air plus chaud provenant de votre système de chauffage, créant un tourbillon d’air
pour accroître le confort. Une augmentation du débit d’air permet d’utiliser le climatiseur et le système de
chauffage à des réglages plus bas pour vous aider à économiser.

A. ASSEMBLAGE DE LA BASE
• Alignez les pièces frontales et arrières de la base et poussez délicatement les moitiés jusqu’à ce que
les pièces s’enclenchent ensemble (Fig 3).
B. FIXER LE VENTILATEUR VERTICAL SUR LA BASE
• À la base du boîtier, retirez l’écrou de verrouillage et mettez-le de côté (Fig. 4).
• Soulevez délicatement le boîtier du ventilateur (Fig. 5) et faites passer le cordon d’alimentation à
travers le centre de la base.
• Abaissez le boîtier du ventilateur dans la base (Fig. 6).
• Prenez l’écrou de verrouillage et passez le cordon d’alimentation à travers l’écrou de verrouillage et
montez l’écrou vers le haut du cordon (Fig.7). Fixez l’écrou de verrouillage au boîtier du ventilateur en
le tournant dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à ce qu’il soit bien serré.
• Le cordon du ventilateur peut sortir d’un côté ou de l’autre de la base; choisissez celui qui est le plus
près de votre prise de courant (Fig. 8).
• L’arrière de ce ventilateur est fermé intentionnellement afin de permettre l’entrée et la sortie d’air à
la grille avant. Ce modèle à flux transversal aérodynamique maîtrise la puissance Turbo ForceMD de
votre ventilateur!
Remarque : NE FAITES PAS fonctionner le ventilateur s’il n’est pas dans la position verticale appropriée.
• Assurez-vous que les ventilateurs soient en position d’arrêt.
• Placez le ventilateur sur une surface plane et sèche.
• Branchez le cordon d’alimentation dans une prise murale polarisée de 120 volts CA. Votre ventilateur est
maintenant prêt à être utilisé.
• Pour déplacer le ventilateur, éteignez les ventilateurs, débranchez l’appareil de la prise murale et soulevez
l’appareil au moyen de la poignée dissimulée située à l’arrière du ventilateur du haut.

Moyen ( ), Bas( ) et arrêt (Fig. 9).

PIVOTE À 90°
La tête du ventilateur du haut à inclinaison
variable pivote vous permettant d’orienter le
débit d’air vers où vous en avez le plus besoin.
La tête du ventilateur du haut pivote aussi à 90°
permettant une circulation d’air dans la pièce
(Fig. 11).
OSCILLATION
Pour activer l’oscillation, appuyez une fois sur la touche d’oscillation ( ).
Appuyez de nouveau sur cette touche pour arrêter cette fonction (Fig. 10).

Pour allumer l’appareil et ajuster la vitesse, appuyez sur la touche
(). Appuyez une fois sur ( ) pour Bas, appuyez de nouveau pour Moyen
et appuyez trois fois pour le réglage Élevé. Si vous appuyez une autre fois,
vous éteindrez l’appareil (Fig. 12).

PIVOTE À 90°
La tête du ventilateur du bas à inclinaison variable pivote vous permettant
d’orienter le débit d’air vers où vous en avez le plus besoin. La tête du
ventilateur du haut à inclinaison variable pivote aussi à 90° permettant
une circulation d’air dans toute la pièce.
OSCILLATION
Pour activer l’oscillation, appuyez une fois sur la touche d’oscillation ( ).
Appuyez de nouveau sur cette touche pour arrêter cette fonction (Fig. 13).

Pour allumer l’appareil et ajuster la vitesse, appuyez sur la touche
du ventilateur ()à plusieurs reprises pour Bas, Moyen, Élevé et
Arrêt. Chaque ventilateur fonctionnant de manière indépendante,
sélectionnez le réglage de vitesse pour chacun selon vos besoins.
OSCILLATION
Pour activer l’oscillation, appuyez une fois sur la touche d’oscillation
(). Appuyez de nouveau sur cette touche pour arrêter cette fonction.
Rangement de la télécommande
Lorsque vous ne vous servez pas de la télécommande, vous pouvez la

• Assurez-vous que le ventilateur soit éteint et débranché.
• Utilisez un linge doux pour essuyer délicatement les surfaces extérieures du ventilateur.
• Pour nettoyer entre la grille et les pales du ventilateur, nous vous recommandons d’utiliser un
cure-pipe, un plumeau flexible, l’aspirateur ou de l’air comprimé pour enlever délicatement la
poussière.
• Pour nettoyer le boîtier arrière, utilisez un linge sec.
• N’IMMERGEZ PAS le ventilateur dans l’eau et ne laissez JAMAIS de l’eau dégoutter dans le boîtier du
moteur.
• N’UTILISEZ PAS d’essence, de diluant ou d’autres produits chimiques pour nettoyer le ventilateur.
• Vous pouvez ranger le ventilateur sans le démonter; couvrez-le afin qu’il ne s’empoussière pas. Rangez-le
dans un endroit frais et sec.

Cuando utilice aparatos electrodomésticos, debe

• Si su ventilador pierde potencia y sospecha que se ha fundido el fusible
de su ventilador, sujete el enchufe y retírelo del tomacorriente u otro
dispositivo de salida. NO desconecte tirando del cable.
• Deslice la tapa del fusible, ubicada en la parte superior del enchufe, hacia
las clavijas del enchufe. (Fig. 1)
• Retire cuidadosamente el fusible fundido y coloque un fusible nuevo en su
lugar. Para Reducir el Riesgo de Incendio, reemplace el fusible sólo con un
fusible de 2.5 Amp, 125 voltios. Cierre completamente la tapa del fusible
deslizando nuevamente en su lugar. (Fig. 2) Deseche el fusible fundido. El
enchufe debe estar listo para uso normal.
• Para ReducirelRiesgodeIncendio, NOreemplace elenchufe proporcionado.
Desecheelproductosiel enchufeproporcionadoestá dañado.

Los Ventiladores de Circulación de Aire de Honeywell pueden ayudar a ahorrar energía y bajar el costo de los
recibos mensuales durante todo el año. Nuestros circuladores de aire aumentan la distribución del aire frío
de su aire acondicionado o del aire caliente de su sistema de calefacción, creando un vórtice del flujo de aire
para un mayor confort. Un mayor flujo de aire permite que su aire acondicionado y su sistema de calefacción
sean utilizados en ajustes más bajos para ayudarle a ahorrar dinero.
En verano: Circule el aire
frío utilizando con el aire
acondicionado central o de
ventana.
En invierno: Circule el aire caliente. Coloque su circulador de aire en
un lugar abierto para movimiento de aire ascendente. Opérelo en un
ajuste bajo para mover el aire más caliente del techo y circular el aire
caliente por toda la habitación.
En invierno: Utilice con otras fuentes de calor, tales como estufas de
leña, calefactores de zócalo, y/o ventiladores para ayudar a circular el

OPERACIÓN
A. MONTAJE DE LA BASE
• Alinee las piezas de la base frontal y posterior y empuje suavemente las mitades hasta que las piezas
encajen firmemente (Fig. 3).
B. ASEGURAR EL VENTILADOR DE TORRE A LA BASE
• En la base de la carcasa, retire la tuerca de fijación y apártela (Fig. 4).
• Levante cuidadosamente la carcasa del ventilador (Fig. 5) y coloque el cable a través del centro de la base.
• Baje la carcasa del ventilador en la base (Fig. 6).
• Tome la tuerca de fijación y enrosque el cable a través de la tuerca y muévala hacia arriba del cable (Fig. 7). Fije la
tuerca de fijación a la carcasa del ventilador girándola hacia la derecha hasta que esté completamente apretada.
• Elcable del ventiladorpuedesalir por cualquier ladode labase; elija cuál estámáscercadel tomacorriente (Fig. 8).

Nota: NO opere el ventilador de torre a menos que esté en la posición correcta y vertical.
• Asegúrese que los ventiladores estén apagados.
• Coloque el ventilador sobre una superficie seca y nivelada.
• Enchufe el cable en un tomacorriente polarizado de 120 V~ de CA, su ventilador ya está listo para ser
usado.
• Para mover el ventilador, APAGUE los ventiladores, desconecte la unidad del tomacorriente y levántela
por el asa oculta ubicada en la parte posterior de la parte superior del ventilador superior.

PIVOTE DE 90°
El pivote ajustable de la cabeza del ventilador
superior le permite girar el flujo de aire donde
más lo necesite. La cabeza del ventilador
superior gira a 90º permitiendo la circulación del
aire de la habitación (Fig. 11).
OSCILACIÓN
Para activar la característica de oscilación,
presione una vez el botón de oscilación ( ). Presione otra vez el botón de
oscilación para desactivar la función de oscilación (Fig. 10).
