1. Allgemeines
1.1. Sicherheitshinweise
Diese Beschreibung ist Bestandteil des Gerätes. Sie enthält Texte
und Abbildungen zum korrekten Umgang mit der Steuerung und
muss vor einer Installation oder dem Einsatz gelesen werden.
Befolgen Sie die Angaben der Beschreibung. Nichtbeachten der Hinweise, Be-
trieb außerhalb der nachstehend bestimmungsgemässen Verwendung,
falsche Installation oder fehlerhafte Handhabung können schwerwiegende
Beeinträchtigungen der Sicherheit von Menschen und Anlagen zur Folge ha-
ben.
Die Anleitung richtet sich an Personen, die im Sinne der EMV- und der Nie-
derspannungs-Richtlinie als “fachkundig” angesehen werden können. Die
Steuerungen sind von einer Elektrofachkraft (Programmierer bzw. Servicetech-
niker) einzubauen und in Betrieb zu setzen.
Die externe Versorgungsspannung muss gemäß den Kriterien für sichere
Kleinspannung (SELV) erzeugt und zugeführt werden, da diese ohne weitere
Maßnahmen zur Versorgung der angeschlossenen Steuerung, der Sensorik
und der Aktorik zur Verfügung gestellt wird.
Die Verdrahtung aller in Zusammenhang mit dem SELV-Kreis des Geräts ste-
henden Signale muss ebenfalls den SELV-Kriterien entsprechen (sichere
Schutzkleinspannung, galvanisch sicher getrennt von anderen Stromkreisen).
Wird die zugeführte SELV-Spannung extern geerdet (SELV wird zu PELV), so
geschieht dies in der Verantwortung des Betreibers und im Rahmen der dort
geltenden nationalen Installations-Vorschriften. Alle Aussagen in dieser Bedie-
nungsanleitung beziehen sich auf das bezügl. der SELV-Spannung nicht geer-
dete Gerät.
An den Anschlussklemmen dürfen nur die in den technischen Daten, bzw.
auf dem Geräteaufdruck angegebenen Signale eingespeist bzw. die zugelas-
senen Zubehörkomponenten der ifm electronic gmbh angeschlossen werden.
Bei Fehlfunktionen oder Unklarheiten setzen Sie sich bitte mit dem Hersteller
in Verbindung. Eingriffe in das Gerät können schwerwiegende Beeinträchti-
gungen der Sicherheit von Menschen und Anlagen zur Folge haben. Sie sind
nicht zulässig und führen zu Haftungs- und Gewährleistungsausschluss.

1.2. Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die Platinensteuerung ecomat 100 Typ CS0015 ist für den Einsatz als
Steuerung für Maschinen und Anlagen vorgesehen. Dazu muss sie in ein Me-
tallgehäuse (Schaltschrank) eingebaut werden.
CS0015 ist eine freiprogrammierbare Steuerung. Die Applikationssoftware
kann vom Anwender komfortabel mit dem Programmiersystem CoDeSys er-
stellt werden.
Zur Programmierung der Steuerung wird neben dem Programmiersystem
noch das vollständige Systemhandbuch für die Steuerung CS0015 benötigt.
Sollte es nicht vorliegen, kann es kostenlos bei einer der rückseitigen ifm-Nie-
derlassungen angefordert werden. Als Download-File (PDF-Format) steht das
Systemhandbuch auch im Internet unter „www.ifm-electronic.com“ zur Ver-
fügung.

Für die sichere Funktion der Applikationsprogramme, die vom
Anwender erstellt werden, ist dieser selbst verantwortlich. Bei
Bedarf muss er zusätzlich entsprechend der nationalen Vorschrif-
ten eine Abnahme durch entsprechende Prüf- und Überwa-
chungsorganisationen durchführen lassen.
Die Steuerung CS0015 ist nicht für sicherheitsrelevante Aufgaben
im Sinne des Personenschutzes zugelassen.
2. Montage, Betrieb und Bedienung
Die Steuerung wurde so konstruiert, dass für den bestimmungsgemäßen Be-
trieb eine einfache und sichere Installation ermöglicht ist. Die Installation ist
von Fachpersonal durchzuführen.
Die Platine muss auf eine Trägerschiene TS32 oder TS35 befestigt und in ein
Gehäuse eingebaut werden. Es sollte in Übereinstimmung mit den Vorschrif-
ten der lokalen und nationalen Bestimmungen ausgewählt und installiert
werden.
Die beim Betrieb der Steuerung erzeugte Abwärme muss frei entweichen
können, d.h. beim Einbau ist hinreichende Konvektion und Berührungsschutz
vor heißen Bauteilen sicherzustellen.
Die Steuerung ist mit integrierten CMOS-Bauteilen bestückt. Diese können
durch elektrostatische Entladungen zerstört werden. Solche elektrostatische
Entladungen können bereits bei der Berührung der Platine mit der Hand auf-
treten. Es sind entsprechende Maßnahmen zur Verhinderung bzw. Ableitung
der elektrischen Entladung bei Transport, Montage, Programmierung, Einstel-
lung an Schaltern und Betrieb der Steuerung vorzunehmen.

3. Elektrischer Anschluss
Das Gerät wurde so konstruiert, dass eine einfache und sichere Verdrahtung
ermöglicht wird.
Es dürfen keine Eingangs- und Ausgangs-Signale gemeinsam in einem
Mehraderkabel oder über die gleiche Signalleitung geführt werden.
Es sollten keine E-/A-Signalkabel in der Nähe von Leistungskabeln oder
in einem gemeinsamen Kabelkanal verlegt werden.
Werden die E-/A-Signale über zu große Leitungslängen übertragen,
kommt es zu Spannungsabfällen und Rauscheinwirkungen.
Es muss sichergestellt werden, dass das Gerät so weit wie möglich ent-
fernt von hochspannungsführenden Leitungen, Anlagen und Span-
nungsversorgungen montiert wird.
Störfestigkeit und Störstrahlung entsprechen der EMV-Richtlinie (CE-Konfor-
mität).
Spannungsversorgung darf nur über den Klemmenblock X5 erfolgen.
Der Anschluss der Spannungsversorgung darf auf keinen Fall an einer
anderen Klemme des Gerätes erfolgen.
Die Kleinspannung ist so zu generieren, dass sie den Kriterien einer si-
cheren Kleinspannung (SELV) genügt.
Die zusätzlichen Anschlüsse zur Störschutz-Erdung (GND) CM1, CM2
und CM5 haben keine interne Verbindung zum Minusanschluss der Pla-
tine (interene Masse).
4. Betriebssystem- und Programminstallation
Die Steuerungssoftware können Sie mit dem Programmiersystem CoDeSys er-
stellen.

8. Wartung, Instandsetzung und Entsorgung
Auf den Platinensteuerungen sind keine vom Anwender zu wartenden Bau-
teile. Die Instandsetzung der Module darf nur durch den Hersteller durchge-
führt werden.
Die Entsorgung muss gemäß der nationalen Umweltvorschriften erfolgen.

1. General
1.1. Safety instructions
This description is part of the unit. It contains texts and draw-
ings concerning the correct handling of the controller and must
be read before installation or use.
Observe the information of the description. Non-observance of the notes, op-
eration which is not in accordance with use as prescribed below, wrong in-
stallation or handling can result in serious harm concerning the safety of per-
sons and plant.
The instructions are for authorised persons according to the EMC and low
voltage guidelines. The controllers must be installed and commissioned by a
skilled electrician (programmer or service technician).
It must be ensured that the external voltage is generated and supplied ac-
cording to the criteria for safety extra-low voltage (SELV) as this is supplied
without further measures to the connected controller, the sensors, and the
actuators.
The wiring of all signals in connection with the SELV circuit of the unit must
also comply with the SELV criteria (safe extra-low voltage, safe electrical sepa-
ration from other electric circuits).
If the supplied SELV voltage has an external connection to ground (SELV be-
comes PELV) the responsibility lies with the user and the respective national
regulations for installation must be complied with. All statements in these op-
erating instructions refer to the unit the SELV voltage of which is not ground-
ed.
The terminals may only be supplied with the signals indicated in the technical
data or on the unit label and only the approved accessories of ifm electronic
gmbh may be connected.
In case of malfunctions or uncertainties please contact the manufacturer.
Tampering with the unit can lead to considerable risks for the safety of per-
sons and plant. It is not permitted and leads to the exclusion of any liability
and warranty claims.

1.2. Function and features
The pcb controller ecomat 100 type CS0015 is suited for use in plant and
machinery. It must be mounted in a metal housing (control cabinet).
CS0015 is a freely programmable controller. The application software can be
created by the user with the convenient programming system CoDeSys.
For the programming of the controller the programming system as well as
the complete hardware description for the CS0015 controller are required.

The user is responsible for the safe functioning of the application pro-
grams which he creates himself.
If necessary, he must additionally obtain an approval according
to the corresponding national regulations by the corresponding
testing and supervisory organisations.
The CS0015 controller is not approved for safety-relevant tasks
in the field of safety of persons.
2. Mounting, operation and handling
The controller was designed to enable simple and safe installation when used
according to the specifications. It must be installed by a skilled electrician.
The pcb must be mounted on a TS32 or TS35 rail and then into a housing. It
should be selected and installed in accordance with the regulations of the lo-
cal and national standards. Free escape of waste heat generated during the
operation of the controller, i.e. sufficient convection and protection against
accidental contact with hot components, must be ensured when the con-
troller is mounted.
The controller is equipped with integrated CMOS components. They can be
destroyed by electrostatic discharge which can already be caused when the
pcb is touched by hand. Measures have to be taken to prevent or divert elec-
trostatic discharge during transport, installation, programming, the setting of
switches and the operation of the controller.

3. Electrical connection
The unit was designed to enable simple and safe wiring.
No input and output signals must be transferred via one common mul-
tiple wire cable or the same signal wire. No I/O signal cables should be
laid near power cables or in a common cable duct. If the I/O signals are
transferred via too long cables, voltage drops and noise result.
It must be ensured that the unit is mounted as far away as possible
from high-voltage cables, installations and power supplies.
Interference immunity and interference emission correspond to the EMC
guideline (CE conformity).
Power must be supplied via the terminal block X5 only. In no case must
the power supply be connected to another terminal of the unit. The
low voltage is to be generated in a way that it adheres to the criteria of
a safe low voltage (SELV).
The additional ground connections for noise suppression (GND), CM1,
CM2 and CM5 have no internal connection with the minus connection
of the pcb (internal ground).
4. Operating system and program installation
The controller software can be created with the programming system
CoDeSys.

8. Maintenance, repair and disposal
The pcb controllers have no components to be maintained by the user. Only
the manufacturer is allowed to repair the modules.
Disposal must be according to the national environmental regulations.

10. Declaration of conformity
