2 Getting Started
Installing SIM Cards and the Battery
You can install two Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) cards in
the phone at the same time. When inserting a SIM card, ensure that
the golden contact area on the SIM card is facing downward and
that the beveled edge of the SIM card is properly aligned with that
of the SIM card slot.
Removing the Battery and SIM Cards
Before removing the battery and SIM cards, ensure that your phone
is powered off.

Installing a microSD Card
Before installing or removing a microSD card, power the
phone off. When powered back on, the phone indicates
whether the microSD card has been correctly installed.
You can expand your phone's memory capacity by installing a
microSD card. When installing a microSD card, ensure that the gold
contact area faces down.
Charging the Battery
To charge the battery:
1. Connect the charger to the phone's charger jack.
2. Connect the charger to a power outlet.
3. Allow the battery to fully charge.
When the battery is charging, the charging icon blinks. When the
charging icon stops blinking, the battery is fully charged.

4. Disconnect the charger from the power outlet and then from the
phone.
Working with the Main Menu
1. In standby mode, press (Menu) to access the main
menu.
2. Press to scroll to the desired submenu, and press
to access the submenu.
3. Press or to scroll to an option, and press
(OK) or to select the option.
4. Press (Back) to return to the previous screen or to
return to the standby mode.
Automatically Switching Between Profiles
You can set your phone to activate different profiles at different
times. The phone can automatically switch between profiles up to a
maximum of three times a day.
To automatically switch between profiles:
1. Select Menu > Settings > User profiles > Profile Switch Timing.
2. Scroll to a time, and press (Edit) to select the profile to
be activated at the specified time.
3. Press (Done) to save the settings.

Mass Storage
When you have connected your phone to a computer using the USB
cable, Mass storage is displayed on the phone screen.
Select Mass storage to manage the files stored in the phone memory
or on the microSD card using the computer's file manager
application.
The phone memory and its microSD card are displayed as removable
disks on the computer. You can perform the following operations:
1. Double-click a disk to open it.
2. Copy, paste or delete files on a disk.
3. Disconnect the phone from the PC.
Ensure that you connect and disconnect the USB cable
correctly.
Do not run the formatting command on the computer to
format the phone memory; doing so may permanently
damage the phone memory.
You can transfer data and charge the battery by
connecting the phone to the computer with the USB
cable.
3 Voice Services
Dual-Card Management
Your phone supports dual-card dual-standby mode, but the two SIM
cards cannot be used simultaneously. When you are making a call or
using data services with one SIM card, the other SIM card becomes
unavailable, that is, no incoming calls can be received and the data
services cannot be used.

Making a Call
1. In standby mode, enter the phone number.
To make an international call, press to enter the plus sign (+),
and then enter the country or region code, area code, and phone
number.
To call an extension, enter the switchboard number, press to
enter P, press and then to enter W, and enter the
extension number.
2. Press to dial the number.
3. Press to end the call.
You can also make calls from call logs, contacts, or
messages.
During a call, you can press or to adjust the
in-call volume.
Answering a Call
When you receive an incoming call:
Press to answer the call.
Press (Answer) to answer the call.
Press to reject the call.

Press (Silent) to mute the ringtone, and press
(Reject) to reject the call.
Press (Silent) to mute the ringtone, press
(Answer) to answer the call.
If the Any key answer function is enabled, you can press any key
except and to answer a call.
4 Text Input
Changing the Text Input Mode
The current text input mode indicator is displayed in the upper left
corner of the screen. You can press to switch between text
input modes.

Multi-Tap Input Mode
In multi-tap input mode, press the key labeled with the desired letter.
Predictive Input Mode
To enter a word in predictive input mode:
1. Press each key once according to the spelling sequence of the
desired word.
The phone displays candidate words.
2. Press or to scroll left or right, and press or
to turn pages.
3. Press to enter the word.
Number Input Mode
In number mode, press the key labeled with the desired digit.
Entering Symbols
To enter a symbol with the QWERTY keypad in any input mode:
Using to Enter a Symbol
To enter only one symbol, press once and then the key
labeled with the desired symbol.
To enter multiple symbols, press twice and then the keys
labeled with the desired symbols.
Using to Enter a Symbol
1. Press to display the symbol list.

2. Press or to scroll left or right, and press or
to scroll up or down.
3. Press to select the desired symbol.
5 Messaging
Writing and Sending a Text Message
1. In standby mode, select Menu > Messages > Write message.
2. Write the message.
3. Press (Options), and select Send to.
4. Select Enter recipient, and enter the recipient's phone number; or
select Add from Phonebook and add a recipient from the
phonebook.
To add multiple recipients, repeat this step.
5. Once the recipient or recipients have been added, and press
to send the message or press (Options) for the
following options:
Send: send the message to the recipient or recipients.
Save: save the message to Drafts and exit the message editing
screen.
From SIM1 or From SIM2: select the SIM card that you want to
use to send or save the message.
Writing and Sending a Multimedia Message
1. In standby mode, select Menu > Messages > Write message.

2. Write the message.
Press (Options), if you select Add picture, Add sound,
Add video, or Add subject, the message automatically changes
from a text message to a multimedia message. You can also
select Switch to MMS to change from a text message to a
multimedia message.
3. On the message editing screen, press , or press
(Options) and select Send to.
4. Select Enter recipient to enter the recipients' phone numbers, or
select Add from Phonebook to add the desired recipients from
the phonebook.
5. Once the recipient has been added, press to immediately
send the message, or press (Options) for the following
options:
Send: send the message. Select From SIM1 or From SIM2 to
select the SIM card that you want to use to send the message.
Change to Cc: copy the message to the recipient.
Change to Bcc: blind copy the message to the recipient.
Save to Drafts: save the message to Drafts.
You can contact your service provider to determine the
availability of the Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) and
the method for subscribing to the service.
Your phone supports a multimedia message up to 300 KB.
Open multimedia messages with caution. Objects in
multimedia messages may contain viruses and malicious
software that can damage your phone.

6 Phonebook
Creating a Contact
1. In standby mode, select Menu > Contacts > Add new contact.
2. Select To SIM1/SIM2 or To Phone for saving the contact.
3. Enter the contact information, press .
4. When prompted, press (Yes).
Searching for a Contact
1. In standby mode, select Menu > Contacts.
2. Enter the first letter of the contact name in the search box.
3. Press or to scroll to the desired contact.
Setting the Preferred Storage
You can set the storage where you want to save new contacts.
1. In standby mode, select Menu > Contacts.
2. Press (Options), and select Phonebook settings >
Preferred storage.
3. Scroll to SIM1, SIM2, Phone, or All as desired.
4. Press (OK).
Copying Contacts
You can copy contacts to the phone, SIM 1 card or SIM 2 card.

Copying One Contact
1. In standby mode, select Menu > Contacts.
2. Press or to scroll to the desired contact.
3. Press (Options), and select Copy.
4. Select To Phone, To SIM1, To SIM2, or To file to copy the contact
to the desired location.
Copying All Contacts
1. In standby mode, select Menu > Contacts.
2. Press (Options), and select Phonebook settings > Copy
contacts.
3. Press or to scroll to the desired option, such as
From Phone or From SIM1/SIM2.
4. Press (OK) to copy all contacts to the desired location.
7 Multimedia
Camera
The phone is equipped with a digital camera.
1. In standby mode, select Menu > Multimedia > Camera.
2. On the viewfinder screen:
Press (Options) to view pictures or configure the
camera settings.
Press or to adjust the exposure value.

Press or to zoom in or zoom out.
3. Focus the camera and press to take a picture.
4. Press (Back) to return to the viewfinder; or press
(Options) and select Delete to delete the picture.
Only image resolution is 160*128 can be set to wallpaper.
Audio Player
The audio player plays audio files stored in My music in the phone
memory or on the microSD card. If you want to listen to audio with
enhanced quality sound, use the headset provided.
1. In standby mode, select Menu > Multimedia > Audio player; or
press in standby mode to access Audio player.
2. Press to start playing audio files.
When playing audio files:
Press and to adjust the volume.
Press and to switch between audio files.
Press the button on the headset cable to switch between audio
files.
Press (List) to view the audio file list, and press
(Options) to configure the relevant settings.
3. Press to pause or continue.
