Whensettoposition“1”ON,thisbuttonenablesnormal
machine operation, Set to position “0” OFF, it disables
all machine functions with the exception of the drain
pump.
•Start button (2)
1st Cycle condition (line on)
When pressed, this activates the normal washing
cycle.Light(4)goesoutoncethecyclehasterminated.
2nd Draining condition (line off)
Press the button to manually drain the dishwasher.
3rd STOP condition
Press the button a second time to temporarily stop the
1st and 2nd conditions. Press the button again within
10 seconds and the cycle or draining phase will conti-
nue from the point in which it was interrupted.
•Boiler indicator light (3)
1st Condition: Slower flashing.
Indicates that the water in the boiler is about to reach
the minimum temperature level.

DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTROLS
2nd Condition: Permanent light.
Thisindicatesthatthetemperatureofthewaterisatthe
right level for the cycle.
•Cycle indicator light (4)
When on, this indicates that the cycle is in progress.
•Detergent level warning light (5)
Whenflashing innormalmode,thisindicates that there
is insufficient detergent in the relative can.
•Rinsing agent warning light (6)
Whenflashing innormalmode,thisindicates that there
is insufficient rinsing agent in the relative can.
ATTENTION
If the warning lights (3), (4) flash quickly, this means
that the dishwasher is in the alarm status.

PARTICULAR RECOMMENDATIONS
FOR THE OPERATOR
-Do not operate the machine without having become fully
familiar with the contents of this manual and without having
acquired a comprehensive knowledge of the specific
techniques and machine controls.
-Makesurethattheareainwhichthemachineistobeinstalled
is large enough before installing the machine itself.
-Only use lifting and handling means as are adequate to the
weightofthemachinewhenthismustbeinstalledorremoved
either completely or in part.
-Never allow unauthorized or unqualified personnel to start,
adjust, operate or repair the machine. Always refer to this
manual for all the necessary operations.
-Themechanicalandelectrical/electroniccomponentssituated
inside the machine are protected by fully closed panels.
-Always ensure that the main switch has been set to the
“OFF”positionbeforecleaningand/orservicingthemachine.
This will disconnect the power source during the operator’s
intervention.
-The electrical powering system must be equipped with an
automatic release system prior to the main machine switch
and with a suitable grounding system that complies with all
the requisites established by industrial provisions for the
prevention of accidents.
-Always disconnect the power source if work must be carried
out on the main switch or in its vicinity.
-Allinspectionsandmaintenanceoperationsrequiringremoval
of the safety guards are carried out under the complete
responsibility of the users.
These operations should therefore only be carried out by
specialized and authorized technical personnel.
-Make sure that none of the accident preventing safety
devices(barriers,guards,casings,microswitches,etc.)have
been tampered with and that they are all perfectly functional
before operating. These devices should be repaired if this is
not the case.
-Never remove the safety devices.
-To prevent personal risks, only use power tools that are
correctlyconnected to the grounding tap and that conform to
the national safety regulations.
-Neverevertamperwiththeelectricalsystemorwithanyother
mechanism.
-Never use the hands or unsuitable instruments to locate
leaks from pipes. Air, fluids under pressure or irritants could
cause serious damage to both persons and/or property.
-Neverusethehandsinsteadofadequatetoolswhenoperating
the machine.
-Never use the hands or other objects to stop moving parts.
-PAY THE UTMOST ATTENTION TO THE DATA PLATES
AFFIXEDTOTHEMACHINEWHENEVERYOUWORKON
THIS OR IN ITS NEAR VICINITY.
-Theuser isobliged tokeep allthe data plates and stickers in
a legible condition.
-Never climb on to the door or on to the top of the machine.
-It is essential for the user to replace all data plates and
stickersasmayhavedeterioratedforanyreasonorasareno
longer clearly visible, ordering new ones from the spares
service of HOONVED.
-Contact the person in charge of maintenance in the event of
malfunctionsordamagetothemachinecomponentswithout
proceeding with further repairs.
-It is absolutely forbidden for anyone to use the machine for
purposes other than those explicitly established and
documented.Themachinemustalwaysbeusedintheways,
timesandplacesestablishedbycommonsenseandthelaws
in force in each nation, even when there are no specific
provisionstogovernthesectorinthe specific country of use.
-HOONVED declines all responsibility for accidents or
damage to either persons or property as may arise
followingfailure to comply with either the relative safety
provisions or the instructions herein.
-These instructions, together with the provisions
governing machine installation and electrical
connections form an integral part of the Accident
Preventing Industrial regulations in force in each
individual country.
-THESESAFETYPROVISIONSINTEGRATEANDDONOT
SUBSTITUTE THE SAFETY PROVISIONS LOCALLY IN
FORCE.
-NEVERevermakehurriedorinaccuraterepairsascould
jeopardize the correct operation of the machine.
-ALWAYS ASK FOR HELP FROM SPECIALIZED
PERSONNEL IN CASE OF DOUBT.
-ANY TAMPERING BY THE USER RELIEVES THE
MANUFACTURER FROM ALL LIABILITY, THE USER
BEINGINTHISCASESOLELYRESPONSIBLETOWARDS

1.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The double-walled cabinet ensures improved energy
savings.
The tub interior is totally rounded and free from gaps
wheredirtcouldcollect.Thepowerratingsandresearched
conformationofthewashingandrinsingaccessoriesoffer
the utmost guarantee when it comes to washing results
and hygiene.
Thedouble-walledstructureismadeoffinelysatin-finished
AISI304stainlesssteel.Thefiltersandrinsingrodscanbe
easilyremovedforcleaning.Operationistotallyautomatic.
All internal components can be reached from the front of
the machine, thus making all maintenance operations
easy and economical to carry out.
1.2 TYPE OF USE AND IMPROPER USE
These machines have been designed and built to wash
crockery placed in special baskets and using detergent
and rinsing agent.
•Permitted crockery: glasses, teacups, coffee cups,
saucers, cutlery made of materials suitable for
dishwashersandofasizeabletofitintothebasketand
machine.
•Use of specific detergents and rinsing agents for
industrial purposes normally available in the shops is
permitted.
ATTENTION
Anyimproperuseofthemachinerelievesthemanufacturer
from all and every responsibility for accidents or damage
to persons and property, also voiding all conditions of
guarantee.
1.3 TRANSPORT, SHIPMENT AND
STORAGE (Fig. 2)
-The machine is normally shipped in a cardboard box
closed by straps.
-Whentransportingthepackedmachine,usealifttruck
ortranspallet,positioning the box on the relative forks.
ATTENTION
The machine must be sheltered from adverse weather
conditions when shipped and stored.
1.4 INSPECTIONS ON ARRIVAL
When the machine arrives, make sure that the packaging
isinaperfectconditionandthatthereisnovisibledamage.
If everything is in order, remove the packaging (unless
other instructions have been received from the
manufacturer) and make sure that the machine is free
from damage caused by transport.
Now check whether there has been any damage to the
structure, crushing or breakages.
If damage or imperfections are discovered:
1- Immediately notify the haulage contractor both by
phone and in writing by registered letter with return
receipt attached.
2- Informthemanufacturerbyregisteredletter(withreturn
receipt attached).
IMPORTANT
Notificationofdamageorfaultsmustbeimmediate,inany
case within 3 days from the date on which the machine
was received.
1.5 UNPACKING (Figs 2-3-4)
Proceed in the following way in order to remove the
packing:
1. Cut the straps (7) that hold the cardboard in place.
2. Remove the box (8) by lifting it upwards.
3. Remove the protective film from the machine.
4. Removethemachinefromthebasebyliftingitfromthe
lower part of the casing (Fig. 4).
5. Allpackingmustbecollectedandnotleftwithinchildren’s
reach since it could become a source of danger. The
packing can be disposed of in the same way as solid
urban waste.
ATTENTION
Once the machine has been unpacked, NEVER ever use
the box containing the electrical components for lifting
purposes.
Lift the machine by raising it from the lower part of the
casing. Set it on the forks of a truck when transporting.
1.6 MACHINE IDENTIFICATION (Fig. 5)
-The serial number and machine data are stamped on
thedataplate(9)affixedtotherearpartofthemachine
itself.
IMPORTANT
Alwaysstate the model and serial number of the machine
when requesting technical assistance or ordering spare
parts.
1.7 DESCRIPTION OF THE SAFETY
DEVICES
•APS/FW modelsareequippedwithasafetymicroswitch
that blocks the washing pump if the tub access door is
accidentally opened.
•The electrical parts are enclosed by panels locked by
screws.
•The machine is fitted with an equipotential ground
conductor.
•The safety overflow to prevent water from spilling.

1.8 REFERENCE STANDARDS
•The machine and its safety devices have been built in
compliance with the following standards:
•Essential safety requisites pursuant to Directive 89/
392EEC, modified byDirective91/368 EEC, Directive
93/44 EEC and 93/68 EEC.
•Essentialsafety requisites pursuant to Directive 73/23
EEC Annex 1 modified by Directive 93/68 EEC.
•Essential requisites established by Directive 2002/95/
EEC (RoHS).
IMPORTANT
Comply with the instructions in the relative manual when
assembling,filling,regulatingandoperatingthedispenser.
3.1 DETERGENT DISPENSER (Optional)
(Fig. 9)
•Insert the red feed tube (22) and the relative can level
indicator tube (23) into the can of detergent.
ATTENTION
Always wash the hands under running water if they come
into contact with detergent, or comply with the specific
indications pertaining to the utilized type of detergent.
Refer to the relative enclosed manual and to the utilized
typeofdetergentwhenfillingandadjusting thedispenser.
3.2 FILLING THE RINSING AGENT
DISPENSER (Fig. 9)
•Insert the transparent tube (24) and the relative level
tube into the can (25) containing rinsing agent. (Refer
to the specific instructions given with the rinsing agent
itself).
•Start the machine as described in paragraph 3.3. The
dispenser will suck about 3 cm of liquid from the
canister.
•Fillingisobtainedduringthecycleby(slightly)opening
and closing the door several times, until the tube has
completely filled.

3.2.a Adjusting the dose (Fig. 9)
•Start the machine as described in paragraph 3.3 and
hold a glass up to the light at the end of the cycle.
•Thedropsofwaterontheglasswillindicateinsufficient
dosage while streaks will indicate that the dosage is
excessive either in relation to density or quantity.
•Regulate by means of the plug (26), turning clockwise
todecreasethequantityofanticlockwisetoincreaseit.
IMPORTANT
These data are indicative and not binding since they may
vary according to the hardness of the water or the utilized
type of detergent and rinsing agent.
ATTENTION
It the utilized product (detergent or rinsing agent) is
changed,itisadvisabletoflushoutthedosingsystemwith
water and to then proceed by filling the dispensers.
3.3 PREPARING THE MACHINE AND THE
WASHING OPERATIONS
3.3.a PREPARING THE MACHINE (Fig. 1)
1. Turn on the main power switch prior to the machine.
2. Turn on the cold water cock.
3. Press button (1) Fig. 1. The washing tub will
automatically start to fill.
4. Make sure that the detergent and rinsing agent cans
have enough product for daily use.
5. Wait until the water in the boiler tank has reached the
preset temperature, indicated by warning light (3) Fig.
1.
3.3.b WASHING OPERATIONS (Fig 1)
1. Loadthedirtycrockeryintothebasketaccordingtothe
configuration of the machine.
2. Openthedoorandfit the basket into the tub, then shut
the door again.
3. PressSTART button(2)tostart thecycle,indicatedby
light (4) Fig. 1.
Thecyclewillstarteven though thetemperatureof
thewaterintheboilerislowerthanthesetminimum
value. The dishwasher will continue the washing
phase until the minimum temperature has been
reached and will then proceed with the draining
and rinsing phase.
IMPORTANT
Keep the tub door closed between one cycle and the next
to prevent the water in the tub from cooling.
ATTENTION
Dooropeningduringthecyclewillblockmachineoperation
in the same way as an EMERGENCY device.
•Light (4) Fig. 1 will flash. Close the door again and
press the START button (2) Fig. 1 within 10 seconds
and the cycle will continue from where it left off,
otherwise light (4) will go out and the START button
must be pressed to start the cycle from the beginning.
3.3.c STOPPING THE CYCLE IN PROGRESS
•Press the START button (2) Fig. 1 to inhibit a cycle in
progress.
•Press the START button (2) again within 10 seconds
tocontinuethecyclefromwhereitleftoff,otherwisethe
cycle will start from the beginning.
ATTENTION
If the door is accidentally opened, the cycle will stop and
light(4)Fig.1willflash.PresstheSTARTbutton(2)within
10secondstocontinuewiththecyclefromwhereitleftoff,
otherwise it will start again from the beginning.
3.3.d No water during the cycle
Themachinewillblockandthecyclewillnotbeterminated
ifthereisinsufficientwaterduringtherinsingphase.Inthis
case, cycle warning light (4) Fig. 1 will flash very quickly
and the dishwasher will set to the alarm status.
It is necessary to quit the alarm status by disconnecting
the line switch (1) Fig. 1 and to then press the START (2)
button to begin the cycle from the start.
ATTENTION
When the filling or the rinse does not finish within 1
minutes,themachinestopsinalarmandtheorangecycle
lamp (4) flashes quickly.
This can be caused by no water or by low pressure in the
mais water supply.
3.3.e SELF-EMERGENCY
•According to their type, the faults are indicated by one
of the flashing warning lights (3), (4), (5), (6).
•Switch off the machine by pressing the line button (1)
Fig. 1) and wait a few minutes, then turn the machine
on again and make sure that it operates correctly.
Contact the technical assistance service if the fault
persists.
3.3.f Manual drain (Fig. 1)
To manually empty the water from the tub, switch off the
line button (1) Fig. 1 and push the START button (2), the
empty is temporized and after 30 s the pump will be
stopped.

3.3.g Turn-off (Fig. 1)
At the end of the day to take off the line button (1) Fig. 1;
automaticallythetankwaterwillbedischarged.Disconnect
main switch and close the hydric alimentation tap.
ATTENTION
Switch off the main circuit-breaker prior to the machine
and turn off the water delivery cocks if the dishwasher is
faulty or operates badly.
Only allow the manufacturer’s authorized after-sales
service center to make repairs.
3.4 LOW DETERGENT AND RINSING
AGENT INDICATORS
Beforebeginning the cycle, makesure that warning lights
(5) and (6) Fig. 1 are off. When one of the two warning

4. CLEANING (Fig. 10)
4.1 General information
Strictcompliancewiththemaintenanceinstructionsinthis
sectionwillkeepyourmachineinagoodworkingcondition
and will notably reduce the need for repairs.
ATTENTION
Ifanymachinecomponentbecomesfaulty,FIRSTCHECK
that all the instructions given in the previous paragraphs
have been complied with during use.
Repairs must be carried out immediately, as soon as the
fault occurs. This will prevent the trouble from becoming
worse and damaging other parts.
4.2 Daily cleaning (Fig. 10)
ATTENTION
Daily operations to carry out when work has ended, with
the machine off, the main circuit-breaker disconnected,
the water cocks off and the washing tub empty.
1. Thoroughly clean the inside parts of the machine.
2. Pull out the filter (27) as indicated in Fig. 10.
3. Remove the pump safety filter (28).
4. Wash the filters under running water and fit them
correctly back in their housings.
ATTENTION
Frequently check and clean the spraying units, removing
them from their housings and eliminating any dirt and
fouling. The frequency with which this operation must be
carried out depends on the quantity of dirt or on the
unsatisfactory washing results. Never use corrosive
productslikesodiumhypochlorite(bleach)orhydrochloric
acid, wire wool or steel brushes to clean either the inside
or outside parts of the machine.
5. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE (Fig. 11)

The preventive maintenance operations must be carried
out with the machine off, the main circuit-breaker
disconnected,thewaterdeliverycocksoffandthewashing
tub empty.
5.1 Checking and cleaning the rods and nozzles (Fig.
11)
Periodically check that the washing rod (29), the lower
rinsing rod (30) and the relative nozzles are not clogged.
Cleaning the unit:
1. Unscrew the wing nut (31) and turn it through 180°,
then unscrew the central plug (32), removing the rods
(29) and (30).
2. Washthewashingand rinsing rods. If the nozzles (33)
are clogged, demount them and clean them using a
steelrod,preventingthenozzlesfrombeingdamaged.
Now fit them back exactly in their original positions.
3. Remount all parts by complying with the above
instructions in reverse.
6. TEMPORARY INACTIVITY (Fig. 12)
If the machine is to remain inactive for a certain period of
time, disconnect the electrical power source and turn off
the water delivery cocks. Leave the tub door open.
•Drain off the water from the boiler by placing a vessel
under it and unscrewing the relative drain screw (34).
Waituntiltheboilerhasemptied,thenfitthescrewback
in place (34).
7 DEMOLITION and DISPOSAL
When the machine is to be scrapped, drain the water
from the tank and from the boiler, as indicated in the
points above, and disconnect the machine from the water
and electricity supply networks, then dispose of the
components according to current regulations, respecting
national and local ecological and environmental
legislation, and taking care to separate the parts as
follows:
- metallic parts: body work, surfaces, panels, filters;
- electrical parts: motors, remote switches, micro-
switches, cabling;
- plastic parts: connectors, baskets;
- rubber parts: tubes, couplings

The machine fails to turn on. Main switch disconnected. Turn on the switch.
The machine does not fill Water cock shut. Turn on the cock.

under running water.
Dirty fill pipe filter. Detach fill pipe (12 Fig. 7) and clean the filter
(14).
The cycle fails to start. Washing tub open. Close the tub door.
Insufficient wash. Clogged washing nozzles. Clean the washing rod (30 Fig. 10).
Dirty washing filter. Clean the filters (27-28 Fig. 12)
No detergent. Add detergent and fill the dispenser.
Insufficient rinse. Clogged rinsing nozzles. Unscrew and clean the nozzles (33 Fig. 10)
under running water.
