Please read these Operating Instructions carefully and keep
them for later use.

Intended use
This tool may only be used for cutting synthetic fabrics and cutting
synthetic cord, ropes, tapes and belts using a heated cutting blade.
PVC and PVC-coated materials may not be processed due to the
harmful vapours arising during cutting. Any other use is not
permitted and may result in injuries. In these cases, there shall be
no liability on the part of the manufacturer.
Safety information
It is essential to heed the safety information !
•This device may be used by children aged 8 or over and
by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capacities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
are supervised or have been given instruction regarding
the safe use of the appliance and understand the
resulting hazards. Children must not play with the
appliance. Children may not carry out cleaning and
maintenance tasks unless they are supervised.
•Make sure that the power cord does not come into
contact with heat, oil or sharp edges. Damaged power
cords can cause fires, short circuiting and electric
shocks.
•If the power cord of this device is damaged, to avoid
danger it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
customer service or by a similarly qualified person.
•Failure to use the device with care may result in a fire.
Cutting blades can reach temperatures of up to 600°C.
To prevent accidents, the cutting blade must not be
touched after the trigger has been pressed. Do not use
the device in a potentially explosive atmosphere,
remove all flammable materials/ liquids before use, use a
heat-resistant work surface and keep your working area
clean.

•Before use, inspect the device for damage and check
that the cutting blade is firmly in place in the correct
position. If damaged, do not use; contact customer
service.
•For reasons of safety and licensing (CE), the
unauthorised modification and/or alteration of the heat
cutting machine is not permitted.
•Protect the tool from liquids and moisture, as these can
cause fires, short circuiting and electric shocks.
•Ensure there is adequate ventilation during operation.
Take care that no harm-ful fumes or gases are inhaled.
Wear protective clothing where necessary.
•The hot cutting blade must not be brought into contact
with heat-sensitive or flammable materials or with skin,
hair etc.
•Do not leave the device unsupervised while it is
operating. During longer work interruptions, the device
should be disconnected from the power supply.
•After use, allow the tool to cool down before putting it
away.
•When the device is not in use, store it in a safe place and
protect it from dust and moisture.
•National and international occupational health and safety
provisions must be observed.
•This appliance has a polarized plug (US-type: one blade
is wider than the other).To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

The device is not intended for continuous use, but for
intermittent operation. The operating period under
suitable heat dissipation conditions is 12s. The
device must then be turned off for 48s.
Disposal
The “crossed-out dustbin” symbol requires separate
disposal of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
Electrical and electronic equipment may contain dangerous
and environmentally hazardous substances. Do not dispose
of this device or its packaging with unsorted household
waste. Dispose of the device in a designated collection
point for waste electrical and electronic equipment. By doing
this, you are contributing to conserving resources and
protecting the environment. Please contact your dealer or
local authorities for further information.
Warranty
You have 1 year’s warranty on this heat cutting machine following
acceptance; the warranty does not include the cutting blade.
This warranty covers all defects that result from possible material or
production faults. The warranty shall be invalidated in the case of
improper use or misuse. Please only use original cutting blades
from HSGM. All warranty entitlements shall be invalidated if other
brands are used.
