1 Functions and features
The units have been designed for use as field modules in automation technology.
Non-observance of the instructions, operation which is not in accordance with use
as prescribed below, wrong installation or incorrect handling can affect the safety
of operators and machinery.
2 Symbols used

Important note
Non-compliance can result in malfunction or interference.
3 Installation
►Disconnect the system from power before installation.
►For installation choose a flat mounting surface.
The entire bottom of the module must lie flat on the mounting surface.
►Fix the module onto the mounting surface using 2 M3 screws and washers.
4 Electrical connection
The unit must be connected by a qualified electrician.
The national and international regulations for the installation of electrical equipment
must be adhered to.
►Disconnect the installation from power and connect the unit.
Recommended tightening torques:
►M12 Profibus connection: 0.6 Nm.
►M12 sockets: 0.6 Nm
►M8 connections: 0.4 Nm
