Thank you for choosing a Kanto full motion wall mount. The PDX650 and PDX650W are designed to mount flat panel
televisions weighing up to 125 lbs (57 kg), extend almost 22” from your wall, sit less than 2” from the wall when fully
compressed, pan left and right up to 80º (depending on TV size), and tilt your TV +15º / –3º. You can also adjust the
horizontal level ±3°.
Read these instructions fully before installation of this mount. If you do not understand these directions, or have any
doubts about the safety of the installation, please consult a qualified installation contractor to install this mount. Make
sure there are no defective or missing parts. Do not use defective parts. If there is hardware missing, or if you are
uncertain whether the part is defective call Kanto directly at 1-888-848-2643 or [email protected]. Kanto cannot
be liable for property damage or injury caused by incorrect mounting, incorrect assembly, lifting or incorrect use of this
product.
This product should not be mounted on steel stud walls or cinder block walls. Consult a qualified installation contractor if
you are unsure about the type of wall you may have.
CAUTION
The maximum loading weight is 125 lbs (57 kg). This wall mount is intended for use only with the maximum
weights indicated. Use with products heavier than the maximum weights indicated may result in instability causing possible
injury. Recommended TV Size: 37 inch to 70 inch.
See installation video online at:
www.kantoliving.com/product/mounts/pdx650#video
CAUTION
The wall you plan to affix the Kanto mount to must be able to support more than 5 times the weight of the
television and the wall mount combined. Do not use this product for any purpose other than to mount a flat panel TV on
a vertical surface as outlined in this manual. Improper installation may cause damage to your TV or serious injury. This
product should not be mounted to steel stud walls, cinder block or old concrete walls. Consult a qualified installation
contractor if you are unsure about the type of wall you may have.

WARNING
Never over-tighten a bolt into the back of your flat panel TV.
Do not lay the TV face down on its glass front. Use a wall or a TV stand.
Step 1: Attach Bracket Arms to TV
Step 1.1 Remove the nylock nuts and washers from the
studs on the TV Bracket Arms, as shown in Diagram A,
and put them aside.
Step 1.2 Determine the correct size of bolt.
Kanto provides 3 bolt diameters (Metric sizes M5, M6 and
M8) in various lengths.
Part items: A, B, C, D, Eor F.
Select the correct diameter bolt and hand screw into
the back of the TV to determine the correct length. Use
washer (J) for bolts A, B, Cor D(M5 or M6 size), and
washer (K) for bolts Eor F(M8 size).
If your TV has a curved back or the mounting holes are
recessed, you can use a combination of spacers (G, H or
I, depending on the selected bolt) to ensure a proper fit.
You can use spacers inside or outside the bracket arm, as
shown in Diagram B.
Step 1.3 Attach TV Bracket.
Insert the Bolts through the washers (if necessary), TV
Bracket, and Spacers (R) (if necessary), then thread into
the mounting holes (see Diagram B).
Diagram A
There are a wide variety of TVs available that require different bolt sizes. We provide a selection of mounting bolts to fit
most TVs. If you have any concerns about this mounting hardware or installation call us direct at 1-888-848-2643 or email
at support@kantoliving.com.

Step 2: Prepare “H” Assembly and Attach to TV
Step 2.1 Prepare the “H” Assembly.
Remove the four small M3 screws from the back of the
Vertical Support, as shown in Diagram C.
Slide the Horizontal Supports through the cutouts on the
Vertical Support, then insert and tighten the M3 screws,
as shown in Diagram C.
Step 2.2 Attach the “H” Assembly.
Generally, you will center the “H” Assembly on the
back of your TV, but you may offset the TV from center
by sliding the “H” Assembly left or right as desired.
Determine where you want to position the “H” Assembly
on the back of the TV, and re-attach the four washers and
Nylock nuts, as shown in Diagram D.
Next, you will create the “H” Assembly and attach it to the bracket arms mounted to your television.

Step 3: Mount Wall Plate
Wood Stud Wall
The Wall Plate must be mounted to two wood studs. Use
a stud sensor to locate the two studs, clearly marking the
outer edges of the studs. Use a level to ensure the two
holes are level at the desired height.
Pre-drill two upper holes in the center of your studs, and
attach the Wall Plate to the wall using Lag Bolts (N) and
Lag Bolt Washers (L) (see Diagram E). Do not over-tighten
Lag Bolts (N). Make sure the Wall Plate is flat against the
wall surface. Using the Wall Plate as template, pre-drill the
bottom two holes, and secure using Lag Bolts (N) and Lag
Bolt Washers (L), taking care not to over-tighten.
Brick or Concrete Wall
Using the Wall Plate as a template, mark four holes at your
desired height (toward the outer edge of the Wall Plate).
Adjust the Wall Plate position to be clear of mortar joints,
keeping in mind that the mount provides minor horizontal
shift along the length of the Wall Plate. Use a level to
ensure the holes are level and at the desired height.
Pre-drill four holes, and insert a Concrete Anchor (M) into
each of the holes flush with the concrete wall surface and
not flush with the surface covering, such as drywall.
Attach the Wall Plate using Lag Bolts (N) and Lag Bolt
Washers (L) (see Diagram F). Make sure the Wall Plate is
flat against the wall surface. Do not over-tighten Lag Bolts
(N).

CAUTION
Make sure the supporting surface will support the
load limits outlined in the Caution at bottom of page two.
Tighten Lag Bolts until the Wall Plate is snug flat against
the wall. Do not over tighten Lag Bolts (N). Each Lag Bolt
must be located in the center of a wood stud.
CAUTION
Make sure the concrete or brick wall is at least
3.5” thick. Make sure the anchor is seated completely flush
with the concrete surface even if there is another layer of
material, such as drywall. If drywall is over 5/8” thick custom
lag bolts must be used. Concrete must be a minimum of
2000 psi in density.

Step 4: Attach TV to Wall Plate
Remove the captive Nylock Nuts and washers from the Vertical
Support, as shown in Diagram G, and ensure that the top
captive nut on the Vertical Support is loosened. Use two people
to lift the TV and “H” Assembly onto the Tilt Head Plate. Hook
and seat the “H” Assembly on the Tilt Head Plate (see Diagram
G). Use caution during this step; until all the washers and Nylock
nuts are installed the TV will remain unstable on the mount.
Install the bottom two washers and Nylock nuts as shown in
Diagram G, and tighten all three nuts using a socket driver.

CAUTION
Read this section carefully prior to install.
The PDX650 and PDX650W have four cable management clips
pre-installed to the bottom of the wishbone arms. To use a clip,
remove the screw at the back end of the clip using a Phillips
screwdriver, swing the clip to one side and insert your cable(s).
Swing the clip back into place, then insert and tighten the
screw.

Tilt Nuts
Nylock Nuts
You can make minor (±3º) adjustments to the horizontal level
of the TV after installation. Loosen the two Nylock nuts on the
Tilt Head Plate as shown in Diagram H. Use a level to adjust the
horizontal level of the TV. Re-tighten the nuts using a socket
driver.
Step 6: Tilt the TV
WARNING
Use two people to lift and position the TV onto the Tilt Head Plate.
The PDX650 and PDX650W will tilt +15°/−3° to provide the ideal
viewing angle. Loosen the four Tilt Nuts on both sides of the
Tilt Head Plate and tilt the TV to the desired angle (See Diagram
I). When the TV is at the desired angle, re-tighten the four Tilt
Nuts with only enough tension to prevent tilt movement. Do
not over-tighten.
