SOLDERING IRON
1. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is switched ON.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
3. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
4. Extremely flammable contents under pressure. Do not expose the torch or fuel to temperatures exceeding 45ºC
or prolonged sunlight.
5. Maintain good ventilation.
6. Always wear goggles and protective gloves and use proper tools to handle hot work.
7. Never breathe in welding/soldering fumes.
8. Do not puncture or incinerate.
9. Never attempt to modify the tool construction, use unapproved accessories or fuels or attempt to repair a damaged tool.
10. Do not drop the gas soldering iron as the unit might be damaged and ceramic could be broken.
11. Follow refilling procedure to avoid serious accidents.
12. Do not ignite the torch near to the face, hands, clothing or inflammable materials.
13. Please note the butane flame may be barely visible in certain light conditions.
14. Place the appliance in its stand after use and allow it to cool down before storage;
15. Allow the gas soldering iron to cool down before storage.
16. Ensure flame extinguished and gas OFF after each use.
17. Never attempt to use the gas soldering iron as a cigarette lighter.
18. Be extra careful when using the gas soldering iron outdoors on sunny or windy days.
19. Wind may carry the torch’s heat back toward you or other areas not intended to be heated.
20. Never use the gas soldering iron to remove lead-based paint indoors or in any confined area.
Always check to make sure no intended parts or materials are being heated.
Whenever there is a possibility that unintended material has been heated, wait at least two hours before leaving the area.

Unpacking
1. Unpack all the components from the packaging.
2. When unpacking the K15351 Gas Soldering Iron, carefully inspect for any damage that may have occurred during transit.
3. Check for loose, missing or damaged parts.
4. Ensure all packaging materials are disposed of as per your local council guidelines.
Refilling operation
Note: Gas soldering Iron does NOT come filled with gas.
1. Ensure that the gas soldering iron is extinguished, in the OFF position and cool before refilling.
2. Allow sufficient time for the K15351 to cool to room temperature before refilling the gas soldering iron with fuel.
3. Refill K15351 in a well-ventilated area, free of fire or other sources of ignition, away from bystanders and any
flammable substance.
4. Never smoke while refilling the K15351.
5. Hold the K15351 with the fill valve (8) facing upwards.
6. Invert the refueling canister (not supplied), then insert the butane canister tip into the fill valve. Adaptors may be
needed, depending on refueling canister type (not supplied).
7. Push the butane canister and K15351 together and allow gas to flow into the internal gas tank.
8. The K15351 should take approximately 5 to 7 seconds to fill.
9. Stop refilling once the gas begins to expel from the fill valve.
10. Wait approximately 2 minutes to allow the gas to stabilize before igniting the K15351.
WARNING!: Before each use and after refilling, listen for leaks. Never use a flame to check for leaks, always use
soapy water to identify gas leaks.

21. Be especially careful to avoid fumes from cadmium, plating and galvanized metal.
22. Beware that the gas soldering iron tip and accessories get hot during use.
23. Be sure not pointed in a direction which would cause nearby objects to ignite.
24. Always have a fire extinguisher and a bucket of water near the gas soldering iron and work area.
25. Do not use water to cool down the gas soldering iron; it will damage the product.
26. The container requires to be stored and/or transported in an upright position.
27. The warnings, cautions and instructions discussed in this manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that
may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and cautions are factors which cannot be built into
this product, but must be supplied by the operator.

WARNING!: Before each use, ensure the locking nut (5) and all related tips and accessories are securely connected and tight.
Lighting and operation
Press and Hold Mode
1. Turn flame adjustment knob (12) approximately halfway between 2 and 3 position.
2. Press the lock-off button (6) down and slide the igniter switch (7) away from burner tip.
3. To turn off the K15351, release igniter switch to extinguish K15351.
Continuous Mode
1. Turn flame adjustment knob approximately halfway between 2 and 3 position.
2. Press the lock off button down and slide the igniter switch away from the burner.
3. Slide continuous lock (8) to “continuous” position to lock the igniter switch in the on position.
4. Release igniter switch.
5. To extinguish the K15351 slide the continuous lock to “off” position.
Adjust flame/temperature
1. Slide flame adjustment knob to “1” for small flame/low temperature (Fig 3).
2. Slide flame adjustment knob to “4” for large flame/high temperature.
Using as soldering iron
1. The K15351 is setup for use as a soldering iron and can be used immediately.
2. Loosen lock nut (5) and adjust the exhaust port (2) so that hot air escapes in a safe direction so it
does not burn the user or damage work surface.
3. Tighten lock nut with finger pressure.
4. Ignite K15351 as specified in “lighting and operation”.

Understanding The Gas Soldering Iron Components
1. The igniter switch/stand (7) is used to operate the tool, or can be used as a tool rest allowing
a hot soldering iron to remain a safe distance away from your workspace (Fig 1).
2. With the tool resting on the igniter switch/stand, the soldering iron can be placed onto a flat surface during
operation or once turned off, the soldering iron can cool down without making contact with your workspace.
3. Always ensure the protective cap (11) is fitted to the soldering iron as described in Installing protective cap (page 5) when not
in use (Fig 2).

Installing protective cap
1. Ensure that continuous lock (8) is in the “OFF” position.
2. Ensure that entire tip assembly is fully covered by the protective cap (14) .

Use as a hot air blower/blow torch
Option 1
1. Below instructions based on fully assembled soldering iron.
2. Remove the solder tip (1) from the soldering tip assembly (3) by rotating the solder tip (1) counter-clockwise.
3. K15351 is now ready for hot air blower operation.
4. Ignite K15351 specified in “lighting and operation”.
Option 2
1. Below instructions based on fully assembled soldering iron.
2. Remove the solder tip from the soldering tip assembly by rotating the soldering tip anti-clockwise,
from the gas torch shroud (4).
3. Rotate the lock nut (5) anti-clockwise to remove the gas torch shroud from the soldering iron.
4. Stand the gas torch shroud upright with the lock nut facing down, this will allow the soldering tip
assembly (3) to be removed from the gas torch shroud.
5. Reinstall the gas torch shroud by rotating the lock nut clockwise, until tight.
6. K15351 is now ready for use in blow torch operation.
7. Ignite K15351 as specified in “lighting and operation”.

Cleaning & maintenance
WARNING! Never use solvents or other harsh chemicals for cleaning any parts of the tool. These chemicals may
weaken the plastic materials used in these parts. Use a cloth dampened only with water and mild soap. Never let
any liquid get inside the tool; never immerse any part of the tool into a liquid.
Storage
1. Ensure that continuous lock (8) is in the “OFF” position.
2. Release igniter switch (7).
3. Allow several minutes for tool to cool.
4. Install protective cap (14) firmly and ensure igniter switch is in the OFF position.
5. Store torch out of reach of children in the protective case.
6. Do not expose/store tool to temperatures in excess of 45°C.
7. Store K15351 in well ventilated areas.

There are no spare parts available for this product. Additional solder is available at your local hardware store.
