1.1 Overview

The AFOLUX AFL-517A-GM45 is an Intel® Core™2 Duo T9400/T7500 or Intel®
Celeron® M 575 powered all-in-one touch screen panel PCs with a rich variety of
functions and peripherals connections. It is designed for easy and simplified integration
into conference center, home automation, and building control applications.
An Intel® GM45 graphics memory controller hub (GMCH) coupled with an Intel® ICH9M
input/output controller hub ensures optimal memory, graphics, and peripheral I/O support.
The system comes with 1.0 GB or 2.0 GB of preinstalled DDR2 SDRAM and supports a
maximum of 4.0 GB of DDR2 SDRAM ensuring smooth data throughputs with reduced
bottlenecks and fast system access. The AFL-GM45 Series is also preinstalled with a
DVD Combo drive and includes a bay for a 2.5” SATA2 HDD for data storage.
Two serial ports and four external USB 2.0 ports ensure simplified connectivity to a variety
of external peripheral devices. Wireless LAN and dual RJ-45 Ethernet connectors ensure
uninterrupted connection to an external LAN.
The AFL-517A-GM45 includes both audio and visual multimedia capabilities. All models
have VGA, HDMI, and DisplayPort outputs for connecting another monitor to the system.

A rich high definition audio experience is supported through the HDMI, DisplayPort, and
audio jack connections.
The AFL-517A-GM45 panel PC is an elegant yet sophisticated system that is as easily
implemented in commercial, industrial, and corporate environments as the home.

1.2 External Overview
The stylish AFL-517A-GM45 panel PC comprises of a screen, rear panel, top panel,
bottom panel and two side panels (left and right). An ABS/PC plastic front frame surrounds
the front screen. The rear panel provides screw holes for a wall-mounting bracket
compliant with the VESA FDMI standard. An I/O interface panel on the bottom panel
provides access to external interface connectors.
1.2.1 Front Panel
The front side of the AFL-517A-GM45 is a flat panel TFT LCD screen surrounded by an
ABS/PC plastic frame. The top center has a power LED. The bottom includes a guide to
the OSD keypad controls. Refer to Figure 1-2.

1.2.2 Rear Panel
The rear panel provides access to the internal components of the POC-GM45 SERIES.

The I/O interface panel located on the bottom of the AFL-517A-GM45 has the following I/O
interface connectors:

1.3 Internal Overview
All the components are contained under the rear panel. The internal components include
the touch panel module and the motherboard. The motherboard has memory and a
wireless LAN module. An HSDPA module is available preinstalled or as an optional
add-on. The AFL-517A-GM45 includes a DVD Combo drive and bay for a 2.5” SATA
HDD.
