IMPORTANT CUSTOMER INFORMATION
To minimise twisting and warping all Hutton garden furniture products should only be used on firm level ground.
Softwood is a natural material which can twist and split during periods of wet/dry, hot/cold weather. If cracks do appear it is a
natural occurrence and not a fault with the product or material. The best way to treat this is to use a cloth and rub a little PVA
wood glue into the crack and once dry sand the area lightly. This will not affect the treatment of the product.
Assembly Instructions
WA- Westbury Arbour
1. On a clean and level ground. Place the seat section into position between the two side panels, with
the trellis flush to the outside of the arbour.
2. Using a 95mm bolt, push through the front hole on the seat section into the post on one side panel.
Use one of the connector caps in the relevant hole on the side panel to fasten the bolt loosely. Repeat
for the other side.
3. Now, with help if necessary, lift this assembly into a vertical position with the rounded ends of the seat
facing you. This will now be the front of your seat.
4. The back is now slid into place between the now vertical side panels and the half lap joints on the
seat and back. Line up the rear trellis panel with the side trellis panel at the top and screw into place,
with screws provided.
5. Join the two roof sections together using 4 x 90mm screws, ensuring the joint is as tight as possible,
in the same way as the centre rail is fixed.

When assembling, loosely fix together until fully assembled then tighten all the bolts.

6. Slide the roof section over the half lap joints on the post. Centre the roof and fix with 4 x 60mm
screws from the post into the roof on an angle of 25°. The space between the posts at the front
should be 1180mm.
7. All that is now left to do is check all the bolts and screws are reasonably tight, push rubber bungs into
the holes above the front of the arm rests, and position, with help in your Garden.
OPTIONAL ARM RESTS
If you wish to fit the optional arm rests it is advisable to drill pilot holes using a 4mm drill bit (once you
have located the correct position).
1. To position the armrests. There should be a gap of approximately 200mm between the bottom of the
armrest to the top of the seat.
2. The front of the armrests should be fixed using a 90mm screw fixing from the outside of the trellis frame
into the armrest.
3. The backs of the arm rests are fixed into place through the back of the seat’s backrest using a 90mm
screws.
