Oxygen Concentrators
Filter Changing Instructions
Companion 5 Oxygen Concentrator

Intake Filter, J0744EMBD1:
1. Press the power switch in the “OFF” position and unplug the electrical cord.
2. Lay the concentrator gently on its side to access the bottom of the unit. (pic below)
3. If a small piece of a gross particle filter is noted, remove to access the screw. (pic below)
4. Remove the screw with a Phillips Screw Driver from the filter cover. (pic below)
5. Remove the filter cover by pulling using a hinge-like motion from the side where the
screw came out of to expose the filter. (pic below)
6. Remove the filter by pulling straight out.
7. Replace the filter and cover by reversing steps 1-6.

Hepa Filter, J0744D5:
1. Press the power switch in the “OFF” position and unplug the electrical cord.
2. Remove 4 screws from the bottom and sides of the concentrator. Remove 2 screws from within the handle. The gross
particle filter will need to be removed to expose the screws within the handle. (pic below)
3. Gently and carefully separate the front from the back panel of the unit. Take care not to let them get too far apart as
there are important connections that must remain intact. (pic below)
4. Locate the Hepa filter inside the unit. With gentle traction, remove the hose from each end of the Hepa filter. (pic below)
5. Replace the filter, close and secure the unit by reversing steps 1-3.

Gross Particle Filter Maintenance:
1. Power off the concentrator.
2. Remove the gross particle filter, located within the carrying handle.
3. Wash with warm water and a mild soap solution.
4. Rinse thoroughly and squeeze excess water out.
5. Allow filter to dry completely before reinserting. Do not operate concentrator without
filter in place. Check filter daily, clean weekly or more often as required.

Gross Particle Filter, J0744AQD1:
1. Locate filter on back of concentrator. (pictured)
2. Remove filter. Rinse and wipe dry.
Allow to air-dry if needed.
3. Replace the dry filter.
4. Replace the filter if it gets damaged.
Clean approximately every 100 hours of use,
or more often depending on the environment.
Felt Filter, J0744AQD2:
1. Power off the concentrator and unplug the electrical cord.
2. Unscrew two ¼ turn fasteners located on the left side, the
side where the electrical cord inserts into the unit. Remove
the panel on the left side of the concentrator to expose the
felt filter. (pictured)
3. Locate and remove the filter by gently pulling straight up.
4. Replace the new filter by reversing steps 1-3.
Regalia Oxygen Concentrator
Felt Filter, J0744D1:
1. The intake filter is located on the top of the concentrator.
Gently remove the filter. (pictured)
2. Wash with water and mild soap, rinse thoroughly and
squeeze out excess water.
3. Allow the filter to air dry. Do not replace the filter if still wet.
Do not use the concentrator until the filter is in place.
4. Reinsert the filter in the cabinet. Check filter daily, clean
weekly or more often as required.
Compressor Filter, J0744D2:
1. Power off the concentrator and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove 4 screws from back of the unit, located on the
edges, and 1 screw from within the handle.
3. Remove the paneling to expose the front of the unit. (pictured)
4. Locate the compressor filter and unstrap the Velcro. (pictured)
5. Back out the filter.
6. Replace the filter and paneling by reversing steps #1-5.

Hepa Filter, J0744D5:
1. Power off the concentrator and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove 4 screws from back of the unit, located on the
edges, and 1 screw from within the handle.
3. Remove the paneling to expose the back side of the unit.
4. Locate the filter on the right side of the unit, when viewed
from the back. (pictured)
5. Using gentle traction, remove the hosing from both sides
of the filter.
6. Replace the new filter and paneling by reversing steps 1-5.
Instructions for Discontinued Models
Nidek Nuvo Lite 5L - J0744EMA
Cabinet Air Filter, J0744EMD2:
1. Power off the concentrator.
2. Remove the filter from the back of the concentrator.
3. Wash filter with water and a mild detergent. Rinse
thoroughly and towel dry. Allow to air dry completely
before reinserting.
4. Reinsert the clean filter. Ensure the filter edges are
under the tabs. Clean the filter once weekly or more
frequently in high dust environments. Replace if
damaged. Do not operate concentrator without filter
in place.
Compressor Filter (Air Intake Filter), J0744EMD1:
1. Power off concentrator and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the cabinet air filter to locate the inlet air
filter.
3. Remove the filter from the unit and replace with a
new filter. This filter should be changed every 2 years
or more often depending on the environment.
4. Reinstall the cabinet air filter.
Hepa Filter (Final Product Filter), J0744D5:
1. Power off the concentrator and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the upper cabinet back by unscrewing 5
screws, two at the top near the handle and three near
the bottom of the upper section. Locate the final
product filter.
3. Observe the position of the filter (flow direction)
before removal.
4. Separate the silicone tubing from both sides of the
filter.
5. Install the new filter with the inlet side in the same
position as before. Push the tubing together so that it
overlaps the barbs of the final product filter
connections.
6. Reinstall the upper cabinet back. This filter should
only be replaced if it restricts oxygen flow.
Nuvo 10 - J0744AN
Cassette Filter (Inlet Air Filter), J0744AND1:
1. Power off the concentrator and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the rear cabinet access panel by unscrewing two
screws near the base (one on each side) and two inset
screws at the top just under the handle.
3. Locate the intake filter. Remove and replace with new
filter.
4. Replace access panel. This filter should be replaced
annually, or more often depending on the environment.
Foam Filter (Cabinet Air Filter), J0744AND2:
1. Power off the concentrator. Locate and remove the filter
on the back of the unit.
2. Wash the dirty filter with water and mild detergent.
3. Rinse thoroughly and squeeze out excess water.
4. Allow filter to dry completely before reinstalling. Do not
allow concentrator to run without filter in place. Clean
filter weekly or more often depending on environment.
Replace if damaged.
Hepa Filter (Final Product Filter), J0744D5:
1. Power off the concentrator and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the rear cabinet access panel by unscrewing two
screws near the base (one on each side) and two inset
screws at the top just under the handle.
3. Locate the final product filter and observe the flow
direction of the filter before removal.
4. Separate the silicone tubing from both sides of the filter.
5. Install the new filter with the inlet side in the same
position as before. Push the tubing together so that is
overlaps the barbs of the final product filter connections.
6. Reinstall the cabinet back. This filter only needs replaced
if it restricts oxygen flow.
