1. Introduction
1.1 Foreword
Before commissioning the machine, read and
comply with the operating instructions. In do-
ing so, you will avoid accidents, reduce repair
costs and downtime and increase the reliability
and service life of your machine. Pay attention
to the safety notes!
HORSCH will not assume liability for any dam-
age or malfunctions resulting from failure of
complying with the operating instructions.
These operating instructions will assist you in
getting to know your machine and using it cor-
rectly for its intended purposes.
The operating instructions must be read and
strictly adhered to by all persons working on or
with the machine e.g.:
• Operation (including preparation, fault recti󰘰-
cation during work, care)
• Maintenance (maintenance, inspection)
• Transport
We reserve the right to alter illustrations as well
as technical data and weights contained in these
operating instructions for the purpose of improv-
ing the machine.
The illustrations in these operating instructions
show di󰘯erent versions of the implement and
di󰘯erent equipment variants.
These operating instructions apply to software
version 1.4. Higher software versions may in-
cluded changes or additional functions.

2. Description of
machine function
and operation
HORSCH LEEB machines can be operated and
monitored via an ISOBUS-capable terminal.
These operating instructions are applicable to
HORSCH LEEB machines for crop protection:
• trailed crop protection sprayer LT / LT light
• trailed crop protection sprayer GS
• self-propelled crop protection sprayer 6.300
/ 7.300 / 8.300 PT
The operating instructions apply to the following
software versions:
• LSB: 1.4.7
• Machine terminal: 1.0
• HECU: 1.0
The following terminals have been approved by
HORSCH for the software:

The main page for operation of the sprayer is
displayed after switching on the terminal.
If the sprayer is selected via the ISOBUS of the
tractor and the terminal is switched o󰘯 while the
tractor engine is running, the following functions
are no longer available:
• Folding process is terminated (if presently
active)
• Steering remains at the position, seat valves
of steering are closed and the road travel
mode is without centring.
• Circulation is switched o󰘯
• Main switch of nozzle closes
• Agitator is switched o󰘯 (if presently active)
• Filling process is switched o󰘯 (if presently
active)
• Injector is switched o󰘯 (if presently active)
• Cleaning is switched o󰘯 (if presently active)
• Folding boom control is switched o󰘯.
2.1 Menu navigation
structure
¾Active functions are highlighted by a green
square to the right above the symbol.
¾Functions can be activated or deactivated
by brie󰘱y touching the display or the control
button.
¾Additional settings can be made on various
submenus. They are accessed by touching
the corresponding function on the main menu.
¾With the arrow the user can return to the
previous page at any time.
¾A focus frame appears around the 󰘰eld when
touching the functions in the menus and the
submenus.

3. Main control terminal
The graphic user interface shows current settings and measuring values in spraying operation.
Adaptations can be made via touchscreen, rotary wheel or buttons.
NOTE
¾Does not replace the operating instructions of the basic machine!
¾Pay attention to the safety instructions and warnings in the operating instructions of the basic
machine!
¾The operating instructions must always be carried along!
¾Operators must have read and understood the complete operating instructions before working
with the machine!
WARNING
Risk of accident or tipping of the machine through uncontrolled movements. Rear axle steering
must always be locked during transport travel.
NOTE
¾During use in the 󰘰eld the machine is operated via the main page (working screen) and its
submenus.
¾Submenus are located below certain functions of the working screen.
¾Depending on the machine equipment some functions may not be present in main and submenus.
3.1 Main page sprayer implement
The main page shows the most important functions and settings for spraying operation.

¾If the crop protection sprayer is connected with active Section Control, an A
is displayed on the symbol of circulation.

Switching the agitator on or o󰀨 (possible only for machines of the CCS Pro

¾In the Fill spraying mixture container submenu the agitator can be set to 4 levels
of intensity by touching the symbol or the button. The agitator is switched
one level higher with each touch. See 3.2.12

The bar graph shows the deviation of the actual from the nominal application
quantity (grey area).
¾Operate the display to accept the value of the application quantity.
The system will then be controlled by using the application quantity and not
the spraying pressure. A green mark appears for this purpose.

Spraying pressure
Display of the current spraying pressure (actual pressure).
¾Operate the display to accept the value of the 󰘰xed spraying pressure.
The system will then be controlled by using the 󰘰xed spraying pressure and
not the application quantity. A green mark appears for this purpose.
¾Operate the display again to change the 󰘰xed spraying pressure.

The red bars indicate areas (depending on the automatic nozzle selection) that
shall/must not be reached during operation.
Speed
Display of the currently driven speed.

3.2 Sub-pages sprayer implement

3.2.1 BoomControl folding boom control

¾If the control is deactivated (checkmark
not set), the folding boom height is not
controlled by the parallelogram. The
status is displayed on the main page.

If the checkmarks are placed, the outside
wings are automatically adjusted to the pre-
selected height. If the checkmarks are not
set, the stored value is used to control the
folding position.
Generally, Boom Control Pro Plus adjusts the
outside wings only to the preselected working
height when the sprayer's main switch has
been turned on and the nozzles are open.

Manual folding boom control:
¾For 5-piece folding booms and 7-piece fold-
ing booms without coupling bar:
With reduced folding of the folding boom
where only the inside wings are unfolded,
only manual folding boom control is pos-
sible.
In this case, control takes place via the
middle section. The middle section can be
turned via the multi-function handle.
Automatic folding boom control:
¾With automatic folding boom control and
activated circulation, the folding boom can
be lowered to working height when travel-
ling at the headland by touching the Lower
parallelogram function. Thus, the folding
boom is already again at working height
when the nozzles are opened.

¾When the red triangles are visible, the
preselected working height is manually
bypassed.
Example: If the spraying height is set to
50 cm and the parallelogram is lifted per
joystick in automatic mode, the "new" height
is set as working height. The same applies
to the inside wing control (g and h).
If the folding boom control is switched o󰘯
and then switched on again, the previously
entered height of 50 cm is accessed again.
Likewise, the height entered is reused
when the parallelogram or the wings are
controlled downward by brie󰘱y pressing
the button.

3.2.2 Wings
NOTE
¾Fold the spraying boom only on level terrain to avoid damages to the folding boom.
¾Take care before unfolding that the transport lock is open.
¾The slope compensation must be locked during the folding process.
¾The folding boom must always be aligned horizontally before folding the folding boom. Moving
the folding boom to the transport position and locking it may otherwise be di󰘲cult.
¾The slope compensation locks automatically upon folding.
WARNING
Risk of injury during folding as well as lifting and lowering the spraying boom!
No persons must be about in the danger zone during this process!
NOTE
The folding process must be performed while the machine is at standstill since the folding boom
may otherwise sustain damages or breakage.
¾If the folding boom is not secured at a travel speed greater than 2 km/h the warning message
Check the folding boom position is displayed on the terminal.
¾If the folding process is carried out at a travel speed greater than 2 km/h the warning message
Fold only while stopped is displayed on the terminal.
¾If the folding process is carried out at a travel speed greater than 5 km/h and the folding boom
is not secured, an alarm message is displayed on the terminal and the folding process stops
automatically!
Bring the machine to a stop and press the button for folding again to continue the folding process.
NOTE
Die di󰘯erence of the right and left wing is monitored during the folding process.
¾A warning message is displayed on the terminal in case of a deviation of more than 40 %. How-
ever, the folding process is not interrupted!
NOTE
BoomControl cannot be activated if the folding boom is not fully unfolded (status on folding side
yellow).
¾The message Folding boom control - check folding boom position is displayed on the terminal.
