shall be read to and discussed with the operator in the operator's native language by the purchaser/owner or his designee, making

THE NATURE OF HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS
The use of bottle jacks is subject to certain hazards that cannot be prevented by mechanical means, but only by the exercise of
intelligence, care, and common sense. It is essential to have personnel involved in the use and operation of the jack who are careful,
competent, trained, and qualied in the safe operation of the jack and its proper use when servicing motor vehicles and their com-
ponents. Examples of hazards are dropping, tipping or slipping of loads caused primarily by improperly securing loads, overloading,
off-centered loads, use on other than hard level surfaces, and using equipment for a purpose for which it was not intended.
METHODS TO AVOID HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS
 • Read,study,understandandfollowallinstructionsbeforeoperatingthisdevice.
 • Inspectthejackbeforeeachuse.Donotusejackifdamaged,altered,modied,inpoorcondition,leakinghydraulicuid,
or unstable due to loose or missing components. Make corrections before using.
 • Liftonlyatpointsofthevehiclespeciedbythevehiclemanufacturer.
 • UsersandbystandersmustweareyeprotectionthatmeetsANSIZ87.1andOSHAstandards.
 • Donotusejackbeyonditsratedcapacity.
 • Nopersonshouldbeunderavehiclewhenjackisinuse.
 • Thisisaliftingdeviceonly.Immediatelyafterlifting,supportthevehiclewithjackstandscapableofsustainingtheload
  beforeworkingonthevehicle.

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
   ThisisthesafetyalertsymbolusedfortheSETUPINSTRUCTIONSsectionofthismanualtoalertyoutopotentialpersonal
injury hazards. Obey all instructions to avoid possible injury or death.
SETUP
1. Refertotheexplodedviewpartsdrawinginthismanualtoidentifypartsmentionedinthissetupprocedure.
2. The two piece handle (#26) can be slip t together to form a complete handle length. Make sure the spring loaded wire in the
smaller diameter handle engages the slotted hole in the larger diameter handle.
3. Sometimesairgetstrappedinthehydraulicsystemduringshippingand/orhandling.
PURGINGAIRFROMTHEHYDRAULICSYSTEM
 a. Attachtheendofthehandle(#26)tothejack'sreleasevalve(#28)andturnthehandleinacounterclockwisedirection
two full revolutions from its closed position.
 b. Installthehandleinthepumphandle(#26)receiver(#22)andpumpthejackabout15incrementalpumpstrokes.
 c. Attachtheendofthehandle(#26)onthereleasevalve(#28)againandturnthehandleinaclockwisedirectionuntiltight.
 d. Proceedtopumpthehandleuntiltheramraisestomaximumheight.
 e. Repeatsteps"a"through"d"untilallairispurgedfromthesystem.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
   ThisisthesafetyalertsymbolusedfortheOPERATINGINSTRUCTIONSsectionofthismanualtoalertyoutopotential
personal injury hazards. Obey all instructions to avoid possible injury or death.
IMPORTANT:Beforeattemptingtoraiseanyvehicle,checkvehicleservicemanualforrecommendedliftingsurfaces.
OPERATION
1. Becomefamiliarwiththeidenticationandfunctionoftheoperatingjackcomponents.
 a. Theram(#8)istheshaftthatcomesoutofthejackwhenyouactivatethepumppiston(#16).
 b. Theram(#8)isequippedwithanextensionscrew(#7)whichcanbeunscrewedtoextendfromtheram(#8)ifthereisnot
enough hydraulic stroke to raise the load to the desired height.
2. Chockthevehicle'stiresthatwillnotbeliftedoffthegroundpriortoliftingthevehicleandifavailable,applytheemergencybrake
or any other method of braking.
3. Positionthejackatthedesignatedliftpoint.Estimatetherequiredramtraveltoraisethevehicletothedesiredheight.Ifthetotal
 ramtravelwillnotliftthevehicletothedesiredheight,unscrewtheextensionscrew(#7)rstsothelowheightofthejackwillbe
higher, thereby providing more effective ram stroke.
4. Turnthereleasevalve(#28)inaclockwisedirectionuntiltight.
5. Withthejackintheloweredposition,placethejackunderthevehicle,butdonotputyourbodyunderthevehicle.
IMPORTANT:Usethevehiclemanufacturer'srecommendedliftingproceduresandliftingpointsbeforeliftingloads.
6. Oncethejackisinplace,activatethepumpuntilthetopoftheextensionscrew(#7)comesclosetothedesignatedliftpoint.
Make sure the
 designatedliftpointisat,paralleltothegroundandfreefromgrease,anykindoflubricant,anddebris.Proceedwithpumping
 thejackinordertoliftthevehicletothedesiredheight.Duringlifting,inspectthepositionofthejackinrelationtothegroundand
 theram(#8)inrelationshiptotheloadtopreventanyunstableconditionsfromdeveloping.Ifconditionslookliketheyare
becoming unstable, slowly lower the load and make appropriate setup corrections after the load is fully lowered.
7. Whenthevehicleorloadisliftedtoitsdesiredheight,immediatelyplacesafetysupportstands(jackstands)intheirdesignated
 locationsandadjustthestands'supportcolumnsupasclosetothedesignatedvehiclesupportpointsaspossible.Althoughjack
 standsareindividuallyrated,theyaretobeusedinamatchedpairtosupportoneendofthevehicleonly.Standsarenottobe
 usedtosimultaneouslysupportbothendsoronesideofavehicle.Slowlyandcarefullyturnthereleasevalve(#28)ina
counterclock wise direction to gently lower the vehicle onto the safety support stands (jack stands). Make sure the vehicle is
safely supported by the safety support stands' (jack stands) saddles and not the locating lugs of the saddles. Inspect the
relationship of the safety support stands (jack stands) with the ground and the safety support stand (jack stand) columns and
 saddleswiththevehicletopreventanyunstableconditions.Ifconditionslookunstable,closethejack'sreleasevalve(#28)and
pump the jack to raise the vehicle off the safety support stands (jack stands). Make the appropriate setup changes, and slowly
and carefully lower the vehicle onto the safety support stand saddles.
8. Aftertheworkisdone,closethereleasevalve(#28)andpumpthejackuntilitishighenoughtoremovethevehicleorloadfrom
 thesafetysupportstandsaddles.Besureloadisstable.Ifitisnot,lowerloadbackontosafetysupportstands.Makeappropriate
 setupcorrectionsandrepeatthestepagain.Removethesafetysupportstandsfromunderthevehicle,beingverycarefulnotto
move the vehicle.
9. Turnthereleasevalve(#28)inacounterclockwisedirectionveryslowlyandcarefullytolowerthevehicleorloaddowntothe
ground.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
ThisisthesafetyalertsymbolusedforthePREVENTATIVEMAINTENANCEsectionofthismanualtoalertyoutopotential
personal injury hazards. Obey all instructions to avoid possible injury or death.
IMPORTANT:Anyjackfoundtobedefectiveasaresultofwornpartsduetolackoflubrication,orhydraulicsystem
contaminated with water, rust and/or foreign materials is not eligible for warranty consideration.
1. Alwaysstorethejackinawellprotectedareawhereitwillnotbeexposedtoinclementweather,corrosivevapors,abrasivedust,or
any other harmful elements. The jack must be cleaned of water, snow, sand, grit, oil, grease or other foreign matter before using.
2. Thejackmustbelubricatedperiodicallyinordertopreventprematurewearingofparts.Ageneralpurposegreasemustbeappliedto
 thethreadsontheextensionscrew.Donotlubricateanyportionoftheliftsaddleandmakesurethesaddleisfreefromgrease,any
kind of lubricant, or debris before using the jack.
3. Itshouldnotbenecessarytorellortopoffthereservoirwithhydraulicuidunlessthereisanexternalleak.Anexternalleakrequires
immediate repair which must be performed in a dirt-free environment by qualied hydraulic repair personnel who are familiar with this
 equipment.AuthorizedServiceCentersarerecommended.IMPORTANT:Inordertopreventsealdamageandjackfailure,neveruse
 alcohol,hydraulicbrakeuid,ortransmissionoilinthejack.Usehydraulicjackoil.
4. Everyjackownerisresponsibleforkeepingthejacklabelcleanandreadable.Useamildsoapsolutiontowashexternalsurfacesof
the jack but not any moving hydraulic components.
5. Donotattempttomakeanyhydraulicrepairsunlessyouareaqualiedhydraulicrepairpersonthatisfamiliarwiththisequipment.
TROUBLESHOOTING

K-ToolInternationalLiftingEquipmentiswarrantedtobefreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanshipwithinoneyearfromthedateof
original purpose. This warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser only. If any jack or service-related item proves to be defective
during this period, it will be replaced or repaired, at K-Tool International’s option, without charge. This warranty does not apply to
damage from accident, overload, misuse or abuse, nor does it apply to any equipment which has been altered or used with special
attachments other than those recommended. This warranty does not cover repairs made by anyone who is not a K-Tool International
ProfessionalLiftingEquipmentAuthorizedRepairCenter.
AllStandardDutyjacksorservice-relatedequipmentwillbereplacedorrepairedatK-ToolInternational’soptionduringthe1year
warrantyperiod.Duringthe1yearwarrantyperiod,allallegeddefectiveproductsand/orpartsmustbeshipped,freightprepaid,along
withproofofdate-of-purchase,toyournearestK-ToolInternationalProfessionalLiftingEquipmentAuthorizedWarrantyCenter.Be
certain to include your name, address and phone number along with proof-of-purchase information, and a brief description of the alleged
defect. The product will be returned to the customer, freight prepaid.

2. Elmango(#26)dedospiezaspuedenacoplarsejuntospordeslizamientoparaformarunalargurademangocompleto.Asegúrese
 queelalambreaccionadoporresorteenelmangodediámetromáspequeñoseencajeconelagujeroconranuraenelmangode
diámetro más grande.
3. Avecesseatrapaaireenelsistemahidráulicoduranteelenvíoy/omaniobra.
PURGANDOELAIREDELSISTEMAHIDRÁULICO
 a. Sujetelapuntadelmango(#26)alaválvuladeliberación(#28)ygireelmangoenelcontrasentidodelasagujasdelrelojdos
revoluciones completas.
 b. Instaleelmango(#26)enelreceptordelmango(#22)delabombaybombeeelgatoaproximadamente15recorridosincre
mentales de la bomba.
 c. Sujetedenuevolapuntadelmango(#26)enlaválvuladeliberación(#28)ygireelmangoenelsentidodelasagujasdelreloj
hasta que esté apretado.
 d. Procedaabombearelmangohastaqueelpistónseelevehastasualturamáxima.
 e. Repitalospasos“a”al“d”hastaquetodoelairesehayapurgadodelsistema.

OPERACIÓN
1. Familiaríceseconlaidenticaciónyfuncióndeloscomponentesdelaoperacióndelgato.
 a. Elpistón(#8)eselejeelquesaledelgatoalmomentodeactivarelpistón(#16)delabomba.
 b. Elpistón(#8)equipadoconuntornillo(#7)deextensiónelcualpuededesatornillarseparaextendersedelpistón(#8)sinohay
suciente recorrido hidráulico para levantar la carga hasta la altura deseada.
2. Calcelasllantasdelvehículolasquenoseránlevantadasdelpisoprevioallevantamientodelvehículoysiesdisponible,aplique
el freno de emergencia o cualquier otro método de frenado.
3. Coloqueelgatoenelpuntodeseadodelevantamiento.Estimeelrecorridorequeridodelpistónnecesarioparalevantarel
 vehículohastalaalturadeseada.Sielrecorridototaldelejenolevantaráelvehículohastalaalturadeseada,desatornilleel
 tornillo(#7)deextensiónprimeroconelndequelaalturabajadelgatoseamásalta,porendebrindandounrecorridomás
efectivo del eje.

IMPORTANTE:Uselosprocedimientosypuntosdelevantamientorecomendadosporelfabricantedelvehículoantesdelevantar
las cargas.
6. Unavezqueelgatoestéensulugar,activelabombahastaquelaparteposteriordelequipadoconuntornillo(#7)seacerqueal
 puntodesignadodelevantamiento.Asegúresequeelpuntodesignadodelevantamientoestéplano,paraleloalpisoylibrede
 grasa,cualquiertipodelubricanteyescombros.Procedaconelbombeodelgatoconelndelevantarelvehículohastalaaltura
 deseada.Duranteellevantamiento,inspeccionelaposicióndelgatoconrelaciónalpisoyeleje(#8)conrelaciónalacargapara
 asíprevenireldesarrollodecualquiercondicióninestable.Siaparentaserquelascondicionesseestánvolviendoinestables,baje
la carga lentamente y realice las correcciones adecuadas de montaje después de que se baje la carga completamente.
7. Cuandoelvehículoocargaseelevehastalaalturadeseada,inmediatamentecoloquelasbasesdesoportedeseguridad(las
bases del gato) en sus ubicaciones designadas y ajuste las columnas de soporte de las bases lo más cercano posible a los
 puntosdesoportedesignadosdelvehículo.Aunquelasbasesdelgatoestánclasicadasindividualmente,éstasestándesigna
 dasparausarseenparesequivalentesparasoportarunextremodelvehículosolamente.Lasbasesnoestándestinadaspara
 usarseparasimultáneamentesoportarambosextremosounladodelvehículo.Girelaperilladeliberación(#28)lentamenteyde
forma cuidadosa en el sentido de las agujas del reloj para bajar el vehículo suavemente sobre las bases de soporte de seguridad
 (lasbasesdelgato).Asegúresequeelvehículoestésoportadoseguramenteporlassillasdelasbasesdesoportedeseguridad
(las bases del gato) y no en las terminales de ubicación de las sillas. Inspeccione la relación de las bases de soporte de
seguridad (las bases del gato) con el piso y las columnas y sillas de la base de soporte de seguridad (la base del gato) con el
 vehículoparaasíprevenircualquiercondicióninestable.Silacondiciónaparentaserinestable,cierrelaválvuladeliberación
 (#28)delgatoybombeeelgatoparalevantarelvehículodelasbasesdesoportedeseguridad(lasbasesdelgato).Realicelos
cambios adecuados de montaje y baje el vehículo lentamente y de forma cuidadosa sobre las sillas de la base de soporte de
seguridad.

 quitarelvehículoolacargadelassillasdelasbasesdesoportedeseguridad.Asegúresequelacargaestéestable.Sinolaestá,baje
 lacargasobrelasbasesdesoportedeseguridadnuevamente.Realicelascorreccionesdemontajeadecuadasyrepitalospasosde
nuevo. Extraiga las bases de soporte de seguridad de debajo del vehículo, asegurándose de no mover el vehículo.
9. Girelaválvuladeliberación(#28)enelsentidodelasagujasdelrelojmuylentamenteydemaneracuidadosaparabajarelvehículoo
carga hasta el piso.
MANTENIMIENTO DE SEGURIDAD
   EstesímboloindicaunaalertadeseguridadyseutilizaenlapartedeestemanualqueversasobreelMANTENIMIENTODE
   SEGURIDAD,conelndeadvertirsobrelospeligrosdeaccidentespersonales.Observetodaslasinstruccionesparaevitar
lesiones o peligros de muerte. IMPORTANTE:Andeprevenirdañosenlasjuntasherméticasyfallaseneldispositivo,nouse
   alcohol,líquidodefrenoshidráulicosniaceitedetransmisiónenelgato.Cualquiergatoqueseencuentradefectuosocomo

1. Siemprealmaceneelgatoenunaáreabienprotegidadondenoestaráexpuestoalasinclemenciasdeltiempo,losvapores
 corrosivos,elpolvoabrasivooaningúnotroelementodañino.Previoaluso,elgatodebeestarlimpiodeagua,nieve,arena,arenilla,
aceite, grasa y otro material foráneo.
2. Elgatosedebelubricarenformaperiódicaandeprevenireldesgasteprematurodesuspartes.Sedebeaplicargrasadeuso
general en todas las articulaciones, las ruedas pivotantes y del eje delantero, el brazo elevador, los pernos pivotantes de la base de la
palanca, el sistema de seguridad y las demás supercies de apoyo.
3. Nodeberásernecesariorellenarollenaraltopeeldepósitoelquecontieneellíquidohidráulico,almenosquehayaunafugaexterna.
 Unafugaexternarequierereparacionesinmediataslascualesdebenrealizarseenunambientelibredesuciedadporpartede
 personalcalicadoenlasreparacioneshidráulicasyquienesseanfamiliarizadosconesteequipo.Serecomiendausarloscentrosde
servicio autorizados. IMPORTANTE:Conelndeprevenirdañosalselloyfallasdelgato,nuncausealcohol,líquidodefreno
hidráulico ni aceite para transmisiones con el gato. Useaceiteparagatohidráulico.
4. Cadapropietariodelgatoesresponsablepormantenerlimpiasylegibleslasetiquetasdelgato.Useunasolucióndejabónsuave
para lavar las supercies externas del gato pero sin mover ninguno de los componentes hidráulicos móviles externos.
