REGULATED DC POWER SUPPLIES

The PAR Series are multi-function, highly reliable
CV/CC power supplies with built-in microcomputer and
voltage remote sensing terminal. When a PAR Series
power supply is incorporated in a system, it will be
compatible with a variety of remote control capabilities
including the GP-IB and computer control. Additionally,
the built-in listener/ talker functions make these
powerful, multi-function power supplies possible to
implement systems expansion safely for automated
measuring systems and simulation testing systems.

OUTLINE
Master Operation
The PAR Series power supplies are compatible with single-control
operation when they are incorporated in a system, with one master
capable of controlling up to ten slave power supplies, controlling
all the functions simultaneously under the same conditions.
External Remote Control
By connecting the RT-63 Remote Controller, it is possible to
simultaneously control functions such as preset value (output
value) switching and output ON/OFF status of up to 10 power
supplies. It is also possible to perform remote control using
contact or logic signals via the RT-63.
GP-IB Control Enabling Expansion of Applications in System
Power Supplies
When used in combination with the GP-IB adapter (GP-620), the
PAR Series power supplies are applicable to automated measuring
systems and the listener/talker functions enable the control of all
functions and the reading of all output voltage and current values.
Every GP-620 can control up to ten power supplied by
recognizing their IDs so a system with excellent safety can be
implemented. The system can be expanded more by increasing
the GP-620 GP-IB adapters.
Computer Control for Extension to Programmable Power
Supplies
An external computer can be directly connected to use the PAR
Series power supplies as programmable supplies and implement a
power supply system which can control all function settings and
read output voltage and current values of the supplies.

FEATURES
REMOTE CONTROL CAPABILITIES
Remote Sensing
The remote sensing terminal allows for compensation to handle
the voltage drop caused by the impedance of leads for up to 1 V
per path.
Three Preset Voltages
Up to 3 most frequently used voltage and current settings can be
preset to allow speedy output switching with a press of a button.
Output Protection
The output is interrupted when a preset key or variable key is
pressed so output of unexpected voltage or current can be
prevented. (It is also possible to disable the output protection
function.)
Key Lock
A key-lock function can be used to hold all setting values and
invalidate the input of other keys than the power switch, thereby
preventing the inadvertent changes of values during experiments.
Simultaneous Display of Voltage and Current
Output voltage and current are indicated simultaneously on 7-
segment LED display to allow easy checking of the output values
and setting values.
Energy Saving Design
The energy-saving design minimize temperature rise inside the
unit, making a ventilation fan unnecessary, and thereby
eliminating trouble such as noise, vibration and absorption of dirt.
Simplified Operation
The ease of operation is improved by adopting the one-touch
button or rotary encoder control operations for the setting of keys
and switches.
EXT CONTROL Signal Output
An open-collector signal is output for use in driving an external
relay, etc.
