1.1. I troductio
• This booklet contains the necessary instructions for a correct
installation, running, use and maintenance of the com ressor, as well
as some ractical suggestions for a safe o erating.
• The knowledge of the following ages will grant a long and
trouble-free o eration of the com ressor.
• Following the instructions below contributes to limiting um re air
ex enses by extending its duration, as well as reventing hazardous
situations, thereby increasing its reliability.
• If the um is driven by an hydraulic motor lease refer to
manufacturer's s ecific manual.
• It is recommended to:
- Understand and a ly carefully the instructions before running the
um .
- Kee the booklet at hand and have it known to all o erators.
• Below is a brief descri tion of the symbols used in this manual.
If these safety rules are not res ected, o erators can be
injured and the com ressor or oilers damaged remarkably.

manual are there to illustrate the roduct in the arts that make it u

manual may differ from the one urchased, the o erating rinci le at
the base of the illustrated o erating hase is the same.
• Each HELIX shows a manufacturer late that s ecifies:

• HELIX vacuum um s are tri-lobe worm screw rofile blowers s ecifically designed for vacuum lants that must convey gas free from olluting
substances, oil or water: this is made ossible due to the lack of sliding arts, and therefore oil lubrication within the com ression chambers.
• HELIX blowers do not need any auxiliary cooling system, as they are rovided with a built in air injection cooling system.
• The s ecific and accurate lobes rofiles grant high volumetric efficiency and high flow rates combined with minimized dimensions and vacuum
rates that can reach 93%.
• O erating without oil (no oil emission into the atmos here) and without wear- roof o eration, reduced maintenance.
• Silencers are designed to be installed in corres ondence with the discharge and injection line (de ending on the choice of model) of lobe
vacuum um s (without lubrication). All silencers are equi ed with cou ling flanges.
STANDARD EQUIPMENT
• Volumetric pump with synchronised hase helical gears.
• Tri-lobe worm screw profile rotors, dynamically balanced rotors
to reduce vibrations.
• S lash lubricated bearings and gears in the front and rear boxes.
Internal combined seals: Y-seals and labyrinth seals with
PTFE/cast iron rings with discharge into the atmos here. Seals
and gaskets for high tem eratures.
• Side air i jectio cooli g system with cla et valve. This valve
o ens only in the vacuum functioning mode.
• Overheati g thermostat on the exhaust ort.
• Removable lifting oints.
• I ductive se sor.
