ELECTRICAL INFORMATION
..oiiiiiiiiii,.
-
In the United Kingdom, the
ELECTRICITY AT WORK ACT 1989
requires all portable electrical appliances, if
used on business premises, to be tested by a qualified electrician, using a Portable Appliance Tester (PAT), at
least once a year. The
HEALTH
&
SAFETY AT WORK ACT 1974
makes owners of electrical appliances
responsible for the safe condition of the appliance and the safety of its operator. If in any doubt about
electrical safety, contact a qualified electrician.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
•An RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker) should be fitted in the mains electricity distribution board. If the
power supply is not protected by an RCCB, it is highly recommended that an RCD (Residual Current Device)
is used with all portable electrical products.
•Do not use any adaptor plugs.
•Do not carry or yank the tool by the cord/hose.
•Never expose power tools to rain or wet conditions as this will increase the risk of electric shock.
•Use an outdoor extension cord when operating a power tool outside.
EXTENSION REELS
When a cable extension reel is used it should be fully unwound before being connected. Use at least 1.5mm
2
section cable or to be absolutely sure use 2.5mm
2
section cable.

KOBE OPERATION -
INDUSTRIAL
POWER TOOLS
LED LIGHT (12 OR 20):
•
A_ WARNING! DO NOT STARE AT THE LED LIGHT NOR SHINE IT IN OTHER
l,il PEOPLE'S EYES.
Both the Combi Drill and the Impact Driver have LED Lights (12 or 20) to illuminate the workpiece.
The lights illuminate when the trigger is depressed and cuts off when the trigger is released.
DRILLING {COMBI DRILL ONLY):
1. Ensure that the material to be drilled is secured in a vice or with clamps to keep it from turning as the
drill bit rotates.
2. Hold the drill firmly and place the drill bit at the point to be drilled.
3. Depress the trigger (11) to start the rotation of the drill.
4.
Move the drill bit into the workpiece, applying only enough pressure to feed the cutting. Do not force or
apply side pressure to elongate a hole.
5.
Once hole is drilled switch the drill into reverse and guide out.
If drilling into metal use a light oil on the drill bit piece. This will help prevent the drill bit overheating and
prolong the life of the drill bit.
Please note: When drilling hard smooth surfaces use a centre punch to mark the desired hole location.
This will prevent the drill from slipping off centre as the hole is drilled. However, the lower speed
setting: 1 allows the starting of holes without punching if desired.
If the drill bit jams in the workpiece or if the drill stalls, stop the drill immediately, remove the drill bit
from the workpiece and determine the reason for jamming before continuing.
A
WARNING! Be prepared for binding or breakthrough. When these situations
L.il
occur, the drill has a tendency to grab and kick in the opposite direction
10
and could cause loss of control which could results in serious personal
injury.

increase the speed in the drill but decrease the power and torque.
It is recommended that you use Speed 1 (LOW) for high power and
torque applications and Speed 2 (HIGH) for fast drilling or driving
applications
TORQUE CONTROL (COMBI DRILL ONLY):
The Cambi Drill has Torque control. This prevents the heads of smaller
diameter screws being twisted off when correctly set.
Setting the Torque:
1. Turn the Torque Adjustment Ring (2) clockwise or anti-clockwise to
adjust the amount of torque
(See Fig.9).
2. Fastening torque is greater as the numerals are larger. The drill
position has full torque.
Please note: Overloading and stalling the drill at any time can lead
to
motor burnout and also dramatically reduces battery life.
FUNCTION SETTINGS (COMBI DRILL ONLY):
The Combi Drill has a function ring. This is used to switch between
